7'scarlet

The game follows college student Ichiko Hanamaki whose brother disappeared in the town of Okunezato the year before. Okunezato is gaining a reputation as a "mystery spot" location. Ichiko's childhood friend Hino Kagutsuchi finds a website called "Okunezato Forbidden Club" where people gather to discuss the mysteries of the town. The site is hosting an offline meetup in Okunezato during summer vacation, and so Ichiko and Hino go to Okunezato to try to solve the mystery of her brother's disappearance. Playstation Vita.

Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly

The game follows a young woman who wakes up in an unknown Western house and is attacked by hideous monsters. As she runs away she wonders where she is, and who she is, as she has lost all memory of her past. She finds other men in the house who are in the same circumstances. All the inhabitants hold mysterious handguns. The protagonist and the young men must risk their lives to take part in a "black butterfly hunt," and gather the "fragments of kaleidoscope" that the monsters possess. Playstation Vita

Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk

The game takes place in a town ruled by two powerful families: Wolg and Farji. In the town, any woman who has a red eye is considered a witch, a taboo existence. The protagonist is a young woman whose right eye turns red when she has strong emotions, and to protect herself from persecution she disguises herself as a one-eyed boy and lives in a rotted tower in the forest outside of town. She lives her life peacefully, until one day the town's mysterious treasure, the "kaleidovier," is stolen. With that incident, the protagonist starts to learn the secret of her birth.

Code: Realize ~Bouquet of Rainbows- (PS4 Port)

The game features a steampunk aesthetic and a cast of literary and historical figures, including Arsène Lupin, Abraham Van Helsing, Victor Frankenstein, Impey Barbicane, and Count Saint-Germain. The game was already released previously in 2015. What makes this different besides being a ps4 port is that it also includes the fan disc.

The title also features a fictional TV anime series, “Frill & Lace”, created as an homage to recent popular “magical girl” anime series.

The game will have multiple routes, English and Japanese text display with Japanese voice acting. INO is drawing artwork for the game, and Yuhi Nanao (Corono Blossom) is writing the story. Frontwing has not yet revealed the release format, but it will release the game worldwide with a full adult version in digital and physical release in the first quarter of 2018.Subarashiki Hibi: Furenzoku Sonzai (a.k.a. Frontwing will release the game's first chapter, titled "Down the Rabbit-Hole," in late August via Steam for US$29.99. Frontwing will then make the game's remaining content available via a separate adult content patch, which expands the release to the full game at no additional cost. It will also be uncensored outside of a bestiality scene that is 10 lines and 1 CG in length. The game will not contain mosaics.

Frontwing will also launch a Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign for the game on July 12 for physical goods for the game. A Prefundia page will launch for the campaign later this week before it starts. The game is Frontwing's first collaboration with developer KeroQ, and the two companies are considering future collaborations.

Really disappointed at MG's choice of a Moonstone game and, ugh, Space Live looks like something straight out of Sakura series. But on the other hand Evenicle and Damekoi are both really great and much anticipated announcements so I'd say MG easily beat their last year's AX licenses.

Well to be fair Mangagamer has on a whole typically had better (and more) announcements at Otakon. I imagine the same will be true this time as well.

Space Live I have no interest in at all. Magical Lunatics I know little about and since I've yet to play other games by Moonstone I will wait and see how I like those first.

Koropokkur doesn't really interest me and I have no interest in backing it via kickstarter until more is known...hopefully we get a demo at the time of the kickstarter.

Evenicle I'm not too surprised about and probably will pick it up for the gameplay which tend to be unique and fun if by Alicesoft...so hopefully it actually is.

Damekoi on the other hand I'm very much looking forward to and think this was probably their best announcement for AX...although they have not even hinted at what is going to be revealed at Otakon.

I also get this odd feeling that they let something slip during the panel. I wouldn't be surprised at all if we get an announcement of White Album 2 come Otakon. The look they gave each other as the name was said is just a tad suspicious.

Damekoi was legit the only hype announcement for me. For somebody who can really appreciate character drama, this is quite the interesting license. Glad MangaGamer managed to secure this one.

