Probably after what happened to Mein they're not going to fool around with things anymore. Tatsumi is clearly still affected by what happened to her.

 

Although they felt a little bland in this chapter, but maybe it's just because I've lost touch with Akame ga Kill after all this time.

Maybe so. I do agree that they're simply steamrolling the enemies though. Doesn't make that much of an exciting chapter.

That guy with Kousetsu was supposed to be one of the main villains, and here he is, cut down by Akame in one chapter.

 

Though maybe it's just because Akame's OP.

 

I hope Alchemist vs. Leone is much more exciting.

Chapter 60's up.

 

Huh. Cosmina and Dorothea died too, huh. So that means only the Jaegers are remaining once again.

It'll be interesting to see how the final battles will play out. The remaining ones in the Jaegers are Kurome, Wave, Zombie Run, and Esdeath, right? Seeing how they've been repeatedly crushed by Esdeath, I can't imagine them winning this battle if they all fight at the same time. I wonder if Wave will also meet his demise. If that's so, too bad. I really like Kurome x Wave.

 

One more volume, right?

Yep, next volume will be the last one, so I'd say we have 5 or 6 more chapters ahead of us.

 

These latest 2 chapters were pretty meh, felt a bit rushed, especially since the characters they were fighting felt so.. unimportant, they were introduced very vaguely and then just killed off, I felt like they were just filler villains to be honest. Oh well.

 

I don't know if the manga will go down the same path the anime did but I am hopeful the remaining members will live.
