Due to neglect, the protag starts "talking" to plants, and is sent to a remote academy that doubles as a mental institution for children who are "psychologically challenged". He becomes the only member of the Gardening Club and is effectively given complete control over the academy's extensive gardens. Over time, he comes into contact with other students and/or faculty who all have their own problems, to which he provides relief in the form of illegally-cultivated opium. Will he be able to provide the relief they seek, or will his relationships devolve into addiction-driven exploitation?

Before the main menu: on the day of her college entrance exam, a girl wakes up in a desert during a sandstorm with no shelter but an abandoned cabin. Or as abandoned as a cabin where a witch lives can be. The witch gives her a box of matches and tells her each match, when lit, will give her a glimpse of a possible future for her, but after that this future will become impossible. Main menu: at first, the VN cannot be started normally but has multiple save files you can load, each one corresponding to a match in the box. You cannot save. Once seen, the save file disappears. The Start button is unlocked once the player understand who the witch is, what the box of matches is for and why she is in that desert.

King of the Hill  by TexasDice
Our main character and his class are going on a ski trip. There, the protagonist gets accquainted to more characters and through unexpected developments, has to eventually win a race against an arrogant rich boy-type character to save the run-down ski lodge from rich boy's dad's construction company. The whole thing is written and toned as a mixture of happy-sappy Visual Novel and cheesy 80s/90s underdog sports movie.

Bypasser Syndrome by Jason

Protagonist wakes up, with no memories of who or where he is. Whenever he makes a connection to someone, he absorbs their memories that involve him. He learns he's done some amazing things, and some horrible things. He tries to piece together his past, while shaping his future.

One Last Time by Storyteller

Protag and a few friends (3~4?) wake up to find themselves in another world, where they must work together to survive and overcome hardships while searching for a way to return to their own world. With their teamwork, they easily surmount the various challenges presented against them, finally reaching their destination. However, they are told only one of them can return at a time. The rest will have to do it again from the start. You choose one of the characters to send back.

Protag and a few friends (minus the one sent back last time) wake up in the same world, with no knowledge of the previous loop. Once again, they work through the same hardships, though a little more difficult this time, and reach their destination once again. There, they're met with the same decision: choose a character to send back. This keeps on going, with each loop becoming more difficult than the last as their numbers dwindle. In the end, with only two left, they barely make it to their destination. Both the protag and the remaining characters know that neither will be able to complete the quest on their next loop. The protag sends the last remaining friend home.

The protagonist wakes up alone, with no knowledge of past loops. He must brave the hardships one last time, but this time, there is no one to help him along the way.

Yami no Hikari by Ryukaze

Two brothers who are potential heirs to a kingdom in an alien world battles one another for a reason the younger brother, Light could not forgive: the murder of their only parent. Light unleashes the sacred relic, Kradon to judge his elder brother, Dark with an intent to kill him. However something unexpected happened, the will of Kradon opened a gate between the human realm and their home world: Terrial. Dark wakes up in a foreign world oblivious to everything around him, and further yet, he loses his memories and his powers sealed with the exception of inhuman stamina and reflexes. After a few years of arrival to the human realm, the remnants of the attack from Kradon reaches the surface of Earth and granting a selective amount of humans with supernatural abilities and also awakening a small spec of Dark's powers. The choices you make will build up Dark's personality and ultimately the outcome of the human realm.

Write your idea below. Include a name, a credit name ( if not done by you ) and a basic description. Keep descriptions under two paragraphs, just for ease of reading.

Also, no longer editing them here unless they're an appropriate length and I have time.

Just in case anyone gets the writing buzz in their head.

--A man's fight to protect his family results in genocide.  Emiya Shirou if Emiya Shirou turns into a mass murderer halfway through.

--A girl runs away from an abusive home and falls into the underworld.  Coming-of-age story, tries to make the world a better place.

--A college-aged boy loses his memory and becomes haunted by his lover's ghost.  Evangelion if Evangelion were about mental trauma.

--A young woman has to assassinate a high-ranking official after inevitably causing the apocalypse.  Official turns out to be her father, who was forced to abandon her as a child.  An utsuge.

