Kosakyun
You just asked for a beating by asking recommendations from us. Go watch the Fate series. It's good. Fate/Stay Night Unlimited Blade Works, Fate/Zero, and Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya is nice. I don't even know if I got the last one right. If you like those, go watch it's spinoff, Carnival Phantasm. The Railgun and Index series is also good. To Aru a best. The protagonist is absurdly unlucky and lucky though. I don't even know if I want to switch places with him. All the skinship though. Also, Gurren Lagann. Crazy thing out there. Just gotta believe in drills, right? Clephas
Legend of the Galactic Heroes (massive space opera, pre-moe, violent, complex, intellectually and emotionally stimulating) Noir (the first of the 'girls with guns' series that included El Cazador de la Bruja and Madlax, also considered a 'classic' anime) Ai Yori Aoshi (a love-comedy from the first part of the genre's 'golden era' - 1998-2006 - excellent main heroine, protagonist with a properly tragic past, generally humorous) Full Metal Panic (mechs, comedy, drama, and super-science) Gundam Wing (A classic, takes a different tack from the more surreal G Gundam or the long-running UC branches, downside of an overly idealistic heroine that is central to a lot of events, upside of a cool-headed ruthless protagonist) Gundam 00 (similar to above, has a more 'modern' slant, focuses on energy, drones, and rapid technological evolution in addition to war and peace - which is the central theme of all 'adult' Gundam series, main heroine isn't as annoying as Rilina from Wing, protagonist has a much more well-developed past and character) Code Geass (Melodrama, war, revolution, terrorism... it is all in there and the protagonist is central to it, a ruthless idealist with a significant amount of twisted chuunibyou to his character that has turned into real megalomania) Cowboy Bebop (personally not an ultimate favorite, but it is pretty much required reading for anime otakus) Kara no Kyoukai movies Fate/Zero
Deep Blue
Full Metal Panic! (all of them even fumoffu) Monster Corpse Princess
Hakamichi_Sajaki
I'd say the "Must watch" Anime varies on what you're into. That being said, I highly recommend the following: Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn Clannad Clannad After Story Spice And Wolf Neon Genesis Evangelion
