Invisible Text Problem

Make sure you are running SR_qc.exe, not SR.exe.

You may need to install the Essai font. Double-click on the file named Essai included in the download.
If you moved the game from where it was when you ran the .bat file, either move it back or just run the .bat file again.

 

regadd.bat doesn't work

First, try to run it as an administrator.
If that also doesn't work, you may have to set the values manually
enter your start menu, search for "Run".
Now, click "run" and a small window should appear.
Input the command "regedit" to enter the registry windows.
Click the "file" option when the registry windows appear, and click "find".
Write "locales" and it'll put you into a place with three files.
If there are only 2 of them, click "new string value". You should also set all of the "Data" options to MOO.

 

Crash on certain lines:

Load a save up using the Japanese program (SR.exe).
Click through one or a few lines.
Save.
Load in the English program (SR_qc.exe).
Fast-forward through the line by holding ctrl.

Minigame

It's way too hard:
I think I set the default mini-game difficulty to hard. Since SR gameplay is pretty hardcore, you might want to try normal to start with.
If it's too hard anyway or you can't be bothered you can set it to auto-play the songs in the options menu.
 

Timing seems off:
Try changing timing mode in the options menu.

Wrong/weird characters on notes:
 When playing you will see symbols that clearly aren't right on some notes. These are actually just to the left/right of the other keys used; for example, on the jkl; scale, ";" is displayed as "+".
