Summary

---

The story takes place in an imaginary world in "the Age of Detectives", where private detectives and phantom thieves overwhelm the cities. Both detectives and phantom thieves have special powers known as Toys. Former great detective Kobayashi Opera, who lost his Toys five years ago in a battle with Phantom Thief L, is tasked with leading a team of four junior detectives as they battle against the newly formed Phantom Thief Empire.

 

Gameplay

Every chapter (except the last one) follows a similar pattern

• First Kobayashi will have doubts you must answer.
• Second you will proceed to investigate a room, this is where you find clues and analyze data. 
• Third you will have the ability to cause good/bad impressions on the Milky Holmes members.
• Finally you will have to chase the culprit.

 

About Kobayashi's doubts

During the dialogue a screen will appear with a question that's on Kobayashi's mind.

These questions are always preceeded by Kobayashi innerly saying "Hm..?"

You need to answer correctly before the timer runs out.

There is a different sound for right and wrong answers so you can tell if you got it right.

Too many incorrect answers may lead to a game-over.

 

Investigations

When you're prompted to investigate a room, use the loupe to select the character you want to help.

After talking to the character use the loupe to select the spot you want to take a closer look at.

If you select the wrong spot to investigate, you'll lost investigation points.

You can tell you select the right spot when the characters Say they discovered an important clue.

When the phase counter reaches 0 the investigation ends.

 

Impressions

During investigations, when you've already discovered the right clue and talk to the Milky Holmes girls again, you'll have 3 options pop up on screen.

The girl's impression of you will change depending on your choices, there is one choice that is the most correct one, a neutral one and a wrong one. 

The right choice gives you a sound and usually a CG

The neutral one doesn't give you any sound.

The wrong one gives you a different sound.

After you've talked to the girl she won't be available for you to go to anymore during that investigation.

 

Chasing game

When chasing your target you need to chose the right direction by following the stars (it's pretty easy.)

Picking the wrong direction will make you lose one try.

There are also QTE during the chasing.

You need to pick the right character to evade the traps.

They usually show the character you're meant to chose on screen so it's rather easy.

If you pick the wrong one you'll lose one try.

If your number of tries reaches 0 you lose the game.

 

 

 

Chapter Guideline

In this guide I'll only be giving you the correct answers to everything as that's the only way to move foward.

The game works with a score system that's based around how many clues/right answers you got.

When you get too many incorrects answers all that happens is a game over screen so I see no point in listing that.

There are no heroine routes in the game, however the last chapter has extra scenes based on the character you caused the best impression on.

You can chose all the right answers when impressing the girls as long as you pick the girl you want to end up with first during the PDA handout.

Chapter 6

Behind The Mask

 

This chapter changes based on which character you caused the best impression on during the previous chapters.

After you complete it once you can go to the story selection screen in the main menu and select the girl you want without having to go through the entire story again.

This chapter only has one QTE where you have to pick the right girl.
