Favorite BGM/soundtrack of a Visual Novel

Eustias op Asphodelus is probably the most beautiful. It's stunning.

Besides that though, probably MLA for consistency. I want to say Rewrite but it's battle themes were pretty lackluster, but it had great character themes.

G-Senjou has a massive tracklist that has a lot great stuff.

Could talk about music forever tbh.

Best soundtrack is obviously Katawa shoujo for me.

The game has no voice acting and yet they managed to make it good.

It's a pleasure listening to the OST from time to time.

Regarding very good soundtracks i'd say Clannad's and Little busters'

First of all, this, from Steins;Gate. The music isn't the same without Okabe's voice, but it still brings back many memories.

Also, this discussion theme from danganronpa. It never fails to make me pumped.

There are tons of VNs with great OSTs, so I wouldn't be able to pick a favorite.

I really liked the fighting music in Fate/stay night.  There were enough songs for the fighting scenes that they didn't get boring, and they really made the fights seem more epic.  I especially liked http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UTcPaBt_pFA.  I actually liked that it looped; I listened to it for about ten minutes straight  lol

From my little experience in VNs, my favorite 3 OSTs are:

3: Grisaia No Kajitsu. Some of the soundtracks got me completely into the scene to the point where I could not stop playing. Especially the dramatic/creepy ones.

2: Katawa Shoujo. This was my first VN, so it holds a special place. I find it hard to find a single song that wasn't at least 'good'. Some of the songs I still listen to and enjoy on a regular basis.

1: Little Busters!. Little Busters wins on feels factors. All of the soundtracks have some sort of amazing memory linked to them. They are happy, sad, scary and whenever I listen to the vocal songs I am always overwhelmed by feeelsss and find myself wanting to replay the game.

This said, I still have a lot of VNs to read.

Umineko, no doubt. It's unique, catchy, and has amazing variety. I usually have one or two favourite tracks from any VN OST that I listen to a lot, but I love just about every single song from Umineko.

If I had to pick a second one, probably Saya no Uta for these great creepy, mysterious tunes, and the wonderful vocal tracks.

This is my favorite BGM from hapymaher...  well, second favorite.  My favorite got knocked off youtube by copyright hounds months ago.

Edit:  There are no bad Hapymaher tracks... there are only masterpieces, great tracks, and good tracks, lol.

I really like Kara no Shoujo's OST, some of the tracks are just super chill. My favorite would have to be this one:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYDknZPhLXI

I also adore Dies Irae's tracks, especially the vocal ones like Uber den Himmel, Jubilus or Einsatz.

But there are some really good non-vocal BGMs as well, my favorites are probably " AHIH ASHR AHIH" and "Walhall".

I'm too lazy to link the rest but they're all on Youtube.

THANK YOU. I was wondering why no one mentioned Umineko's soundtrack. It's pretty god tier. Like I might go as far as say, you haven't heard some of the best vn tracks without giving Umineko's ost a chance.
