Can't find PPSSPP text thread in VNR? (Amagami EbiKore)

Hey everyone. I'm trying to get Visual Novel Reader working with PPSSPP. I managed to get VNR to hook some kind of output from the emulator, but I don't think it's the main text thread.

Here's what I'm getting with Shift-JIS encoding:

One of those threads appears to contain the names, but the others just look like game files.

Likewise for UTF-16:

The output is all mojibake, and it doesn't change as I click through the game. It's like it's capturing everything except the main text thread.

Current setup:

  • PPSSPP 0.9.8
  • Running PPSSPPWindows.exe rather than PPSSPPWindows64.exe
  • Launching VNR after the game is launched, because apparently you're supposed to
  • Win7 locale is set to Japanese
  • Game text speed is set to max

So far I haven't had this problem in VNR; it's been able to detect text threads pretty much automatically. Thoughts on what I should do?
