Hello, I need help with a sentence. Context is that the guy just passed out and cant perfectly remeber what happened so he is having a girl tell him what she saw.

白粉の話を聞く限りでは、意識が飛んでいようといまいとあまり差はないらしかった。

The part that is really giving me trouble is this one here: いようといまいと, no idea what that is.

According to 白粉's account, it wouldn't been much different whether (I?) was unconscious or not,

いとうといまいと = そうであっても、そうじゃくても、~

Hey guys I need help figuring out how to put this into english:

力尽くで押さえつけて
にこちゃんを無理矢理はだかにするの

Original if you want (in case i made some transcription mistakes):

f2vl8VG.png

This is a yuri vanilla manga, this is not a rape scene I promise as it was happening in one of the main girl's dream and all.

I'm trying to translate a few manga pages for passing time. Help is appreciated.

Pinning down and forcefully stripping niko-chan with brute force.

Thank you~

I've finished transcribing the whole thing now and roughly translated most of it but there's still some parts messing with my head.

I pretty much can't figure out most of page 19:

Context: All these sentences are by Nico and she's talking to Maki after being seemengly rejected by her

Original:

gRRsRTo.png

Then in page 34 Maki says this innerly:

きのうまで
近づくほどに
よりくっきりして
埋められなかった
心のすきま

Original (Ecchi warning):

Fs8jnOf.png

And lastly in page 35 again Maki speaking internally

全身が

このままとろけて

にこちゃんとまざって
ひとっになって
しまったらいい

Original (Ecchi warning)

fjaxKV2.jpg

Those are the major chunks I can not properly put into english and I don't want to ruin the moment with some stiff translation.
If anyone can help me translate all this (or part of it) I will love you forever.

Hey, can someone tell me what the kanji in the screenshots is?

I don't need it translated or in roman/hiragana/katakana forms, I just need it in text form so I can use it to edit the game files. More specifically, I'll need to create a mapping between the internal values used in the game's text files and the actual kanji (probably by referencing the Unicode values).

For example, I figured out the first two kanji in the first screenshot - 時 間 but I'm struggling with the rest. All I need is it in textual format like I've just posted (so that I can copy and paste the symbol and find the corresponding Unicode value). The actual translating won't come until later if I've determined it's possible to replace the values in this game.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

だってまきちゃんは女の子だから

Well, Maki-chan is a girl after all.

キスしたあとの矛防線

The defensive way you reacted after being kissed

まきちゃんが回避しようとしてるのは一体なにかっと

I was confused as to what you trying to avoid it meant...

曖昧にしとくのもいいかなーなんて思ってたんだけどね
今のままでも楽しいし
So I kinda just thought "I guess it's fine to just leave things ambiguous" since where we were at was already fun.

やっちゃったわね
碓かめるようなことするんじゃなかった
I messed up didn't I.
I should have ascertained your feelings.

まきちゃんはキスより先を望んでなんていなかっー
I didn't think... that what Maki-chan wanted rather than a kiss was something ev-

I'll just say right now that the last line cuts itself off, which I assume leads in to porn or something, but if it doesn't some more context might help, since this is an extremely liberal translation (since I couldn't think of a literal one that made any sense).

きのうまで近づくほどに
Lit: Within the period up to yesterday of us getting to know each other.
Use?: In the time we got to know each other better
よりくっきりして埋められなかった心のすきまが
Lit: The even more clear gap in my heart that was not filled up
Use: The unfilled gap in my heart that was becoming clearer and clearer.

This should segway in to something else, since it isn't a complete sentence. More context would help with making proper translations.
全身が
My entire body
このままとろけて
lit: melt like this
Use: I don't care if I melt like this
にこちゃんとまざってひとっになってしまったらいい
lit: it's fine if I end up becoming one with Niko-chan
Use: and end up becoming one with Niko-chan.

Yes it leaded to porn after page 19 but i didn't really want to put that part here for obvious reasons.

And the line that gets cut off is because Maki cuts her sentence so it's meant to be like that.

I'm on mobile right now so i can't copy paste what came after page 35 but i think you provided enough insight to get me to complete the whole thing. If i recall correctly after mentioning the whole body melting thing they just resumed chatting so there wasn't really a next thought i believe.

But If i still have any issues i'll post them tomorrow. And i'll try to give more context too.

A really big thank you Mephisto. You helped me big time. :D

Clarity:

The segway in to something else is referring to よりくっきりして埋められなかった心のすきまが

and the final scene should be

I don't care if my entire body melts and ends up becoming one with Niko-chan.

I forgot that the first clause was part of it.

I may perhaps be coming here more often than I should....

Well anyways. Thanks for the assist on the last line. I have a new mission for you should you choose to accept it. I think I get the gist but I dont really get the equation part at all....