And if you can, jump into a first scene and see what comes out of it.  Usually a good step to take.

Boukyaku no Rakuen

Due to neglect, the protag starts "talking" to plants, and is sent to a remote academy that doubles as a mental institution for children who are "psychologically challenged". He becomes the only member of the Gardening Club and is effectively given complete control over the academy's extensive gardens. Over time, he comes into contact with other students and/or faculty who all have their own problems, to which he provides relief in the form of illegally-cultivated opium. Will he be able to provide the relief they seek, or will his relationships devolve into addiction-driven exploitation?

  • Homeroom Teacher
A cheerful woman who serves as the protag's homeroom teacher and Gardening Club's advisor, but has Dependent Personality Disorder. She often wastes class time talking about how lovey-dovey she is with her lover, who lives in the city. As time goes on, however, she talks less and less about him. Eventually, she finds out that he had been cheating on her, at which point he breaks up with her. During this period of time, she starts acting more and more nervous, and finally suffers a nervous breakdown. Protag provides some opium to help her back on her feet. Over time, however, she becomes addicted. Choose:
    • Take advantage of her dependence
Protag starts demanding sexual favors from her in exchange for the opium. As her dependence grows stronger, protag's demands also grow increasingly violent.
      • One day, he finds her dead in her room, having overdosed. Protag leaves the academy and never comes back. BAD END
    • You can't give her any more of the stuff
Protag decides it's best to cut back on the stuff. He starts taking care of her, helping her through withdrawal. She starts developing feelings for him out of gratitude, but fears that it's from her dependent personality disorder, which they work out together. Choose:
      • You convince her that you'll always be there for her.
        • A few years later, she still works as a teacher at the academy. The protag, after graduating, became officially employed as a gardener at the academy. They live together happily. GOOD END
      • You fail to convince her
        • She starts suffering nervous breakdowns again, and protag has no choice but to provide opium to ease them. Her addiction relapses. One day, protag finds her dead in her room, having overdosed. Protag buries her under a newly-planted cherry tree in the gardens. After graduation, he becomes officially employed as a gardener at the academy. There, he spends the rest of his days caring for the cherry tree. After his death, he is buried under the same tree according to his will. END
  • Other heroines?

She was stable when she got the job. I figured one wouldn't be able to tell before she fell apart.

The place is less of a "let's treat these kids" place and more of a "let's keep these children out of people's sight" place.

Perhaps mental asylum is a better term here than mental institution (technically means the same thing? Different nuances).

i was thinking on a possible high school vn not placed in japan but not so alien to usual vn readers and I came up with this crap:

Plastico *

"Western" (possibly italian but it could be of every possible nationality) boy suddenly finds himself in a Japanese School in a girl's body and vice-versa. The Japanese school is a fake school made up with virtual relaity while the "western" one is a real High School, and of course the girl's personality that takes over the western boy body's would be an AI.

I admit i'm heavily influenecd by R11 and a little by Fate/Extra

*(italian, a scale model of a builiding or multiple buildings, archittectural model)

I can't came up with a fitting english title...

