Besides reading VN and playing games, I'm currently studying for the JLPT (N2, finally!) and working on translating a VN to improve both my Japanese and my creative writing skills. I'm sure you have figured this out, but translating and editing visual novels requires decent Japanese and some creativity, seeing as Japanese is far different from English.
