Fujoneko
Heya! Sooo I don't really post that often so I'll just get to the point. I've started a vn book club on discord and we are currently reading Kara no Shoujo but... what next? I think that the best ones for book clubs would be the kinetic vns but what do you recommend? It doesn't have to be a kinetic VN, just something you think would fit in a book club
Clephas
Treating G-Senjou no Maou like a kinetic novel wouldn't be a bad idea.

Hahah I mean, I'm one of those people that like to do all routes even if they aren't that good (in any case, I rly liked them); (un)fortunately, I've already read G-Senjou as well as my peers! Thanks anyways, it's a fantastic vn!
mitchhamilton
thinking of something thatll create a discussion among the group and the firs thing that comes to mind is Grisaia no Kajitsu that or that one vn. someone help me out cause i cant remember the name. heavy setting in a sunflower field. takes place in japan with those strict rules like no touching someone of the opposite sex. its where this girl is from this one you can treat a bit like a kinetic novel as its like a straight path to the end while the routes sort of divert off of that path, if that makes sense? theres one true end and the rest is sort of little snacks to that. Sharin no Kuni. It's similar to Grisaia in a way. Edited March 24, 2020 by wei123 Fujoneko and mitchhamilton 1

Silvz
Or you could read Umineko, as it would provide topic for discussion for months.

URV
The House in Fata Morgana is a recent favourite of mine, and I think it can offer a lot of content to talk about. There are choices, but it doesn't split into routes like most VNs do, being closer to a kinetic novel. MaggieROBOT
thomaswalsh
Hey! Maybe someone also knows, if there is a book, on which VN was based? Or all novels are unique? Fujoneko

Or all novels are unique? To be honest, I'm not sure because I started reading them not a long time ago. But I think it can be based on some events. I play one on my phone, and it's based on historical (real-life and fictional ) events ( witches, trials, alchemy, etc.) But I don't know why, but I still prefer reading books to visual novels. Maybe, I just need to find a good one, but I don't have enough time now because of my studies. I have plenty of things to do, read, and write. But the task I have now I like, because it's writing about withes, the Salem trial, and it's fascinating for me. I've already managed to find and visit one site which provided me with very interesting and useful Salem witch trial essay examples, which helped me a lot with writing. Besides, it was so interesting for me to read them and other info I found. So if there will be such a VN about something like that, I'd love to read it.
