Need a malware-free MDF mounting software for Grisaia

My old laptop broke but I managed to recover the hdd, along with my grisaia save, folder, and mdf file. I put the save files in the correct place and tried running grisaia without installing it but I get the "please reinstall" message. The problem is, most of the popular image mounting software these days are bundled with malware, which you can't skip during installation.

Does anyone have a MDF mounting installer that is sure to not contain any malware? Or know of a way to get grisaia to work without installing?

Have you tried Deamon Tools?

That is one of the ones I was talking about. I'm sure it'll work but It'll be installing malware all over my computer and I'll have to spend time to get rid of it. PowerIso, which I used to use, also comes with malware. I tried copying it from my old laptop hdd but it said I had to install it for it to work.

The one I am using is called "WinCDEmu".  No problems with it so far,

(If I know I'm going to archive it, I just burn it to a disc and install from there.)

It looks like this one is safe, installed grisaia with no problems. Thanks!

What malware Oo

Edit: well, google seems to recommend Virtual Clone Drive. http://tehparadox.com/forum/f28/buying-new-pc-recommend-software-5925607/#post11760467

Personally I use an old installation of DT and seem to have avoided any malware. Certainly interesting.

Yeah I searched about that a while ago and have found this: http://download.cnet.com/Virtual-CloneDrive/3000-20432_4-173879.html

In the review someone said it's got conduit webpage hijacker, which is one malware I've run into a lot and want to avoid. Also you might want to make sure not to update DT cause apparently that also brings malware. http://forum.daemon-tools.cc/f33/malware-updating-34745/

I am using DT lite http://www.disk-tools.com/download/daemon

No malware there, at max it has some browser toolbar in installer so be careful when installing and uncheck all that crap and only install the software itself (advanced installation or something).

Sadly it is like that these days with many programs that you always need to go to advanced settings and uncheck all that to avoid it, even when installing updates (they will have advanced settings as well).

(hell even stuff like Java update tries to install crap like that)

However most of the times the malware will come from the "great download sites" that have all the software such as cnet, never download there. It is always recommended to download either from official website or verified sites for freeware like sourceforge.

I've been using DT for like 8 years (before lite came out I used a pirated pro version) and I never had a single problem with it.
