As for the answer of your question, well you can just directly play it in case you still didn't do that yet because there'll be a recap of the first game event in Blue Reflection 2. As for me, I did try it a bit only to find out that my laptop can't handle this smoothly, and I can say that the battle system along with the levelling system between this and the first game here are very different.
