Our next monthly update brings with it an extended and slightly edited script for the Reversal ending that was released last time, complete with a beautiful CG to close it out. And with that I'm finally happy to call it done with Reversal for now. There's another path to come, which I think folks will be excited for, but I'm eager to shift my focus elsewhere as there's still so much else to do.

Soooo, so much else ^^; Things like Hiroko's Gullible (formerly Trickster) storyline, which is another script I abandoned halfway due to a lack of inspiration. I've picked it up again and made some good progress with it here, with some more script written and a solid outline made up for a good chunk of the remaining scenes. If you want check out the new writing and you've forgotten how to get on this path (understandable), start Hiroko's route then select "convince her she's ticklish", followed by "Don't help her" and then "Take advantage of the situation".

This November's release sees the completion of one full path for Hiroko's Gullible storyline! It mostly came together pretty well and I'm happy with what I got done over the past month so I hope you all enjoy it! As before, to access this latest story path, start Hiroko's route then select "convince her she's ticklish", followed by "Don't help her", "Find out how gullible she really is" and then "Keep going" when prompted.

Hi, everyone!

Since the last update I've been feeling out how one of the unwritten decision points on Sayori's Alter storyline is supposed to go. It's been tough but necessary, I think, to plot out how this choice will play out given what happens when you don't pick this choice (which until this point you had to, because there was no other choice available short of quitting the game ^^;).

The result is a little new script for a few scenes and some tentative outlining that leads us to an intriguing cliffhanger that I'll have to puzzle out the ending to later. To see the new writing, start Sayori's storylines, choose the alternate personality route and keep Sayori in her altered state until an option to change her back appears while she's in class.

There's also been a little sprite work done, which for now mostly only shows up in the latter parts of Hiroko's Gullible storyline and some of Sayori's Alter route. The new art, which includes some new facial expressions for Kyou, Hiroko and Nozomi, will begin to show up in other routes going forward.

And finally there is, of course, some brand new art to show off~ We have a couple new CGs for the later parts of Hiroko's Gullible storyline, and as a bonus I added a neat little CG to the Redemption story which serves as a good introduction to its star character. Do check it out~

Hello, everyone! Hope we're having a good year so far~

This month's public release brings a little more written content for the new path in Sayori's Alter storyline. It's not much, but it moves the story forward a bit.

Elsewhere we have a new CG of Nozomi that can be seen in her Trance storyline (her first one) and depicts an infamous scene that should've been illustrated ages ago! There's also a new CG for Sayori albeit not in her new route. It can be found during her Doll storyline on the eighth day.

In addition, I got my artist to fix a number of inconsistencies with several old pieces of art where the shading was wrong because I was using them in scenes they weren't originally intended. We also fixed one of the newer CGs in Hiroko's Gullible storyline where the characters were showing in the opposite places from where they were intended. And finally, I've also added some new sprite expressions for Kyou, Nozomi and Hiroko in some routes, and tidied up some dialogue here and there. So, plenty of little improvements to the game's overall quality that would've needed doing sooner or later.

The February release of Penlight sees some significant progress made with Sayori's ongoing story path, which if you haven't been following along is a branch of her "Alter" storyline. Its most recently-written scene has had a bit of a rewrite since last time, in addition to one all-new scene and some more outlining has been done for the following scenes which brings us pretty close to a resolution!

Besides that we have three new CGs for the game's bulging art gallery. They include one to complete a very long sequence of images for the most memorable scene of Hiroko's Gullible story path, and there's one for Penlight's first ever storyline, Delusion, which also comes with a significant rewrite of the scene it appears in.

Hello, all!

The new Sayori Alter storyline path continues its slow crawl to completion in this update, with one new scene fully scripted out. Progress has been a lot slower than I can be happy with, and I've since taken a little break from writing this particular story path, but I hope I can come back and finish it off sooner than later.

We also have the first CG made for this storyline, and there's one added for an old story, Nozomi's Trance route, that marks the start of a fun scene that occurs during the weekend in that particular story path.

Hello, everyone!

