Some h-scenes do have proper dialogue though. I've skipped quite a few myself. Seriously dislike when h-scenes have the same dialogues and sex scenarios as every other heroine in the same novel.

That was the major problem with Amane's route in my opinion. You don't really know what she's feeling for Yuuji. If she's throwing her life away out of guilt for Kazuki by being with Yuuji or if she truly develops genuine feelings for him. I know the latter should be evident, but the route was too rocky and either way is possible. Her ending was not a truly happy one as she was still sad. And that simple sentence by her grand daughter that made her happy and content made me wonder what on earth Yuuji and their daughter had been doing. 

Anyway, Yuuji did NOT abuse Amane by taking advantage of her. He had absolutely no knowledge about Amane and Kazuki knowing each other at that point, and he only had sex with a female who more or less throws herself at him. If someone was taking advantage of anyone in this scenario, it was Amane playing around with a guy she didn't like.

Some parts of those h scenes nearly killed my boner. I'm glad Amane is hot or else I wouldn't have been able to tolerate them.

You are working on the assumption that H-scenes are there to have a meaning in the first place. Their first and foremost point is titillation, it's only natural that most H-scenes don't really make sense. The developers have to put them in the game in such a way as to create the right mood leading to them. If you simply had a timeskip at the end of the game straight into an H-scene, other questions would arise, such as "how are they doing now, in general?" and it would simply feel too sudden.

Try to be a bit more forgiving, is all I'm saying. Poorly-made H-content bothers me too, but I've come to realize that some elements are unavoidable.

Plus, a lot of these scenes are just thrown in and have no effort put into them, which is refreshing when you come across one that you don't skip and come back to later.

I feel like a lot of the people in this thread are just expecting Japanese porn to be the same as Western porn and then they're let down when it's not.

Japan doesn't handle erotic content the same way the West does, that's just a matter of fact, most of us know the h-scenes in VNs feel out of place a lot of the time, but that's because the industry sees porn differently than we do over here, they see it as more of a fetishistic/reward type of scene whereas we expect sex scenes to be more emotionally driven.

Go look at any Japanese AV and you'll see it's all the same shit, a bunch of girls screaming "ochinchin kimochii" and having all sorts of weird stuff done to them in one take, and Japanese games work the same way. People who watch pornography over there expect this kind of stuff, they want to see all sorts of embarrassing things the female body can do, not see hugs and kisses.

You shouldn't go in an eroge expecting porn to be all emotional and sappy, that's a recipe for disappointment.

I'm not saying I like all types of h-scenes, even I find some things a bit too much, but I've grown acustomed to the way Japan deals with porn versus the way the West does, and I think a lot of people would benefit from just learning to accept this fact.

I pointed out pet peeves I dislike in sex scenes in my first post too, but ultimately that doesn't mean I've come to hate h-scenes or anything.

I prefer H-Scenes with some spice to it like doing it in the balcony or the back of the train with some risk involved of being found out. Yes I am also have a guilty pressure of loving those scenes where the heroine has a dildo or vibrator in her genitals and have to stay calm when she interacts with others. Tried it irl for about 10 mins and it's definitely an uncomfortable experience... So yeah, only VN heroines can pull off this "feat". 

I dont like missionary or blowjobs that much because they are pretty much everywhere in 99% of all VNs anyway so I prefer when my sexy times were more unique.

Also I value a great foreplay scene (for the heroine). Whether it's a 69 or cunnilingus, if the protagonist can really "dig in there" and make the heroine feel like she's in heaven before the actual sex act, it's more than enough to satisfy me. Sometimes I even skip through the rest of the h-scene if its the typical "ochinchin kimochii" scenario like @Nosebleed was talking about but the foreplay was phenomenal.

I don't think people are concerned with having a logical conversation during sex, but maybe that's just me.

Sure, saying how big and fat the protagonist's phallus is might get boring after a while, but then again what is she going to talk about, the wheather?

Given that the intent of the scene is to make you aroused, I don't see many alternatives to the current state of affairs.

