Um, can anyone translate these lines for me?

[The part before:

[And this one:

[Finally:

This line:

(They're from the scripts, but the translators somehow missed out them. I'm not at the level to translate stuff so...)

Thanks! :)

I don't get the context so I'll try my best.

While we only have three birthdays to celebrate every year, at least it went up by 1 since last spring, since we've counted in 羊's.

Right as class ended, 錫也 came to where I was sitting at.

We spent our time doing our usual stargazing on the rooftop garden as we brood over our birthday troubles.

As I thought, it doesn't matter who, she'll yearn for anybody.

but when it comes to the job, 羊 can't help it.

I kept my selfishness at bay.

Don't trust my translations though. I'm very known to screw up with particles. :P

I think I got this one:

Lately, the scale of Tsubasa(?)-kun's inventions has increased.  And accordingly, it takes more time to clean up after them when they fail.

Yeah I'm drawing a blank on this one. It's some kind of lewd joke. The one I'm not 100% confident in is the third line.

In the end it's Mare-chan isn't it......

Lolicon is an incurable illness.

Jeez no answers to the last post :( oh well. Here's another one that I believe should be reasonably accurate, but any pointers would help since shintoism is not my forte.

If the main shrine learns of the existence of Star Gods here, I wouldn't be surprised if they dispatched an army here to subjugate them.

Although the outward appearance of our job is to worship Star Gods, in reality we're more like a military force aren't we.
{0x94a74 142bytes}

Shintoism's origins go back to trying to turn powerful deities who harm humans in to virtuous gods through prayer, and was based entirely on faith rather than force.

For example people like Michizane of Sugawara and Masakado of Taira?

However, of all the powerful deities out there we attempted to convert, the only one we were unable to appease through prayer was Amatsumikaboshi.

And that's why he is regarded as the only evil god in Japanese mythology.

Which is why our work, rather than sending off spirits, has turned in to sealing them.

Because it is only after a Star God is sealed in a meteorite, does it begin protecting the land.

As well as prevent them from appearing ever again in the world of humans......

Can I have some help with this one?

The context is that basically the herione came back to the place where she was staying after visiting a guy staying at another place who absolutley loves carrots. So the guy who meets her coming bak guesses it's the guy and the herione is wondering if there are any other carrot lovers in this world.

If you can't guess, the game is; Anniversary no Kuni no Alice ^^;

It must be his love for carrots that stands out.

-- as far as I know

彼のにんじん好き = his love for carrots would be the topic, and ーだろうか expresses the mode of the sentence, not really a question, but more of "I suppose that, don't you think so".

context would be something like: his love to carrots is superior (the best in the world or something),  isn't it? (don't ya think?)

だろう (informal, people try to avoid that form) でしょう (polite)

I would go with: "No one loves carrots more than him probably."

context is the same as mine. your sentence sounds good but you loose informal tone. that's the problem. you always loose something when you translate.

Yeah, but I like smooth translations and I really don't like sticking too much to the original wording, since in Japanese you express things in a different way than in most western languages...

I guess the carrot line is pretty well covered, but just in case:

"Do you suppose anyone loves carrots more than he?"

Sorry Mephisto I don't think I can help this time with your Shinto stuff or your weird "joke" (at least not without reading more of that scene)

Hello.....is anyone able to help with this? It's a Onmyouji chant from 11eyes.

omg this is just a shonen gibberish. is this "Onmyouji" some kind of wizard or what? i didn't read 11eyes and i don't know the context so i will not help. yet it reminds me of this :D

Yeah, for something like that you might want to give context. What kind of character says this and when, and what he/she does when saying the line, and why he/she says it.

But 五雷神君 appears to refer to five thunder gods (君 being used for higher beings, monarchs/rulers/badass people and such, Reinhard in Dies irae is described with it as well IIRC, and he's also a near-godlike dude), while 奉勅, according to its definition, is 勅命を奉じること (so this does indeed lend itself to a by the power of Greyskull interpretation, hilariously enough), the second part basically seems to imply some character is busting out an electric sword, since he/she is saying it holds the very essence of 歳星 (in this context, Zeus/Jupiter?). Edit: To clarify, the first part seems to invoke the authority of the thunder gods while in the second the character seems to manifest their power in his/her sword... I think. That's the best I can come up with without knowing anything about 11eyes or the context.

So there you have it. I gave it a shot, at least.

Thanks for replying guys.

You see,i'm trying to do CHN to ENG translation of a VN no one really cares about at this point as a little personal project due to it's notoriety of an adaptation and it's averageness of the original.

I'm trying to guess at the context of the Onmyouji chants, just needing to confirm if there's any special japanese esque meanings i missed. That was just a sample to try guess at the "Mood" of it.

I was planning to learn japanese at some point ago to where i could read most VNs,but i dropped the idea because i ran out of titles and reasons i would want to translate if i had the skill.

BTW, Onmyoujis are practioners of Onmyōdō,a Japanese Cosmology art.

Some help here on the 2nd to last line please. The logic just doesn't make sense. He's correct that she's a knight but that's not the answer she expected from him even though it's the right answer because she's confident that she's well known as a knight? So tempted to just change the Nope to a Yep just to make it all logical. NOELCEPTION XD

This person seems to be able to deduce my abilities just by reading my aura.

I wasn't even wielding a lance, and I haven't in a long time.

???@Noel [Correct! You're good at this~!]

Takahiro [Did I answer as you expected I would?]

???@Noel [Nope. Anyways, I expected you to know much about me.] (NOELCEPTION Logic here!)

Takahiro [You seem pretty confident about yourself.]

「well, a measure to protect(defend) ourself might be needed just as the words 'there's no need of worries if you prepared well'」

備えあれば憂いなし -> is a japanese prhase.. I'm not an english native so I'm not really sure with the english phrase.. >.<

not limited to knight, just by seeing the aura that person has, we can tell what that person is doing for live
