I found the game will load any system font that has the name 'SakuSaku Custom', so I put together a modified font based on the 'Gen Jyuu GothicX' font that should improve readability. Looks like this. I can't guarantee it doesn't cause issues, the text size is a little different so it could cause wordwrapping problems, but I didn't see any issues in my quick test.
