Tom Posted February 1, 2014 Share Posted February 1, 2014 Rance 3 (Fall of Leazas) Alice Soft | 1991 | RPG / 18+ Summary Leazas has fallen due to an attack from Helman, and Lia has been captured! Kanami finds Rance and asks him to help. Dark Lords were most likely involved in the attack and Rance needs to find and regain the holy sword and armor in order to gain the legendary Chaos, the only thing known to be able to damage dark lords, in order to free Leazas from Helman rule. Route Guideline **NOTES** Spoiler Always have a full stock of Seirogan 3 and Ryuukakusan (you might not be able to buy it at any time) Do not level Rance until the Hyperbuilding chapter because the lower the level of Rance is the more exp you party members will get (level must be increased manually) The battles are most of the time very easy aslong you summon Fellis to battle. Chapter 1 - Lis Cave Spoiler 1. On the first floor go down the left path in order to get the Rarerare stone. Then go down the stairs on the right side. 2. On floor two go to the right and get the two treasure chests before going down the stairs on the left side. Stick to the left, once the scene ends you’ll end up back in Ice. 3. Visit the Hospital in order to get the key for Lis’ Cave. 4. Return to Lis’ Cave (you have to go to the mines first) and when you get to the third floor go right instead of left. 5. Go north and you’ll encounter Lis. He should be easy to beat. 6. Once he is defeated go north to meet Rola. 7. After the scene ends you end up back in Ice, Go to the Keith’s Guild and talk to Keith for the reward. 8. Go to the weapon shop guy and talk to him. 9. After the scene go to your house and after that the next place to go is Kanra. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 2 - Devils´ Cave Spoiler 1. Go to the Pub and ask the Bartender about Rola and War until Rose appears. 2. Go to Devils´ Cave. 3. After the scene go back to Kanra and call for Rose. 4. Go back to Devils´s Cave and enter after the scene. 5. Go right and talk to Ballcat.6. Step on the plate in the next room and go back to Ballcat.7. Enter the portal. 8. When talking to a Return daemon, picking the first choice will let you through, but you can only get through two Return daemons at a time. Trying toget through a third Return daemon will send you back to the warp point. To advance you must go to the stairs marked in yellow in this map. Pass the demon in the left (west), take the second south corridor, don´t talk to this demon and go east then south and east again. take this corridor to north and east. talk to your second demon and you are there. Spoiler The egg in the treasure chest allows you to get through the neverending stairs in the previous floor. You should get the egg first, go back and get the treasures, then come back for a rare rare stone.Theres a common bug isue for these pots that auto takes the don´t look inside option, to by pass this you must go to the spot betwen them and left click the pot,then right click it, keep pressing right and left without moving untill you find a monster,beat it and right click the pot. Somehow it works. The rarerare is in the LEFT POT,theres nothing in the other ones. 9. Re-enter the portal and go to other the path marked on the map. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 3 - Liberation of L-Zile Spoiler 1. Talk to the guard who asks you for the password 2. Examine the the room with 9 bookshelves and go to the small room next to it. 3. 3 guards will appear. Do XXX tot he maid after the 2nd guard. The 3rd one will tell you the password. 4. After the scene talk to Maria, search the desk, then go to the underground cavern. There you will find Nurse. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 4 - Rekka Mines Spoiler 1. Go to the Pub to find Lora. 2. Go to Red. 3. Go to Kanra and enter the Pub. Ask the Bartender about war. 4. Go to L-Zile and enter the Factory. 5. Go to Rekka Mines. *Note: There's nothing on the first floor of the Mine except for some people you can talk to. 6. In the top left part of the map there is a mine cart. Get in it and ride across to meet up with Milli. 7. Once the dialog ends you will be able to fight Chasobas. Chasobas are worth decent EXP and have a lot of HP. They have a chance of dropping a chest containing an item called a Mirror Fragment. If you kill all the Chasobas and they don't drop enough Mirror Fragments, just save and they'll respawn. After getting four Fragments, a picture will unlock (this is optional however). There's no Gal Monsters here, but there is a rarerare stone in one of the eggs near Chasoba Queen. 8. Once you leave the Mine, head to L-Zile and go to the Factory. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 5 - Liberation of Red Spoiler 1. Your goal is to destroy all the enemy units. The helman unit behind the trench does not need to be killed. *Note: There's a church in the top right of the map that will heal your party for free. The Leazas soldiers on the bottom of the map will tell you how many enemy units are left on the map. 2. Once all the enemy units are dead, talk to the Leazas soldiers. They will tell you the church is under attack. 3. Head to the Church and you'll engage in a battle with Helman soldiers. Once they are killed you'll end up inside the the Red Fortress. 4. Next up are 4 consecutive fights. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 6 - Forest of the Lost Spoiler 1. Go to Forest of the Lost. 2. Start exploring from the left side. After two events, enemy starts attacking. Third event (which is on the right side) teleports you to area 2. 3. Green = area 2; Yellow = area 3; Blue = area 4. Bright blue tiles are starting locations for the zone. Red tiles teleport the player back to area 1. Bright green tiles are the destination for the respective zone. Purple tiles are secret passages that you can walk right through. 4. Follow the map in order to end up in the Rapu village. Once you see the unicorn you'll need to go back to Red and ask Sel to join you. 5. Once Sel joins your party go back to the forest and Sel will teleport you back to the Village. Go get the nectar from the unicorn and give it to Leila (Red HQ). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 7 - Hyperbuilding Spoiler 1. Go to the inn in Red. 2. After the scene go to Hyperbuilding. 