This month's update brings with it a number of new scenes spread across three of Penlight's old unfinished story paths. The highlight this month comes from the fact there's now a new ending written for the Villainous Devotion storyline! To see it, play along the Devotion storyline as usual and towards the end the option for Kyou to declare he still wants Nozomi to be his girlfriend will now be playable to a conclusion. I hope you all enjoy how it plays out~

The other main addition is on Sayori's original Alter path. There's a whole new scene written for when Kyou makes an obviously questionable decision, and is something I know a lot of people wanted to see. It can be found by taking the following choices on Sayori's route: Making you think you're someone else -> Switch her back -> Don't use it ->Apologize -> Hypnotize her again.

Hey, everyone!

This month saw me pick up Sayori's most recent Alter story path again after having left it hanging earlier in the year. I'd been meaning to get back to it for some time now, and while I couldn't get much dialogue written I did manage to sketch out a tentative outline for the path all the way through to the end! Finishing the thing properly is going to be one of my goals for next month.

I also struggled on with one of the branch paths for Nozomi's Zombie Storyline, following some reader feedback I got last time (Hint: It's the one involving a whisper). There isn't much that's new, but I did at least work out the bulk of the next scene which sets us up for some more penlight-related shenanigans in the story to follow.

On the art side of things, two new CGs have been added.  One for Hiroko's Gullible story path and one for Nozomi's previously-completed path on her Zombie storyline.

I was able to turn a lot of that rough dialogue and outline from before into some proper script and, following some of the feedback I got, reworked some of the earlier scenes too to keep the story somewhat more consistent. We also have two new CGs for this path, with one appearing in one of its earliest scenes and one in the most recently-written. See what you think!

Hi, everyone!

During these past weeks I've been working on a second path for Nozomi's Reversal storyline, which I'm sure will be of interest to a lot of you. I had to rush it terribly to get it written in time, but there's a conclusion of sorts so I'm excited for people to check it out!

To see the new writing, start Nozomi's route and when she asks, let her direct things for a while and tell her you loved it. Then during the "turning the tables" roleplay, make sure to ask Nozomi to do a striptease for a slightly altered set of events that ultimately lead to... well, you'll see. I'm being a little vague out of consideration for spoilers, but if you need more help finding the new content please check the flowchart guide linked below and look for the parts marked in green.

For this update I fancied taking a crack at another one of the unethical story paths yet to be written... I'm not sure I even *have* any ethical paths left to write at this point?!

In this one, taking place about midway through Nozomi's Trance storyline, Kyou compells Nozomi to stay with him for pretty much the entire weekend instead of fulfilling her prior obligations. It's about 40-50% complete, including one CG, and there's a rough outline written for the rest of the path. Go see!

And in keeping with the Nozomi focus, I've also added a new CG to her original Trance storyline. This one shows up in the final third if you want to find and check it off your gallery list!

Hi, everyone!

This update sees the new Nozomi Trance story path written up to a  conclusion! To find the new path, begin the game on Nozomi's route, give her a reinduction trigger and on the weekend convince her to stay. For a more specific rundown of the choices needed, please check the guide attached to my Patreon article about this release where the new part is marked in green.

There are a couple of caveats when playing this story, though. For  one thing, while it's fully playable and enjoyable regardless of your  prior choices, the much more complete version of the climactic scene can only be witnessed if one has chosen to tickle Nozomi earlier in the  story before it branches into this one. The new CG art is in this  version of the story and is looking rather glorious if I do say so myself ^^;

Selecting the choice that isn't tickling will still give a story  that's playable to the end, only the climactic scene contains placeholder art assets and an unfinished script that will be completed  for next month.

I wasn't able to do all that much over the past month but there's still something to show in this update, which expands on one of the previously inaccessible choices in Sayori's Alter storyline.

Now, when Kyou maintains Sayori's altered state through an entire day he'll be able to take one last chance to switch her back to normal before things get truly out of control. Will it be enough to save him from Sayori's ire? Or is he already too late?

To find out what I'm talking about, start Hiroko's route and select the "ticklish" suggestion, then choose to help her before you reach the point where Kyou has to decide whether or not to go through with his plan. The new path is the one where he chooses to do so.

We also have a new CG to go with the new content, and it appears during the fateful scene described above. A variant of it can also be seen early on in the Villainous Sleeper Agent storyline if you're curious about the other blank space in the CG gallery this month~
