Ufotable, the makers of Fate/Zero and Kara no Kyoukai, announced some time ago that they're making a new Fate Stay Night anime. A promo was released in December.

You can watch it here. It is mostly clips from Fate/Zero, bundled with clips from the Realta Nua openings that Ufotable did right after Fate/Zero. However, at 2:35 they show us some all-new clips.

I think that the reproduction you're talking about is the one made by DEEN, no? Or is it Fate/Zero you mean?

Also, it's not confirmed what route they're making. There are clips from all routes in the promo, but they're from the Realta Nua openings.

Currently, there are no information other than that it'll come out this year.

Yeah thats the reprodution i am talking about

http://myanimelist.net/anime/7559/Fate/stay_night_TV_Reproduction

Now I see it wasnt made by Ufotable

I havent weatched that trailer in detail yet but it looks like another reproduction of normal Fate story (which is ridicluous it wasnt even 10 years since first anime adaptation of VN and we have 3 now ?). Fate was genius but mow many times over we can watch the same things happen again and again.

Maybe they will do Heavens Feel route after all, but this would be troublesome since that route is very dark and realy not suited for 13+ display.

Anyway thanks for the geads up with new Uforable projects (Fate Zero was like the best looking anime I saw untill now, technicaly speaking  - and i dont say that becouse i love how emotional and awesome Fate Zero was storywise)

As for your Yuri coupling - I am not a fan of yuri since it makes us guys look redundant ;p, thats why i prefer harems with turi actions allowed ;p In that regard you got to respect the classics Rin + Saber + Shiro. (but speaking about Rin Tohsaka I like her coupling with Archer the best)

Why is it ridiculous? The DEEN adaptation didn't do the VN justice at all. At the very best, it was mediocre, despite the fact that it should've been amazing.

As for Heaven's Feel - I hope it's not that one, simply because it makes no sense without the other routes. I would personally prefer if they either managed to merge all three successfully, or simply animated all three in order. Fate > UBW > HF.

But I don't think they would have a problem with HF, since they're good at dark shows. You should really watch Kara no Kyoukai. It's even better looking than Fate/Zero, even if it's not an action-oriented show.

To be honest, I don't like Shirou all that much. Or rather, I don't like his romances. Saber should've stayed as she was (IMHO) and Rin should had gone with Archer. I know that

Shirou and Archer are the same person

, but I like Archer's personality much, much more.

As for yuri, well, yeah, it does make us look redundant. But then again, it's anime, so it's not like we would've had a chance anyway.

I watched Kara No Kyokai - it si very uneaven  - some episodes are godlike while others are empty.

It ius funny tho seeing how Shiki from Tsukihime is actualy cheap shonen version of Shiki form Kara made jsut to apeal to stupid male teenage audience.

Nevertheless Kara no Kyokai was never taht bid of experience for me as Fare was.

And I am not a big fan of Shirou too, but he isnt the worst protagonist I can think off... he is jsut more desperate and less cool version of Sagara Sosuke.

And if i could wish for a protagonist i woudl liek to be i would have picked Rance ! That guy is the God of all Anime. There should be protagonist like him in evry game !

The problem with getting paid is that we're not legally okay, first we should be able to reach a compromise with the games developpers and I know many of them don't really like the idea of seeing their games be published in the west.

But maybe someday we'll be able to bring visual novels overseas. :) (in a more legal way^^)

Too bad that the japanese market is so xenophobic and resistant to change its remarkable how they think nothing exists outside of their country and if they export anything to the west it has to be removed of any hentai elements like flying heart its so funny that we love their product as they are but that doesnt compute with them . but the real question i constanly cant stop thinking is that are we at least a little  guilty because we pirate these games? wich arent licensed so its supposed to be okay but how many can say that they honestly baught a visual novel? and there are companies like mangagamer who try to sell translated visual novels. i didnt look at their yearly revenue but i dont think its that high i dont have any visual novels myself yet myself so im not judging but instead of saying that they arent being released in the west ever i say we must not get too addicted to torrents try to buy every full effort from visual novel companies to release vn's the west and not complain about translation quality or stuff  like that the anime vievers come up with to justify their illegal streams i will myself try to save enough money to buy clannad soon i hope but i dont have so much money but ill try to start  saving money for it so i can atleast feel good that i atleast gave one company some money for their effort

While I partially agree with that, it is also important to take into consideration the terrible prices for these games here. Digital download at amazon (If my japanese has not failed me horribly). You can bet that that game would cost twice as much here. They also don't have enough titles at a convenient enough location for most people to care for getting the actual copy of the game. Only big names make it to stores in the US. I want to get an actual legal copy of majikoi. I will as soon as I can go to japan (~2 years from now) until then I will most likely keep getting my VNs from torrents.

It's like anime. I used to watch anime in illegal sites until I found a place that I could do otherwise in a favorable way. The ~8 dollars I pay to crunchyroll are the happiest 8 Dollars I spend every month. I could not possibly regret it less even if they paid me 20 dollars to give them 8.

