akaritan Posted October 5, 2016 Share Posted October 5, 2016 Umineko: Ange Spoiler Singlehandedly made chapter 8 my favorite in the VN, and had an incredibly powerful development, best in the VN imo. Tears were shed. The House in Fata Morgana: Michel Spoiler On top of being an incredibly unique and unorthodox protagonist for a VN, I don't think I can name another character who's so relatable and human even without the reader going through anything he has. I felt that chapter 7 and Michel in general could teach you things about human beings as a whole if you were paying attention. And I could tell upon rereading that a certain amount of love and care was definitely put in to his writing; in chapter 5 you could pick up on things that were revealed much later by vague words and actions, and there are numerous lines and subtleties to him that, again, don't mean much the first time through but add layers of depth once you reread with the full context. Ourai no Gahkthun: Berta Spoiler reverse trap samurai waifu. Her design (heterochromia <3, the sleek outfit and color scheme, those long, slender limbs), voice, character arc, just everything appeals to me on an aesthetic level. Also not traditionally "moe" at all, which is a breath of fresh air. Why is she so perfect I have a lot of others that I like, but these are my top three.
