Business wise it's a wise decision seeing that Steam will reject any VN with 18+ contents, and we'll saw enough of that to make the conclusion. That said, the reason on why people mad at Pulltop would likely that they didn't provided uncensor patch for anyone else who like to read the sex scenes, and I can say that it's ironic that Pulltop did indirectly inspire other publisher to release uncensor patch for every VN that enter the Steam while Pulltop themselves still won't release the uncensor patch.

Does anyone have any resources that would help in learning how to make at the very least a cg restoration patch like was done for the first game?
I found a extract / repack tool that looks like the same engine as the second game, do I just need to get a copy of the full jp version and repack the assets from that one into the english / steam version?

https://xmoeproject.github.io/KrkrExtract/

KrkrExtract, psbfile, and Paint.DN Freemote Plugin and a lot of patient + one temporally private tool to do the whale engine script conversion, anything else is done manually.

I love your work guys, I really do. But why only the Steam Version? It looks so half-assed, it legit is a port from a PS4 game put on a PC, it has insane lag spikes, serious instability problems, etc.
The JP laucher version, is miles better from it, not even comparable honestly.

Isn't there a way to port the English version to the JP one? Or at least some way to use the "Real" Launcher instead of that abomination

From what I understand the JP version is using a completely different engine then what the Steam version is using and that makes it that much harder to work with from what I understand from this thread, meaning they can't just take the unaltered JP content and put it in the Steam version as the difference in engines makes that rather difficult.

The Steam version is actually a port of the Switch version not PS4 (read the first post for this under Project Introduction) and I bought it on Steam and I can't say I ever encountered any lag or such issues as you're claiming it has and I read it to completion.

Console version of games being ported to PC is nothing new and that doesn't make it half-assed as you claim.

" I can't say I ever encountered any lag or such issues as you're claiming it has and I read it to completion." You clearly haven't played the JP version.
First is the startup menu, when every .jpg of the girls is coming together, it is laggy.
Second is when Sachi has her robots behind her, every time it starts her dialogue it lags for a second, and more instances of it happening when there is a magical circles and so on.

You don't have good base of comparison, hence why maybe it doesn't look laggy.
I don't know if they even updated the Steam version( mine is on 1.00) I know for sure that the JP version has to 1.08

"Console version of games being ported to PC is nothing new and that doesn't make it half-assed as you claim."

Sure it isn't anything new, the problem is always the optimization and in this instance is bad, but that also isn't anything new lol

The points we considered when selecting the steam version
- Contributing to the global VN market.
- The English version, which uses kirikiri, supports Unicode and therefore is more suitable for translations into any language, unlike WhaleEngine (From the Japanese version) which uses SJIS and supports only Japanese / English characters.
- The English version is already in English (obviously), so instead of translating the entire Japanese game, it seemed more practical to just import the h-scenes and translate them.
- Translating the steam version does not prevent you from translating the Japanese version, so even if we do not translate the Japanese version, someone may take the trouble to import the translation. I considered making an automated port of the translation, but that would greatly increase our work because even the automated port would require manual work in order to adjust the sections of the scripts that have changed, after all some dialogue was removed and / or changed in the English version. We can't just to do a ctrl + c ctrl + v, the higher we try to go, the harder we could fall.

So, the project is basically and exclusively focused on translating the h-scenes already ported.
Some more adjustments are expected later on, for quality control and to ensure stability of the 'mod', because the scripts were literally rewritten and complex binaries edited by hand. I personally expect to have some bugs to fix later.

Thanks for replying! After the project is done, is there hope that you would reconsidered doing the port? I know that only a handful of people would actually play on the JP version and appreciate the efforted it took but it would really be awesome.
Nonetheless, I appreciate and fully support the team continuous effort, thanks and StaySafe!

I just created an account just to say ... thank you so much for all your hard work! I barely found out about this thread today but seeing people's passion has encouraged me to translate a visual novel.

But hey, I just have one question, how the heck could you make the .scn files editable? I couldn't find anything on the internet to be able to do it ...

Thank you very much if someone responds to this!
