CatSoul Posted May 28, 2016 Share Posted May 28, 2016 So I know Wine won't load the opening movie to Ever17, and the common advice online is to just skip it. Except...there's no way to skip it on my end. I was told to hit the Escape key until it did, but the program won't respond to anything after the Hirameki International logo. Terminal has a freakout spitting the same errors hundreds of times. Is there any way to configure the game not to load the movies before opening it? Image of the error. ittaku Posted May 28, 2016 Share Posted May 28, 2016 Bring up winetricks and install: quartz ffdshow wmp9 and wmp10 Then when ffdshow is installing, in the configuration add mpeg1 and mpeg2 to the playback options. This should allow most videos in most games to playback. The mpeg1 option is the most important one (and the one affecting you here.)