Title: Yami no Hikari

Some may call it extraterrestrial life, some call them Gods, and others may see them as demons. There exists a realm that differs from where humans reside, a realm where magic and superhuman abilities are no strangers to reality; a realm otherwise known as Terrial. Two brothers were born as heirs to the only kingdom Terrial has, and they were both named protectors of the realm due to their individual talents. They held unique abilities and their father decided to give their names respectively to their elements: Light and Dark. Light being the younger brother, while Dark the elder. One night Light saw an unforgivable event; Dark standing with a blade bestowed by their father in hand and their father covered in blood lying dead on the floor. Succumbed to rage Light forced Dark out of the sacred settlement and both brothers had an intensive battle that caused even other realms to tremble from their might. While they were both unmistakably strong, Light could not best Dark due to his lack of experience and so he was forced to summon the sacred relic of Kradon; exerting a powerful beam of light that blinds everything in its path. As if Dark has accepted his fate, he opens his arms welcoming his demise to the attack and so he disappears from the world of Terrial leaving his blade behind. However, Dark did not completely disappear, but instead the relic opened a gate between realms of Terrial and the human world. Dark wakes up in a foreign world known as Earth in a country named Japan with no memories of his past, and his powers sealed within him leaving him just like any other human with the exception of inhuman stamina and reflexes. Confused as he were, he wandered around the country with no place to go, seeking food and shelter to survive. This unsightly situation were to be repeated day after day, until a mysterious man who saw potential in the 16 year old Dark then adopts and teaches him the rules of this world. Dark attended school, met new friends and lived a normal human life. What no one knew was his arrival to this foreign land was earlier than the remnants of the sacred relic's rage. 2 years after Dark's arrival, golden sphere-like projectiles which can easily be mistaken as shooting stars shot all around the globe hitting various areas of Earth. This awakened a new era in Dark's new home land. A selective amount of humans who were normal up until now, have obtained respectively unique abilities that were thought to be only fantasy. A small spec of Dark's powers started to rise again due to this phenomena, and an outbreak of a new war arises on the face of Earth. While Dark is still oblivious to his identity, he groups up with his friends Leo, Elisa, and Manami who all had also received the enhancement from the sacred relic to band against this chaos which fell upon their world.

There's a lot more to the backstory, let me know if you like to know more. Thanks for reading!

The descriptions are a bit long, they're supposed to be elevator style pitches. Short, sweet, easy to understand.

Yeah, I did realize how lengthy my description was. I guess it's more of a manuscript rather than a synopsis, but I did want to pass a mildly detailed story to see if anyone would like to pick it up.

I guess a shorter version would be:

Two brothers who are potential heirs to a kingdom in an alien world battles one another for a reason the younger brother, Light could not forgive: the murder of their only parent. Light unleashes the sacred relic, Kradon to judge his elder brother, Dark with an intent to kill him. However something unexpected happened, the will of Kradon opened a gate between the human realm and their home world: Terrial. The choices you make will build up Dark's personality and ultimately the outcome of the human realm.

It's still a bit long but at least it's shorter. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have one and I am currently writing it as a light novel (only the prologue so far). Not sure if I should share it here due to fear of plagiarism. But I guess a summary wouldn't hurt.

Science vs Sorcery

In 2326, Earth was invaded by an alien invasion force know as Vars. Facing extinction, humanity resorted to their final option, a galactic vessel called "The Ark" to flee from Earth before it becomes fully occupied. With roughly 2700 people aboard The Ark, the humans went on a long journey to find a planet across countless galaxies where they could live in peace and possibly rebuild so they can reclaim Earth again from its conquerors.

Arriving on a planet similar to Earth after 32 years and 1286 people still living, they found a new ray of hope to thrive, however, there were already denizens in this planet and surprisingly, they could understand the same languages that the humans can speak. They also possess unique talents which humans can relate to as sorcery or magic. The original denizens of the planet welcomed the Earthlings with open arms and they exchanged all their wealth of knowledge and resource with each other. The Earthlings managed to rebuild their home, their culture, and their lifestyle and they also adapted to the new ways of life presented to them.

The story follows Raynor, an 21 year old man born from 1st generation Earthlings after 30 years of human occupation of the new planet the denizens call "Myarlis". Earthlings focused on rebuilding and improving their technology with the new resources of the planet so they can reclaim Earth again. Raynor becomes one of the lead engineers of the reclamation project. He was also curious of the "magical power" of the Myarlisians, so he begins his quest to learning more about this so he can combine both the power of science and sorcery to combat the Vars and make Earth theirs again.

To that post wanna add my own offer. The group of friends is scientific research group, who was sent to examinate foreign object, what has fallen with the asteroid on the Earth's surface. This object is some sort of alien harddisk, meant to replicate overall planet state from some period of time. He's meant for preserving entire planet info in a single moment to use it in future researches. As our scientist activate it,they got sucked into "replication of planet world".Also,to animate world preserved in this object world the time flow is perpendicular to our own,so that no effects of its usage will remain in actual world. But all the actions taken there is real, they just fot extended to other timeline. So as emotions and deaths of characters are also take place. The quit point of the world is some portal, that can be used to deactivate timeflow, but because our group dont know alien language and usage of this object, they can return just one person because its one of the settings "by default"-to return just one person. After that intrusion to the "recreation experiment",overall programm restart it from the start.

