FORIS-OS

Recommended Posts

Been digging around in 0verflow's games and noticed that all of the pack files are actually exes and claim that you have to run them in "FORIS-OS". Anyone know what's going on there? Saw on a Chinese site that FORIS is their VN engine but why put your data inside of an exe?

Been looking for the same. GARbro is able to extract xml text scripts from .cmd files (Summer Radish Vacation) and obj scripts from .dat files (Snow Radish Vacation). You can edit them, but I'm still searching for a FORIS Engine compatible tool  to repack it to the original file.

Oh man, had no idea about this program. Luckily it's open source and I can use DNspy to step thru the program. Took that and after a week of banging my head against the wall I have made an extractor and repacker for the FORIS games (Imouto de Ikou!, Miss Each Other, Summer 2, and Lost M). Need to polish it up a little bit before the program is ready to be released. Interestingly most of the CMP files seem to be useless data, the executable sits on top of the data and doesn't seem to be needed for anything. Currently the repacker doesn't transfer that data over. Here's an image for proof.

I've really wanted to play radish and don't know much Japanese, so was planning on just using deepl. Going to translate as I go so expect a bad mtl copy of summer radish in a year or so.
