Since @Robert Kis an extremely busy man, I'll announce it for him. Just this night, Shiravune released their newest title Alpha-Nighthawk in the Steam & Johren-Store. The game on Steam is an all-ages version that needs to be patched with a Johren-Patch, so it becomes complete

The game is also translated by Lemnisca'a John Hooper, other members haven't spoken up yet.

Alpha Nighthawk is a Science Fiction setting game by Dentou Nanahoshi, one of Liarsofts newer writers. In Japan the game already has a sequel with Beta-Sixdouze. Both games feature human as well as antropomorphic characters, some call them furrys. The game calls them Neofennecs.

Let's get to the story:

Quote

Bathed in the light of the moon, a giant rose blooms in full glory. It hangs darkly in the night sky, suspended in space some 380,000 km from Earth. With its true name and nature unknowable, we humans have taken to calling it “Consuelo.”

In Bayshore Daiba City, life goes on in the Red Zone—a lawless slum sealed off and forsaken since a Thorn impacted the Earth’s surface from space, devastating Tokyo and infesting ground zero with monsters. It is here that STX Space Force pilot Miriya Hakone first encounters one Ichizo Yodaka, a former elite pilot now fighting Consuelo alone from aboard his trusty Battle-SHEEP…

A new boy-meets-girl sci-fi adventure series is about to begin!

What is that supposed to mean. With Shiravune's connections, they can publish almost anything.

If possible you better not answer him, because that guy has been made a lot of ruckus on Discord, Twitter, and Reddit just because he didn't like mosaic in his porn on top of being too horny for his own good. Oh by the way Aniplex did localize Adabana in that it's Liar-soft VN, so there's nothing strange that Liar-soft asking some other publishers to localize their own VN in case someone want to keep whining for not having Mangagamer localized this.

That aside, while I hope that it can be longer VN seeing that the arts are quite good (I admit that I like Miriya's character design here), it's just too bad that it's quite short and that it'll be one of the underrated VN, so hopefully anyone else who tried Alpha Nighthawk here would enjoy it later. Oh yes I forgot to mention that Liar-soft here did try to write it like Gahkthun with both male and female MCs, although this time they go with fictional name instead of using real-life name like back in Gahkthun.

Lastly, let me say belated congratulation to Shiravune in regard of Alpha Nighthawk release here, and hopefully their future release can be more interesting (Although Alpha Nighthawk release here is quite interesting compared to most of the recent Shiravune's releases).

PS - I don't know if Shiravune is already licensed the sequel (Beta Sixdouze) or not, but I'll look forward to see if Shiravune localize the sequel as well later. And if possible another Liar-soft VN like Ever Maiden.

Personally speaking I do not really like Shiravune as they ignore and look down on GOG, in addition to them only releasing their Visual Novel/Eroges/Games on Steam.

Beside there’s something fishy about this Shiravune company, of all the VN localizers out there mainly JAST USA, Mangagamer, Sekai Project and NekoNyan, wherein some of their Visual Novels/Eroges gets banned or delisted from Steam for Gods only knows why?

I never once heard any news about Shiravune games being banned or delisted from Steam, perhaps both Shiravune and Steam has some sort dealings behind the scenes or whatnot.

Because they are trying to promote their parent company's own store (Johren). At the same time Steam is way too big and potentially profitable to ignore so it's more of a "necessary evil" for a company like that.

In this regard you are just a bit misinformed, there was a sizable commotion when Shiravune's Meteor World Actor was banned on Steam and they are too censoring their games to hell and back (and offer restoration patches) to try and release on Steam. The same as anyone else in the industry.

I'd say, in retrospect nekonyan are the luckiest (or most efficient?) in their Steam parleys. I think all their games ended up releasing on Steam even if some later than others?

Clover Day's Plus has been rejected on Steam once again. Maybe they'll release it on other stores such as JAST USA, Mangagamer or GOG.

NekoNyan is a pretty decent company and most of their localized VN titles are top notch, in addition they even made their games available in GOG as well which is nice. They're good enough for me.

Well, yeah, I was actually praising them, just not in a such "fixated-on-gog" way.

Well I only buy games on GOG so it obvious that I'm Very "fixated-on-gog"  Nothing wrong with that. At least I own every game that I buy, unlike Steam wherein I'm paying full price and only renting the game and there's a 50-50 chance the games you bought might be taken away from you if a certain game got delisted or violated some Steam policy.

Steam is garbage and most people only buy games there since its mainstream and convenient, however its only going to harm the Visual Novel/Eroge Industry and its localization efforts in the long run due to forcing censorship on their titles/games and we don't like half ass VN releases right?

Just go and settle along with your overlords Steam and Johren you DRM loyalist.

I have nothing more to say to the likes of you, hope you enjoy playing all those Shiravune VNs over and over again (snicker)

I'd say it's a 100% certainty that the games will be taken away from you in a hundred years even in the most positive outcome so we all better stock up on gog while we still have the chance!

