VNs with and without sexual content disscusion

I will not lie part of the reason I am into visual novels is for the spank material. I like porn with a complex story and relationships, and few other mediums can offer that. Now having said that, it is not like I instantly hate a visual novel because it dosn't have sexual content. I love Steins;Gate, Higurashi, Umineko, Fault, and several other all-ages titles. I'll even admit that there are some visual novels, like Ayakashibito, which could have benefited from some h-scenes cut.

I don't enjoy eroge in visual novels and usually it ruins the mood when I'm playing because is like watching some really interesting story and in the middle having to watch a porn movie without any reason...is not that I don't like it but the way vns implement the eroge is just for pure fan services so it doesn't accomplish nothing.

There are very very few vns where the eroge is well implemented but sadly this are the exceptions, for example I really enjoyed the eroge in ef or even in yume miru kusuri, it was awesome because it was a way to develop the characters relationships and not just have an excuse to show them having weird sex and yes most of the time the way sex is handled in vns is really weird and unrealistic.

I don't really consider whether a VN has sexual content or not when deciding whether to play it. I will give anything a try if it has half-decent reviews/reputation or if it looks interesting to me personally. I consider the sex aspect to be like in real life: sex happens. It's not that strange. It's also not at all necessary to telling a good story, so it's fine either way.

Coming from an environment of mine, there's no way I could ever prefer those VNs with H-scene (even if I wanted to). Moreover, since I'm a first child and have many sisters, I have a dignity to keep and a duty to protect them. Therefore, my favourite VNs are mostly all-ages version (Clannad, Little Busters!, Steins;Gate) or Vn with a few h-scenes (Tears to Tiara, Grisaia no Kajitsu).

Do I consider it?  It depends... to be honest, H-content rarely acts as a positive for me (my fetish is so weird that I've only found a few VNs that catered to it).  After all the VNs I've played, all of it looks the same (except for extreme stuff like necro, vore, scat, etc.).  Nowadays, it depends on whether the heroine fits my tastes or not that might make me care... and there really haven't been many that have, recently.

@scorp, you´re free to agree with all i´ve said before^^, as its (mostly) the same you´ve stated, but simply assuming every 18+ version is superior to its all ages pendant aka the full experience is also ..abit..missleading, because there´re those like chrono clock with them as independent xtra content (for economical reasons)- non really related to anything, as well as on the other hand those like amentes amentes where a huge amount of content been added to compensate for other stuff lost.

And regarding an increase of personal attachment towards  the cast through given h-scenes, yeah that is possible, but from my point of view only happens if the story is well written and executed, more likely when everything is more serious and stuff, because generally i wont get attached to anyone whilst reading brainless moege etc, regardless who fucks with whom or not.

Yes, there are examples like eden* plus mosaic, where h-scenes are outside of the main story and accessible as bonuses, in this case I am not really bother with h-scenes. I am generally speaking about usual way of creating all-ages - cut out all h-scenes, censor remaining bare breasts/other stupid things/sprites, in the end you get a story for 10 year old.

That is respectfull man, I am also a first child, but my sisters are a bit older so I don't have that problem. Actually one is a fan of visual novels having played titles like kara no shoujo, but mostly Yaoi. The other fancies herself a bit of a amateur manga artist and has done sketches of (ahem) those scenes. The deviant gene is prevalent in my family.

One reason is that it is very rare for h-scenes to seem 'natural' in the flow of the story.  Most h-scenes are meaningless and/or just plugged into the middle of the story at random, thus making them more disruptive than helpful.  Oddly, chuunige actually have fewer problems with this than charage (probably because chuunige frequently use h-scenes as plot elements), though Nasu couldn't use an h-scene to save his life.

Another reason is because in the west, there is a tendency to consider anything with sexual content to be less well-written than that which doesn't.

Yet another reason is that there are always prudes amongst the perverts when it comes to otakus... people who just don't enjoy sexual content at all.

In Ayakashibito it might be problematic to cut those because of the 2 endings for Touko. Some of them aren't important I agree to that but some others fit the story/situation.

I don't really care if there are some or not there are also all ages VNs which are some of my favorites (Steins gate, Ever 17), I just don't want it to be cut if you don't like something you can always skip it which I do somtimes, not often but it happens, but I'd like to have the choice because sometimes it it fits the story or the situation or you just want to see it.

But I don't want them added into games which didn't have them.

I don't necessarily dislike vn's without h content but it's just that when I know the vn has them i know i have something to work towards <or better said to read towards> tho if the story is not to my liking i'll just drop the vn, I don't read vn's for the H content but I find it hard to read one without<clannad, Lb etc>. Ironically enough if the vn has too many h scenes i will just ctrl skip through them after the first few, and i can't really read nukiges <i only managed to read and enjoy 2 of them and even those i did not read them to completion> but  i guess i am just a weirdo who likes the story of the pornz more than the actual pornz

Giving me that link, what's your intention? Are you trying to pick a fight with me? Say, if I really were a siscon, why should I play those games, I have the "real ones" after all. If you have many sisters like me, you would understand that such games are mere fantasies of those who doesn't have any sister, or have some screws loose. I love all of my sisters, as a brother! You should have at least 4 sisters with different ages to understand what being a brother really is for me. If you have less than 4, how about trying to ask your parents?

I'm pretty sure he was joking around dude, no need to bust a blood vessel. I would also like to add that I actually really enjoy reading incestous smut, not because I have any inherent desire to bang my sisters. I like them as people, but they are light-years away from my "type". It's the forbidden romance appeal, similar to netori or student - teacher sexual relations. It's allot less apealing in real life, but just like highschool, can be entertaing to experience in the 2-D world.
