Rereading or skip to the route

So I recently got back into reading VN bc life is hard and this bring me happiness lol <not relevant>. I wonder should I read the common route then to the route I want or just skip to the route. O-O playing riddle joker and I am 3/5 rout completed. Notice that the route seem short comparing to the first time I did it? Am I rushing or is it normal?

There is only one answer to this that checks all the right boxes, which happens to be my own superior strategy: play a route, then don't play the game for several years (or however long it takes to remove the common route from your memory), then pick it up again and play it from the beginning.

ah true i could just put in all for correct choices for each girl then make a save file. i probly do that for the next vn i play i guess but dont some route open depend on what character u finnish thou?

That is not the approach that I just advocated for, but I'm glad that I somehow led you to reach such a reasonable conclusion.

Lol idk I just want to play by the best route order. I don’t want the other route spoiling by the main route

I don't read anymore 😕

but what I do is to first see if there is a recommended route order and stick to it. If there isn't, I just go to my favorite one first. Never read the common route twice, only the new scenes/variations - pretty much any recent VN has the option to skip only read text.
