Looking for a Romance VN I have not read

Hi, I was hoping to get some recommendations on Romance VNs that I haven't already read. List is under profile.

I actually looked for some more upcoming or recent releases but I could not find any that were not nukiges or utsuges (With the exception of Island back in August)

Thanks to anyone who recommends something!

Edit* If possible I would like them to have an english translation, my reason is in one of my replies below. Thanks again!

Well the most obvious recommendation here should be Sanoba, seeing that it's the most recent release by Nekonyan. For more recommendations, I can recommend you something like Little Busters, Crescendo, and Ikikoi there. Also if you can wait for a while, there'll be Sakusakura release at 19th so you can try that later. For the last recommendations, I would like to seconded Hoshiori and even though it's only one route that got translated I think it would be good recommendations for you, seeing that the team who translated it was quite good at their speed (ie you didn't need wait for long if you want to play it fully translated). I hope that my recommendations here will be helpful to you.

Sanoba looked like a nukige to me from just reading the synopsis. Was I wrong? That arousal thing just makes me think of an anime(The testament of New sister devil).....

Haven't read it so not sure how good it is but eden* PLUS+MOSAIC seems like a title a lot of people like and looking at the description it is a love story, so maybe that.

Well you're not exactly wrong for thinking like that, because at the first glance it looks like any ordinary nukige synopsis. But Sanoba here is from Yuzusoft whose also behind both of Dracu Riot and Noble Works, so obviously they'll going to do their usual forte and just in case you want the answer here Sanoba is a charage with romance instead of nukige even with nukige-ish premise. Have fun with Sanoba if you want to try it later.

Wait, this a Yuzusoft game that actually got officially translated and released? Color me surpised. Never thought I'd see the day lol. But yeah it just sounds too nukige-ish for me, I prefer a little more subtleness in a story. Who knows, I may end up buying it out of boredom over the winter at some point.

According to @Decay, who was editing Sanoba, h-scenes, while numerous, are kind-of-optional, and +17 version is perfectly playable as well. I'm reading it now (the +17/AA version), and it doesn't seem too nukigey to me.

Yeah, there are a fair number of h-scenes. They're mostly rather porny and separated from the plot. Usually just the knowledge that they had sex is what's most important. In the all-ages version we don't censor anything outside of the h-scenes. We've even kept any instances of nudity outside of the h-scenes. Since there's technically an h-scene right at the beginning of the game that is very important to the story (a masturbation scene), we've kept that intact but zoomed in on the girl's face so nothing naughty is shown.

I have to say that prologue, and first half of second chapter felt rather slow and bland, but once Meguru appeared, the game picked up pace, and now I'm starting to enjoy it.

Yeah its a tragic love story and I still haven't recovered enough from Clannad after story to experience something like that for a while.

Spoiler

I hate utsuge, but Clannad was something i loved. Well, i havent read the vn, but only watched the anime. It was really, really tragic but holy hell when that game ended. It was something else, even if it was a bit silly.

Don't read Eden if you can't handle utsuge. I think it was waaaaaaay worse than Clannad.

For my suggestions:

Symphonic rain:

https://vndb.org/v38

Dracu-riot:

https://vndb.org/v8213

SakuSaku

https://vndb.org/v10304

If my heart had wings:

https://vndb.org/v9093

Fureraba:

https://vndb.org/v11856

I feel listing everything could take all day, so i'lll just stop with this small list

All of the above are already on my list sadly....that's why I'm having such a hard time currently finding something to read, but did get one that Shogun suggested(Crescendo).

Crescendo is a bit unusual appearance-wise - it's NVL, features third-person narration, and character designs need some getting used too, but it's good. Also, in my experience, for some strange reasons, characters in-game looked to me better than on screenshots.

Yeah, I noticed the odd art but in spite of that it looked pretty decent. Only thing that bugs me is the window its in being VERY small.

I managed to play it in fullscreen mode - my laptop has some additional keyboard shortcuts to enable scaling in fullscreen mode. I suppose most graphic drivers and monitors have such settings, so just try to mess with them after entering fullscreen with alt-enter shortcut.

You need to find setting for upscaling while keeping aspect ratio.

I played all old 640x480 VNs (like Yukizakura, Kazoku Keikaku, Heart de Roommate etc) that way.

Imo, they look like they could easily belong to a shoujo manga.

Yes, good comparison.

And it's not a bad thing. :yumiko:

Yes, I liked them too, but for a short time their eyes looked strange to me. But, like I said, it was just a matter of getting used to that style - it isn't bad.

I don't really fullscreen VNs too often(Haven't since August actually when I read Newton no Ringo), I wish I could adjust the window size to at least that of shuffle, but it's whatever.

Tried looking through the settings anyways and I can't seem to change it to anything bigger unless I change my monitor's base resolution. I sorta prefer the hd look it gives off when its in the small window though.