Thanks in advance.

平目時と同様に一日あたりの食費を300+x[yen]として計算すれば一カ月は四週なので月

額食費4*7(300+x)となり、これを整理すれば8400+28x[yen]という解に至る。

It's a formula for calculating the food expenses for a month based on how much the costs are for a day, if they calculate by (300 + x) yen per day, and assume there are 4 weeks in a month, then in 4*7 (4 weeks * 7 days per week) = 28 * (300 + x), which leads to (8400 + 28x) yen per month.

I attempted to translate these sentences but I'm not sure they are 100% correct. If anyone else could suggest any improvements that would be helpful.

時間は流転し、死へ臨む存在とともに生まれ消えてゆく。有限 Time constantly changes, things that wish for death are born then disappear. Finite.

Times flows, and alongside mortal beings ("those who face death") it is born and fades away.

一方で時間は過去から未来へと移ろいゆくのではなく、超自然的に悠然とただそこに在る。無限 On the one hand, time flows from past to future and is not transient, on the other it seems to be just supernaturally sedate. Infinity.

Conversely (or "other the other hand"), time does not move from the past towards the future, rather, it supernaturally and calmly, merely exists. Infinite.

智を知る者は智に溺れ、智を知らぬ者は泳ぐ術を知らず The person who knows too much drowns in knowledge. The person who doesn't have knowledge doesn't know how to swim.

Thou who knows drowns in knowledge. Thou who is ignorant knows not how to swim.

To find out that you don't know what you don't know is like becoming one step closer to god.

To accept that one does not know what one does not know, that is the first step towards approaching god.  (I dunno if being closer to is being closer to god faith-wise, or the if this is the first step to becoming a god-like being ie. ascending)

Wow. Impressive work! I wish I had your skills. Thanks for taking the time to re-translate those lines! :D

Edit: Actually there were two additional lines that were not included in the screenshots but again my translation and yours is like night and day... I've also numbered them to give a sense of context:

3. 英知を持つを知らぬ者こそが、真の智者であることはすでに過去の智者が語るところである

It is exactly because a person lacks wisdom that they can already speak about the true wisdom of the past.

5. 知るを知るとなし、知らざるを知らずとなす。これ知るなり

To know is not to know, Not knowing not to know. Becomes knowing.

It's not that impressive. There's tons of places where I don't know the precise meaning, but it's just hidden under fluffy English. There are many easier-looking things that are in fact harder, I think. Ok not these two lines, these were seriously hard.

3. 英知を持つを知らぬ者こそが、真の智者であることはすでに過去の智者が語るところである

It is exactly because a person lacks wisdom that they can already speak about the true wisdom of the past.

It is precisely those who have not known wisdom (lit: have not experienced holding wisdom) who are truly sages. This is something which sages of the past have already spoke of.         (I think.)

5. 知るを知るとなし、知らざるを知らずとなす。これ知るなり

To know is not to know, Not knowing not to know. Becomes knowing.
To be aware of what one knows, of what one knows not, this is "to know".   (なり is an archaic thing that means です or だ 。)

(I couldn't understand the line directly, but the second half of the line turns out to be a proverb, and so from that you can more or less infer the first half.)

Oh, this is from steins gate!

This morning I became fascinated with this line, so I did a little more research on it.

After picking it apart, I guess would have written something like "To know what one knows, and to know what one does not know:  this is knowledge."

Which is pretty much the same thing that you wrote.

I found a modern translation of the Analects of Confucius:  They translate the line as:

"To know when you know something, and to know when you don't know, that's knowledge."

Then I found an older version of the Anelects which has:

"When you know a thing, to hold that you know it; and when you do not know a thing, to allow that you do not know it;--this is knowledge."

That last version not only makes full use of the capabilities of English, but also renders it in an old-fashioned, proverb-esque way that is very hard for those of us living in the modern world to fake...

Hello can someone please translate this for me? Thanks

yhEQl6N.png

I'm going to translate these literally, because my interpretation of how computer things translate into English might be a little arbitrary. If you're using these buttons in a game, I recommend testing out to see what they do.

Operate Button Display (the word "operate" is describing button, probably)

Character Move (or remove, or whatever)

Take Screenshot

Standing (or current, or whatever) Picture Information Save

Standing Picture Information Load

Return to Initial Settings

I won't be able to use this function  until later in the game. These are the last buttons i am need and UI is complete.

This is indeed a very basic question, but it has been nagging at me for awhile...

Is aho/Baka a noun or an adjective? Is it is indeed an adjective, then is it a na or i adjective? Could I say something such as "baka na (some noun)"?

I did say one question, but it becomes three if the first is answered as an adjective. I know as a fact that the third question wouldn't be used often, but my curiosity is overwhelming my reason at the moment.