Though tbh, if you are so inspiringly set on helping the vn localisation industry, you really should only buy your games on their own stores which literally every major vn localisation company has. Don't settle on gog just because it's more mainstream and convenient.

Okay I know that you have the reason to dislike Steam with their actions are certainly won't help matter the slightest, but just because Steam did bad doesn't mean that you should try to dismiss the other people opinion by accusing the people who tried to say his opinion as DRM loyalist (Other than that it's quite rude to say it). Honestly speaking I'm not the one who should said this, but I figure I should say it anyway. Also in case you want to accuse me the same just because I tried to speak my own opinion here, I should say that I never buy anything from Steam (I'm mostly just use it as a window shopping place).

Since you mentioned that all games from Shiravune are never banned from Steam, I should mention that not all of the games from Shiravune are available on Steam, particularly Marmalade VNs and Ryuusei World Actor (The FD of it is ended on Steam for some reasons). I can understand if you didn't like Shiravune though, because they didn't even try to accept the offer from both JAST to sell their games in their own store on top of not selling their games on GOG. The reason for the happening is simply because JAST demanded Shiravune to remove the mosaic, and obviously Shiravune refused to do so (Or so that's what I'd hear somewhere). As for Nekonyan, while almost all of their games are ended on Steam, some of those didn't go there smoothly though (Such as HGB that need several months to be accepted on Steam or Clover Days that didn't accepted on Steam).

Back to topic, and from what I see Alpha Nighthawk here is quite short so understandably people didn't interested much with it. Speaking of Sona-Nyl, yeah it's too bad that it's still in integrating hell in which I imagined that it might be because the lack of programmer (Which may explain on why the progress is very slow in Mangagamer's recent update).

GoG is quite good, but the Muramasa patch they have doesn't work, so we really need @Seryuuto report this, so that can be fixed. It has been months!

Agreed... A lot of people in the GOG Forums are getting infuriated regarding the whole ordeal. Why not just release a uncensored one identical to the version found on JAST USA Storefront?

They've released Dead End Aegis on GOG uncensored straight out of the box without any need to apply +18 Patches or DLC. Why not do the same?

In addition to that, the GOG version of Kurokami-sama's Feast still uses the old v1.0.1 version instead of the newer v1.0.2 that the Steam version has which includes so many quality of life features such as adding a CG Gallery and Ending List. Why do they even bother prioritizing the Steam Version in contrast to the GOG Version anyways? Is JAST USA best buddies again with Steam despite the rejection of Muramasa to the Steam Store...

Please also inform @Seryuu about that too aside from the Muramasa patch issue.

It's what you called freedom of speech and thank the Gods for that!

If you deem my actions unjust or inappropriate to some degree, the real question is. What are you going to do about it?

In any case what's right and what's wrong is matter of perceptive, humans themselves can rationalizes almost anything and everything.

by that statement alone I therefore concluded that people who buys games and uses Steam or its equivalent are considered DRM loyalists and its their very fault why Steam treats the Visual Novel Industry and developers in general with such disdain since these so called DRM loyalists, unconsciously or consciously granting this monstrosity called Steam the power, by giving away your wallets to this DRM Overlord, making it relevant to the world.

Most likely because gog didn't allow it for some weird reason, they have their own convoluted review process.

It's called a tantrum. Where did all that animosity even come from, gosh, it's not like I was fanboying about steam or anything.

My mistake there. I did type FD because I got myself mixed it with Akagoei FD, which to say it's easy to do so because Kinugasa did write both trilogy in a very similar way (And Frontwing decided to copy Kinugasa's way to write their Grisaia (So-called) trilogy). Anyway while I may mistaken by writing it as the FD instead of sequel in regard of Ryuusei 2, the fact is remain the same that Ryuusei 2 here can somehow ended up on Steam with the prequel is not as lucky here because it got banned on Steam three times (If I remember it right).

Honestly speaking there's a lot to nitpick here, but I figure that it's more hassle than it's worth for, so I won't do anything about it even with you bring justice and stuffs. Anyway feel free to keep rationalizing (Or whatever fancy term that you came up with) your own opinion there, @Templarseeker.

The feeling is mutual, you’re not worth the trouble anyways, and if you think my words are fancy, you must really have a boring imagination and choice of words. It’s just a simple skill called using a dictionary and the power of simplicity. I do not use flowery words to make a point. The word rationalize just came easily straight out of my head and just right stuff that I feel like writing. Try doing it yourself. It’s kinda fun too!

Also, its somehow unfair to have two people gangbanging on me since I somehow triggered their emotional mine field, why don’t you two novurdim and littleshogun go find a room and make some BL lovemaking action while your at it, I believe you two are made for each other you DRM loyalists.

DRM-FREE is the future!

What a bothersome post from someone who got his emotional mine field triggered just because he didn't want other people has different opinion from him, and by the way I didn't care for either GOG or DRM here. Anyway let's just agree to disagree because it's pretty clear that you didn't want to listen to reasons.

As for the topic, well still no much people playing this yet so I have no much to say here.
