First anime in my lifetime: Pokemon/Digimon/YuGiOh or something. One of those Saturday morning things

Same with me. Pokemon made me delve deeper into anime at a very young age. Because of it, anime became the first thing I had as a child that wasn't taken away once I liked it, which is why I enjoy it so much now.

First matured series I saw was Ghost in The Shell: Standalone Complex, when I was about 8. I still think the series is fantastic.

My first anime was Shakugan no Shana. I just one day decided that I would check it out after reading a comment on a nightcore video on youtube about how good it was.

At the first episode I was like: "What the hell is this shit" and had to force myself not to quit

At the second episode I was like: "Hmm, i guess this is okay"

After watching the third episode I was hooked.

For the next couple of weeks my life consisted of nothing but watching anime and sleeping. (Yes, nothing else. I completly shut out all my friends and barricaded myself in my room.)

The first anime I saw that I can remember fully is My Neighbor the Totoro; I was at a daycare during the summer and it was some time while I was in fourth or fifth grade. If we're going by kind of remember when I was over at my grandparents' house they had cable while my parents didn't so I'd watch whatever came up on Nickelodeon and I watched these and only just recently discovered they were anime:

Edit: This one too...

Forgot because I remember I thought this and Little Koala as being the same show

I wonder if there are any DVD collections for those...
