hiime Posted January 27, 2013 Share Posted January 27, 2013 Hello there, my name is hiime and I always wanted to join the forum but I'm very shy so just posting on the introduction page is a big thing for me to do ; u ;'' I play many games, visual novel or not. One of my favorites is Katawa Shoujo and it actually helped me get closer to a friend. I also like Hatoful Boyfriend and Dangan Ronpa even though I'm still reading it. Other than that, the rest are a bunch of horror games made in RPG Maker. I would love to play allot more visual novels and otome games but I'm scared of my family so I have to keep it to myself. I have friends who share the same interest but it's really bad to explain to your family on why you're playing ______ game. I'm hiding allot of stuff now that I think about it. ''orz Other than that, I would like to make at least one friend on here that I can share and talk about the stuff I like and understand each other. It's just that I don't know how to talk to people that I meet so it was something very difficult for me to decide but I ended up doing it o v o I saw a review about it on Youtube and it looked very interesting. I haven't played that many visual novels but it was one of the ones I wanted to start with. I have seen some I really want to play like Starry Sky for example. I also know about Utapri and from what I seen from the first episode since it has an anime, singing and cats that lead you to guys. My parents take me to cons and stuff but I really don't want them to think I'm awkward or anything since I may collect some figurines later on. I have a group of friends on skype that share allot of the same stuff I like and they've introduced me to allot of great games so now I have someone to talk about it with. Which Persona do you like more? I like the story in 3 and the game play of 4, so Persona 3 Portable is awesome. Also love the story of Persona 2, but that game is freaking hard. And in my case, before joining Fuwanovel I didn't have anyone to talk about VNs, although I just started playing them recently. If I like something, I enjoy it and do it whenever I like and don't hide it. And my life become 100% better xD I got even some merch, when I shown to my family what my future wives need to look like they were shocked but well, it is my life and I like what I like and nobody can tell me what to not like xD So my mobile wallpaper is a cute loli, I have cute loli mousepads and I play j-pop loud and proud when cooking or whatever xD Ofc I don't show H content to family because well... its like showing porn... but playing normal VNs or watching anime is no problem for me. I just tell them, they're cute. they don't meddle anymore with me listening to J-pop or about any anime merch i bought because of one reason. "It came from my earnings, I save my allowances and buy it" and they know im not fond of begging for money just to buy my hobby, we are not raised as a spoiled brat. that's why in our house, there is a rule. That said, there's a pervasive stereotype about Japanese animation here in the US (or at least where I live), and I know that both my family and my wife eye my love with some suspicion. Thankfully my wife is totally supportive of the habit, which makes it much easier, but I, too understand the loneliness of the hobby. How did you find Fuwanovel? It's really funny how your avatar reflects the part of you being shy and stuff ^^ And I also play VNs with my family watching (sometimes ^^), and when I do, I make sure to play VNs with an all ages rating.. For the rest, I play during graveyard hours, around 12 midnight to 4 AM.. I also find it really cool that you can make friends from VNs.. I hope I can find a friend tooo.. As you can see, we all share your interests here My family knows I love anime/manga/etc, after all it's the reason I studied Japanese and then moved to Japan XD I'm not embarrassed about it.. but I AM embarrassed in case they've seen any of my collection of eroge & doujinshi which are.. well, I don't think anyone would want their parents seeing that stuff ^^;; I live with my boyf now though so I can leave that stuff everywhere, to his annoyance! I never played Persona 2 but I've seen some people on Tumblr liveblog it so I know only a tiny bit. I like both 3 and 4, but 4 have to my favorite since it's the first persona game I bought and played.