I honestly highly doubt it. I get the link between Damekoi and WA2 is Maruto himself, but I seriously doubt Leaf would let the license go unless it was for a large sum that MangaGamer doesn't have.

I hope I have to eat my words on this proclamation to be honest, but it's the most realistic way of seeing it in my opinion. I have wanted WA2 for a long time now and do hope it comes out though.

I'm so dissapointed, I really was expected for Sakuranomori Dreamers... Ugh... I think that I need to make my expectations lower...

I've been extremely interested in that title as well. From the way it looks, I wouldn't be surprised if we see almost all of Moonstone's VNs from Imouto Paradise onward (except maybe Eroge Bu which I don't really care about anyways) kind of seems like they are just working down the list at this point with the order of releases.

I don't think i would mind too much if they skipped Demon Busters (though the pervert in me says otherwise) and announced Natsu Nostalgia some time next year as the next Moonstone release. In an ideal world they would skip Ojou-sama and go straight to Sakura no Mori Dreamers after that. I imagine they most likely won't skip Ojou-sama though...

I could be way off base with that announcement order of course ;)

Is anyone else not even remotely interested in the JAST announcements?

I'd go so far as to say I dread the announcements, since they never release anything anymore and keep snatching up the licenses to a lot of VNs I want to play sometime in the next century.

Well, their last year announcement was sort of joke to me here because while two of those three were big VN (Eiyuu Senki and Katahane), it was already available for a while and it's translated to boot. In short, I think you could just sort of ignore their last year announcement although they'll apparently would bring some interesting announcement here, although for now I won't expect much though.

I've made a slight correction it seems as if Secret Project 1 (which is also 100% edited/translated) has not been revealed yet; the Magical Lunatics game was actually Secret Project 3 (unless the website is inaccurate). If interested in seeing the full progress it's below. It does look like Damekoi though will be releasing sooner rather than later as it is 100% translated and 100% edited.

I find it extremely unlikely too and it was probably just a look of 'don't mention that one here' type of deal but hey I can hold onto a bit of hope.

Happy about Evenicle and Damekoi :Chocola:.  Honestly I'm happy with any game announcement by most of the established Vn companies [the ones with proper translators to be precise]. The more choices the better for everyone. I'm even interested in JAST, maybe they'll announce that they're expanding and hiring more people to work on the Vns they have? maybe they'll up their game in some way, nobody knows what they'll be announcing so anythings possible lol.

Can't say i've ever been dissapointed of these expo announcements, I might not be interested in some but f-it, at least everyone gets a taste lol. The steam crowd, the casuals, the elites and everyone in between, we all just want to read some Vns man :wahaha:.

Ps: got 'awww' triggered by Korropokkuru, still reading D.I and Shiro called Kasumi that a few times, freaking cute. They translated it munchkin, but it means fairy or something right? anyway, its a cute word :D.

Honestly, if I wouldn't know that this is AX, I'd definitely think it would be Otakon going by MangaGamer's mostly moegish announcements.

Although I expected Sakuranomori Dreamers, Magical Marriage Lunatics is a title from MoonStone I was actually interested in, since I like the character designs and there's lots of potential for a good comedy moege. I'll most certainly buy that.

Didn't really expect Evenicle as the new AliceSoft game. Usually I'm interested in fantasy titles, but this is AliceSoft's most ugly game and I absolutely hate its character designs. So I'll definitly give that one a pass.

Damekoi is a pretty old but well regarded title. Considering Hermit is dead I guess they got this title via their former parent brand WillPlus. For once this has adult characters, which in itself is almost revolutionary. So I most likely give that a try just to support that trend. Although I keep my expectations low considering the protagonist is tagged as hetare and I hate drama's which are caused by retarded protagonists.

And with SpaceLife we get another new Circus title. Looks like they changed their artist(s) again - unfortunately not for the better. Considering that the just recently released Dal Segno is probably their most pretty title to date, this is a real downer. It's even worse than Da Capo 3. Although I'll probably pick up Dal Segno some day, I honestly doubt I'll be similarly tempted by SpaceLife.

Not sure what to think about MangaGamer playing Key now...

Overall, even if the creep factor is much lower than last year, the announcements are still pretty mediocre. I hope they've better stuff prepared for Otakon.
