Eden* Graphics Error

Running with Japan system locale?: Yes

Game Name: Eden* they were only two on the planet

Description of problem:

So after going through an exceedingly complicated installation process, I finally managed to get Eden* running (Japanese version)

I have no idea what is wrong here, but my text on screen shows up like this: http://imgur.com/a/Wl4sW

The graphics also screw up some times, as if the whole game is extremely laggy.

OS: Windows 10 Single Language

64/32 bit: 64 bit

What did I try: Reinstalling, run as admin, compatibility settings, updating graphics driver, restarting computer, messing around with the settings in game, scouring the internet for potential solutions

Help? I think I'm going to spend more time trying to get the VN to work than actually playing it

Try this one as said by @binaryfail.

I've briefly played with Windows 10 and tried these installation methods: upgrading from Windows 8, as well as a clean install.

In both cases, the Japanese fonts like MS Gothic are not installed by default in Windows 10 (despite them being included in previous versions of Windows) which means they'll need to be installed from the control panel.

To do that....

1. bring up the Start Menu -> Settings

2. click System

3. pick Apps & Features (on the left)

4. choose Manage optional features

5. choose Add a feature

6. find Japanese Supplemental Fonts and install it

or this one

It might be the system's time/date format (which is not the timezone) -- try changing that to Japanese.