Also, the alien's in this scenario is human-like,so they got some instruments attached to the people trapped in there.Like some sort of superpowers-"heat control","materialization","teleport" and so over. One power to every one of the test subjects. And by returning home some of the main heroes,we also lack's of some superpower next time.

Protag through sheer lack of empathy is choosen by omnipotent being to
become a grim reaper after his death. At first he considers it mostly
a chore or job if you can call it that. He mostly gets lowlife's or people
from underworld to take away. While he isn't working he gets to observe people
lifes from above and decide if they should be helped or not?

(At this point you get to choose 3 girls and after completing it you get true route)
(GirlA route)

She is mostly shy type and average student.

At age of 9 years she got into car accident with her parents(where they both died)
and she got disabled right arm. She lived since then with foster parents.
She adapted quiet well with new parents and got along pretty well. They had few
quarks sometimes but everything else was great. She remained in the same school
and still got along with her only friend. There were some bullies in class but
mostly they ignored her.
(Backstory, foster parents adopted GirlA since they couldn't have kid of their own)
But like something could predict future it gave them a child year later after
they adopted GirlA. It was fine at first till boy turned 5 years. He noticed
in some instances that he can abuse his position(since parents care more about him)
He started using it regulary to attain things that of sister. GirlA still couldn't
view whole picture but she started to understand that they loved more her younger
brother. Around this time father got fired from some usual white-collar workplace
because company was almost bankrupt. Since he was most of time at home and was
bored he started to drink to curb his boredom. Little by little parents started
to get annoyed at GirlA because they thought it was her fault.
When boy started his first grade of elementry school GirlA was around 16y/o
and going in third grade of high school.(school is co-ed)
Parent's and GirlA agreed that she would escort him from and to school everyday
and if she had classes a little longer boy would wait at designated place.
Second term started. Boy's classes run a little short compared to his sister's.
So he decided to wait where they agreed. Couple of third years started to ask
him for some money since he didn't have any they started to get iritated and
pushed him couple of times until he fell heads first on concrete and got massive
bruise across his head. He started crying like crazy and teacher came applied some medicine
and wrapped bandage across part where bruise was the she went on to call home.
Father who was only one at home at that time answered and started yelling
"How did that happen!?". When he came teacher saw that he was flushed
in face but didn't really comment. After 10 minutes GirlA came and saw father
and boy. Father was clearly upset and slapped her across face and dragged her
by left arm into car. GirlA tears started flowing naturaly from force of the slap
and was dazed till they got home she finally connected stuff being told to her

from yelling of the father that someone pushed boy. At home father put boy to bed and dragged

GirlA to another part of house where there again he started screaming and yelling at her. Then once again
he slapped her across face and she fell, tears started flowing once again and she covered her face
with her only working left arm. She couldn't utter single sound from fear.
Father with still flushed face and intoxicated started unziping his pants.

(choice)
Will you help her? Even though this isn't mortal danger and she is predetermined to die later?
Yes
No

Sorry for bad grammar and sorry if story sucks xd, I made it on fly just now.

The Deep End to True Companions

One of the points I liked the most in Majikoi was when the group (almost) chased Chris and Yukie out of the group.
Being the type of game it is, though, they of course couldn't actually chase Chris and Yukie out.

Which makes me want to see a game from the standpoint of a transfer student who, over time, gets to know one such group of friends, and gets invited to join them for a while. The thing about the group would be that, while generally good people, they have somewhat skewed values from the average person. The protag feels this as he/she spends time with the group, but puts up with it for a while, until one last point where he's forced to recognize that there is something seriously wrong with the group, and points it out to them. They then, of course, would disown him from the group, much like the way it went in Majikoi, but all the way through.

Less of a VN idea and more of a one-shot story, I guess.