3. After obtaining the Rarerare stones on the 4th and 20th floor get into any Elevator and it will take you to the 52nd floor. 4. Meet Lis on floor 55 in his human form you'll end up back in red and you will regain the Holy Sword and Armor. 5. Go back to the building and enter 55th floor. Find the new elevator (floor 55) and go to floors 119 and 120 and defeat all the bugs there. You might want to bump Rance to level 20 here, to do so go into your Camp and call Willis. 6. You can now go to Floor 200 with the elevator. Floor 199 contains 3 chests. Go to floor 201. 7. Set up the Barrier After the scene you are going to be set back to Red. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 8 - The O Spoiler 1. Enter Inn. 2. Win all consecutive fights. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 9 - Oc Spoiler 1. Go to Oc *Sidequests Spoiler Haniwa Temple 1. Note, you might want to progress with storyline until you obtain Shizuka before entering the temple. 2. Once you buy the [ball of Destruction] the shopkeeper will give you [source of the Fountain Goddess]. 3. With the [source of the Fountain Goddess] in hand go to Teti Lake and you'll get the option of using it. Do so and select the option to visit the Haniwa Temple. Please note, that if you leave the temple, either via exit or by means of [Wood of Return] you will not be able to enter it again, unless you have obtained another [source of the Fountain Goddess]. 4. Once inside you'll find multiple Haniwa Statues. Click on any of them except for the Super Hanny and then enter the portal. You'll fight Hannies of the color you clicked. Upon defeating them you'll unlock access to a chest to the north containing a harmonica relating to the color of Hanny killed. Do this with all the Hanny Statues Except for the Super Hanny. 5. With all the Harmonicas in hand use the Super Hanny statue and enter the portal. 6. Walk down the hallway you arrive in until you end up in a large room and go to the right. 7. Click on the Super Hanny and it will move enough to let you through. *NOTE: At this point it is recommended to lower your move speed* Enter the hall and be very careful not to accidentally move onto the arrows. Most of the one way passages lead you to a room of Evil Hannies with no way out. The last passage however leads you to a room with a [Wood of Return], second [source of the Fountain Goddess] and some treasure. At the end of the main hallway you'll hit an invisible wall with a slot next to it. You need to have the harmonicas from before in order to pass through them. 8. Once you pass through all the walls you get the believer card. The card allows you to do two things: Exit the temple and H the Item store girl at Ice. Go back the way you came and go to the right side of the large room where you'll find a Super Hanny who won't let you pass without the card. This way will lead you to a fight with the Hanny King. He has 65535 HP and he drains 5 levels at a time. Beating him in a straight up fight requires a ridiculously high level and only rewards you with 10,000 gold (or at least the author of this edit was unable to find any additional effects). H the Serving girl at Kanra 1. Once you have captured North go to Alicesoft and agree to help the graphic designer with a CG to recieve [Graphicer Medal]. 2. Go to Kanra and talk to the Serving girl for an HCG. 2. Go (attack) North. 3. Then go (attack) South. 4. Go to Oc HQ and Deploy 5. Rest in the Inn by yourself. *Note: This is the point of no return. After next step final showdown will begin and you won't be able to return to world map. 6. Go to North and walk the path between OC and ___ until a Golden Hanny appears. Defeat it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 10 - Showdown Spoiler 1. You have arrived in Leazas Castle. 2. Once inside the castle and Lia and Maris have been rescued defeat the guards and check the desk next to them for a [Portable MVR]. 3. Advance until you find Chaos. 4. Once you find chaos your next objective is to find Sel (upper left side). 5. After you find her she'll give you medicine to give to Milli who's in the Western Tower. 6. After giving Milli the medicine go to Sel who will join your party and then go to where Chaos is. Click on the coffin to get Devil's Passport to have Feriss on the battlefield without summoning it. 7. Talk to Barres at the Central Tower and Defeat Toma. 8. Defeat the Big Monster once. 9. Sleep with Kanami in the Inn and you get Lia's CG. 10. Click on the laval-looking like floor (there is a door beneath the Inn). 11. Go into Eastern Tower and find the antidote on the 2nd floor and come back. 12.On 3rd floor, Help Barres deactivated trap. 13. Solve 4 very random Quizes. 14. Press the button on that floor and investigate the 5th floor. Then talk to Milli and Shizuka. 15. Go to the Western Tower top floor and defeat the boss. 16. Pull the lever after the fight. 17. Go to the Eastern Tower to deactivated trap. 18. You'll find Rick prepared weapon with Leira but need an item from Milli. 19. Give Hirara Alloy DA to Maria (top right corner of map) & go back to Rick. 20. Defeat a boss on the floor after Caesar and pull the lever. 21. Climb back up to floor six of the castle. 22. Defeat the clones of your party that Noce summons. Mass AOE from your casters will easily wipe them out. 23. Defeat the guardian creatures that block the hallway. Note that these do not respawn, so you can visit the inn to heal as needed. Save after you defeated them. 24. After a very long scripted sequence, you need to defeat Noce. This fight is very hard since he has alot of HP. Most party members will do pitifully low damage, and are basically only good as meatshields (most of them will also get OHKO'd by Noce if targeted). In fact, the only worthwhile party members in this fight are your healers. Expect to restart multiple times (meaning you'll need to rewatch that scripted sequence again). Suggested level 40. Save once you defeated him. 25. Heal up and fight Gele. Only Rance is usable in this section. She seems to teleport every four steps, so don't chase her if she's too far away, as you'll only waste time (and health). Just stay near the center and hope for the best. 26.
