Fate/Stay Night Restarting (RESOLVED)

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I'm new to this site and relatively new to visual novels as well.

I recently started playing Fate/Stay Night.

When I downloaded it at first, it wouldn't even open so I had a friend compress the file and post it on google drive.

I downloaded it from there and it ran relatively smoothly.

However I start having a problem during the scene where Saber is first introduced and is about to kill Tohsaka.

Right after Tohsaka 'accepts her fate', my game restarts.

I've tried to skip the scene, but it just restarts the game once more and says 'skip cancelled' in the bottom bar.

I don't know if anyone will see this or know the solution, but I REALLY want to complete this game because it looks really fun to play.

If you have any advice whatsoever that would be helpful.

Also, I DO have my computer set to japanese locale.

its corrupted try to download from fuwanovel's link download....then install it again it will perfectly work fine

When I first tried downloading it, it was having errors and the game wouldn't even open. That's why I had a friend compress it for me. Are you sure it will work if I redownload it?

just try it man you wont lose anything.....well it will just take a little bit of your time

I tried redownloading, but the errors I had that before my friend compressed it have reappeared. A lot of the text is in Japanese so I don't understand what they're saying, so I guess I can just post pictures of them

Like I said, though, I'm new here. How do I post saved pictures from my computer?

Actually, screw what I just posted. I looked on another forum and the errors disappeared. Now I just have to play it through to see if it restarts again.

Can you explain more what do you mean by "restarting". If you see the main menu after that scene - this is how it is supposed to be.

Edit: unless I'm thinking about the wrong scene, when you see the image of Saber with a sword, after that should be 1st opening movie and then the main menu. Nothing more.

So I understand.

I'll probably feel stupid after all this is over, but is that the end of the game?

What do I do after the main menu? I'm confused.

Ahh ok.

When the movie played I thought it was just an intro to the game and that it had started over.

I feel REALLY stupid now.

Thanks for the help :)

I guess I can get back to my game now.

I'm not sure what confused you, but the first time you launch FSN - you're not supposed to have access to the menu. You read the prologue, watch the movie and only then see the menu for the 1st time. If it wasn't the same for you, your release does have some problems.

Also you shouldn't be able to see the prologue again if you saw it once, unless you go to the Extra menu and select it there.