Yes, h scenes should get you really aroused, but if I have to put it on auto mode and not pay attention to the dialogue while I'm fapping, it's a bad sign that the dialogue doesn't affect me anymore like it used to.

And that's why I absolutly fuckin' HATE some scenes in VNs.
Basically - Property damage.
Usually for comedic purposes.

Examples:
* G Senjo No Mau, 'common' part.
Protagonist is a great fan of Bach, and new compilation of his music just came out. He adores his collection of Bach music CDs, so he even bought two examples of this newest album. One for listening, second for 'never opening on shelf good looking' purpose.
And that BITCH Kanon just ripped newly bought case apart, so forcefully, that CD dropped on pavement and got scratches.
"Ohohoho, so funny, portag is now angry, but why is angry, nothing serious happened though, ohohohoho."
For fucks sake, I was pissed. I wanted to put my hands through my monitor and strangle her then and there. If something like that would happened to me I would probably did something like that (I have some minor anger issues).

* Hoshizora No Memoria.
Chinami, in her first scene, stepped on glass doors to her closet, while they were laying on the floor, before installation. Okay, fine, she did it to herself, she's dumb.
But right after that she did the same thing to protags glass doors. And it was not fine anymore. And this fucker, instead of unleashing his rage and spank her till her ass was nothing but a bloodmessed pulp, he said he will just buy a new ones. ARGH.

Also TsunTwin damaged a lot of photographic aparates. But only when guys where taking somewhat indecent pictures of her with them, so I'm kinda alright with that.

* Imouto Paradise
I'm strugling to finish this title, I'm reading it for like 2 months now (I did both Kara No Shoujos in around a week), and it's really tiring. But I don't want to drop any more titles, so I will endure. And I stepped across that scene:
Protag was just deadly tired, and fell asleep during playing some RPG on his handheld. Then his lively, mischevious loli imouto came to wake him up, cause watermelon to eat, but seeing that he is sound asleep, she decied to ride on his penis. Okay, fine, that's rather typical trope.
But. Right after all this, this little piece of shit stepped on his handheld, totally breaking it. So he got little (or 'very much', as for typical empty protag goes) angry and shouted to her 'what have you done', etc. Also mouring his data loss and progress in the game. And she responded, laughing that nothing happened, and, I qoute, "as long as we're alive, things like that will happen. So don't worry, tomorrow will be a better day.". WRARRGH. No apologising, no nothing, just laugh. She was a rather fine character, I kinda liked her (around 5-6 out of 10 points, where 10 is Yashiro Kasumi form Muv Luv, and 1 is Rika Makiba/Chinami [other heroines in imouto was on 4-7 spectrum]), but after this scene I got so anraged that I took her off 3 points. I can't stand her face and voice right now, and that means I will not finish this horryfying VN tonight. Goddamn.

Also in Imouto is another sister, which came to protags room, stole his every porn oriented thing and just sold it. Because reasons. And he is only kinda 'sad' about it. Nothing else.

Hardcore porn is almost never inserTed in any plot-driven work. VNS are the only exception, that's the main reason they feel forced. I don't think the majority of "western" porn is particularly emotional, anyway.

What I hate the probably most in that kind of situations in VNs, is that I don't get any 'reward'. Like there is no proper reaction for that action. Protagonists are just fine with that. Mildly sad maybe. Never angry. Never calmly demanding a proper retribution, payment for stolen/destropyed property.*  They're just denying me that pleasure of looking at proper scolding. I love looking at stuff when people gets what they deserved. There is no "hell yeah, you tell her mr protag!" scenes in VNs.

But it's still about more or less 'regular' sex, as bad as it sounds, from mild foreplay till the male orgasm. From A to Z, while in japanesse/VN porn that 'alphabet' is most of the times all over the place.

I'm sure it's been brought up before, but OELVN's that are based in Japan, even though the story would probably work as well (if not better, due to cultural shiznit) in the country of origin. I guess there's the whole argument that, by being set in Japan it appeals to a target audience more, but Christ. Either make it worthwhile being set there, or set it in the US, Norway, wherever.

Hell, I'd love to read a VN set in Milton Keynes.
