Some of my favorite NTR games had average ratings but imo they are a 8-10 rating material because they satisfy my fetishes more than enough. It's better to read reviews but the best judge of vns is playing them yourself.I tend to rate VNs based on the whole package, not just singular elements. Story, art, voice acting, settings, gameplay (if applicable), h-scenes (if in a nukige or h-heavy VN) etc. I tend to view story and art as more important, obviously, but the others still matter to me. That's why almost no nukige would be a 10 to me, because they sacrifice story for fap material. I think rating something for only one aspect of it is a little strange, but to each their own. If it's a galge/otome, I prefer that the artwork must be at least decent and the relationships are handled nicely. If it's a nakige, I expect to shed some tears and if it does that well and not too forced, then the game did its job. If it's a nukige and all the sexual elements presented are to my liking and satisfy most of my fetishes then I wouldnt mind giving nukiges a 9-10 rating even if the story/characters are crap. Deep Blue Posted December 16, 2015 Share Posted December 16, 2015 this particular vn was about revenge but everything falls apart when the reasons behind the revenge are moronic, he was mad(the scientist) because they were bullying him at his work for a really stupid reason, this is explained in 10 lines at most, but the only girl that didnt bully him was the girl that he wanted to torture and she even tries to reason with him and he doesnt care. It was like reading an spoiled child wanting something just because and having it his way at the end of the story, the thing is this spoiled child was monster who enjoyed torturing people in really fucked ways (he also was a genius and created a drug that gave people eternal youth lol)also there are sci-fi elements like being able to preserve a human head inside the stomach of another human and that head also can talk without lungs but well that's is over-analyzing everything, you also turn into a tentacle monster for some reason Like I said there is not a single redeeming quality in this vn, the music was really bad, just some bland metal, the voice acting was meh at best, the story atrocious, even the art style was good at best.