I have certain criteria for when it comes to piracy and the like, i tend to only do it if the company no longer makes money on the product (GBA games, etc.) or if there is no other means for me to obtain the item in question, and once it is available to me for purchase, i tend to purchase it (this counts ordering the japanese copy of stuff like VN's and soundtracks - i'm proud of my Fire Emblem soundtracks - if the price is accurate to what i would pay if i were there)... i think this is standard criteria for most semi-morally conscious (i see it more on the business side rather than morally) pirates, or at least pirates who understand what they're doing and the implications.

good to see that there are people like u but i am afraid that japan wont release vns in the west because when they try people wont buy them because "omg this translation" i want them to be translated all of them and officially released so  i can feel better for reasonable price ofc i dont care about tl as long as it makes sense but when i saw the release for if my heart had wings and the sex scenes were cut for the western version in the comments of the adult patch for it (i think its on fuwanovel tough i cant say for sure) people said "it deserves to be pirated" and it just makes me so worried that people might not want western releases so they want to pirate it for free without any moral problems and laugh at any attempt at all for it to be otherwise. fantranslators shouldnt have to do this but we cant enjoy VN's otherwise

I doubt that Mangagamer makes much, but their titles aren't all that great. Most of them are nukige, and Westerns just doesn't like buying porn. However, if they started selling mainstream VNs, like FSN or Key visual novels, then I think they would see a boom in business. I would personally buy VNs like Majikoi, FSN, ect ect, but never a nukige. Well, not most nukige, anyway. Rance might be an exception.

I, too, have a criteria for piracy, but it's a lot more loose.

1. I will not pay for porn.

I pirate ALL my porn, whether it be stuff from Zone-archive (Sorry, Zone.) or Brazzers.

2. I will never buy a game that I haven't played through.

I download all my games and use torrenting to test whether I think they're worth the money or not. If I really like it, like Dragon Age: Origins for example, then I will buy it. If not, then I won't.

3. I won't pay for music.

This is mainly because nearly 100% of the music I listen to can be found on YouTube, which is free. I only download the music so that I can listen to it offline. There are, of course, exceptions, though.

4. I won't pay for anime or related material unless I love it.

You won't ever see me buying, for example, School Days simply because I watched the show. I'd buy shows like Clannad, Fate/Zero, Kara no Kyoukai, Shingeki no Kyojin, ect ect, but not any that I didn't particularly enjoy.

Most of these rules exist simply because I do not have any kind of income that'd allow me to buy what I torrent.

I do not have a job or any way to make money other than monthly pocket money, so, as much as I'd love to buy stuff, I can't.

I would love to own, for example, Kara no Kyoukai, but I don't exactly have £ 451.58 on me. :P

is licensing  vn's  expensive? lol you would think they would have it easy since they are one of the only companies in a rising industry because i doubt they have much competition over licensing vn's and if they dont have enough money to get big series you would think the makers would prefer bad deal rather than no deal if not for the money  also for the intrest it would generate and for the possibly Greatener revenue it would bring to the vn market inside and outside of japan and so they would get better deals in the future

why does it take so long for vn's to be translated srsly. im not ungrateful or anything i aprecciate fantranslators efforts despite the progress rate. im just trying to understand so why does it take so long  to make a translated vn. is it the translating ? or is it the hacking or is it because of lack of time in tranlators personal lifes? why does it take over a year at minimum to translate a single vn?

personal time is the main reason.

Take a look at it this way:
There's 24 hours in a day, you use 8 to sleep, you use 4 to 8 hours working or/and studying, 1 to 2 hours for personal needs (eating, showering, etc), and add some other hour for commuting from/to work/places. You can add some time to hang out with friends too (if you do). You have, then, like 3/4 hours of free time. Would you spend them all translating instead of enjoying your well deserved time of rest? I wouldn't ^^U

This is an estimate, as there are people that don't work, or don't comute (job at home, or can walk a bit to get to the workplace/school), or that sleep less or more than 8 hours, or just stays at home all day because personal reasons, or that etc.
I took this example from Danny Choo (a guy that manages a website and a Japanese show), as he explained like that the few hours he had to learn Japanese when he was younger.

A Big VN title (like Majikoi FSN etc) is like 100-200 hours of reading

meanwhile an anime of full 2 cours (~24 episodes x ~24minutes of actual content excluding OP ED and such) is only aproximatly only as much as 3 hours of readign skript needing translation.

(24 min X 24 eps X 30%*) * estimated % of dialogs in average anime.

Thats why ppl dont undesrstand that translation VN is much more troublesome than translating Anime or even Comics.

I say it is save to assume that tranlating Big VN title takes as much effort as translating  30 to 40 seasons of anime series.

That should give you guys an idea

Unfortunetly, this is not true. Manga gamer has stated time and time again that the nukiges they translate actualy make them more money than the story centric visual novels, due to the fact that the nukiges are pretty god dam cheap to liscense and translate. The big titles on the other hand cost them so much to liscence that they almost don't make a profit. They're still translating story VN's mind you, they just need to keep throwing out nukiges to keep the company afloat. Have a little faith in them.

(FYI, I might be a little bias since i beta test for them lol)

well, yeah budget is the key issue. I have a massive list of everything that i wold like to legitimately purchase, but face it, i'm a student, i don't really have much of an income, most of my big splurges are at Winnipeg Ai-kon and C4(Central-Canada Comic-Con)... however i try to do my best to support the producer of the product.

When it comes to games, i wait on the game and research it thoroughly before even making a purchase, that's how i avoid wasting money

Same with most anime that i can purchase, i watch it first and buy it if i enjoy it and would like to see it again.

also, who purchases porn? there's so much stuff that doesn't even need to be pirated.
