Hello fellas: Did you know that there is a patch that lets you see WWX content on GOLD?! It's made by WinkelHime. This patch lets you view WWX events but there are two drawbacks: 1) No gameplay of WWX since WWX uses a different engine than GOLD (you can still play GOLD like normal) 2) Not everything is translated. A way to be getting way more out of your legally purchase copy of Eiyu Senki GOLD. Highly recommended.

Eiyu Senki GOLD is pretty good. There are some more paths than you can take, but the main roadblock will be pretty much Russia since there is a cold that really damages you. You can pick your path freer in this game and there is also some modicum of an actual story that does not go to deep and doesn't take itself too seriously. It is definitely worth it for the reason to be patching in the WWX content - a game that has basically been quickly discontinued after it didn't pull many players on Johren anymore. Now it is pretty much the only way to play that content again. 

Ah, there is also an item & crafting system that is quite cool to explore and complete.
