VNs with and without sexual content disscusion

Novel21

Recommended Posts

I have played many VNs now and most Of them have sexual content in the end Of the game and in begin Of heroine rute.

I have played VNs with much sexual content like School Days but I didnt enjoy it very much since it was sexual content nearly right away after you start the game and it was sexual content until the end Of the game.

So I stopped play that game and have not touch it since.

I'm only playing game so have sexual content in the end and Of course I'm playing all Ages VNs.

So I have question for there.

How many Of there are playing VNs with alot Of sexual content?

How many Of there are playing VNs with less sexual content?

What do you prefer the most, VNs with alot Of sexual content Or VNs with less Sexual content?

And sorry for my pervert question, it was not meant to be pervert or anything.

It was simple question so I have been curious about for awaile.

It was alt for now.

See you later

personally i´m usually playing vn´s with a (hopefully) good plot and i dont care in the first place about all ages or not. if there isnt sexual content to the story its okay & if there is one, mostly connected to the story itself then so be it. some stories simply cant be told without and i despise attempts turning them into whatoever version for a bigger mainstreamity, sacrificing the atmosphere in the process.
normally i dont intend fapping to a story driven novel, regardless how their h-scenes turn out in the end., for this i read nukige or push my gf to the ground.

examples for novels with (very) high sexual content that i consider worth reading:

- harumade kururu (sumikko soft)
- rasen kairou 2 (age)
- bishoujo mangekyou series (ωstar)
- Kawarazaki-ke no Ichizoku 2 (elf)
- gatenkei (elf)
- chu singura 46+1 (inre)
- vizal no nikki (amagasa)

Mostly I agree with XReaper. I read VNs for story, not for sexual content. But, I am enraged, if someone cutted content out of the game, because usually h-scenes get you more attached to characters (just the fact itself to have a sex between two characters get you a fine idea, in what way they got emotionally attached to each other). On opposite side, when in VN there is no sex scene and present a huge love story - I will never believe in such story, as it is bullshit to the core.

So I would never read all-ages, if a 18+ version exists. And yes, as mostly h-scenes consist of "sluuuurp", "aaaaah" etc, I also ctrl-skip them.

Uh, some routes have barely any sexual content at all.  Early sexual content only happens on a couple very specific branches.  If you got early sexual content, it's probably because you cheated on Kotonoha.

@scorp, you´re free to agree with all i´ve said before^^, as its (mostly) the same you´ve stated, but simply assuming every 18+ version is superior to its all ages pendant aka the full experience is also ..abit..missleading, because there´re those like chrono clock with them as independent xtra content (for economical reasons)- non really related to anything, as well as on the other hand those like amentes amentes where a huge amount of content been added to compensate for other stuff lost.
And regarding an increase of personal attachment towards  the cast through given h-scenes, yeah that is possible, but from my point of view only happens if the story is well written and executed, more likely when everything is more serious and stuff, because generally i wont get attached to anyone whilst reading brainless moege etc, regardless who fucks with whom or not.

biggest complaint i´m having with is the point, many people nowadays seem to believe only h-scenes are responsible for an adult rating & if cut out in one way or another turn EVERY novel/game automatically into an all ages version, which is completely bullshit no matter how you look at it. think someone stated the same on the muvluv threat, saying that adult storys are written for adults, having h scenes or not.

I prefer VNs with as little sexual content as possible. I honestly don't care that much for h-scenes anymore, but I still feel a strange feeling if the MC doesn't end up banging the heroine at least once. xD

So really, it doesn't matter. I usually don't go out of my way to play an all-ages version, for fear of missing out on other content that may not be sexual in nature.

I don't really care if a VN has h-scenes or not. I'm not really interested in moege or nukige myself. If I'd want porn I'd rather watch it than read it. But for VNs, like some people already said, if the story is good enough it doesn't really matter to me if it has h-content. I can really enjoy both. It's not like a good VN should or should not have h-scenes. I don't really agree that a good romance story can't go without h-scenes either. I'm actually more often turned off by how the only hint of romance between 2 characters in a story is the h-scene.

If there i an all age and a h-version and without major loss with the all ages. I still read the vn's with h-content, as I dislike removing stuff from the vn.. A few times I read the major parts of them due to story context or hilariousness of the scenes. At times I look forwards to the scenes, but I the end. I always end up skipping them. As they are boring as hell.

So in the end I prefer h-content vn's, but skip the h-content. I prefer the uncut version in the end.

As for caring about there being h-stuff... I don't really...  Give a shit; lol. Read too many vn's. Praise the ctrl.

I think Muv luv and loads of vn's are indeed mature stories. They can easily affected younger audiences, thus prbly shouldn't read them. That's a sweeping generalization though. I think it depends a lot on the person how they react to serious stuff. Not everyone should read stuff about torture, rape, killing, massacre, dying, fear, constant fear of dying etc.

Saying it's all ages is so wrong in that sense. It just means it doesn't have porn anymore. Acceptable in the west = all ages.

It's like the consoles versions in japan. Gotto remove the h-stuff. Then it's A-okay. But then it's 18+ or 17+ or something.

Summed up:

*chomp*

Or do there like to play Nukige VNs?

Normally I don't like them, or at least they are a low priority.

But, sometimes I just get in the mood. :illya:And while the internet can take care of that, the voice acting that goes with a Nukige is sometimes incredible (and/or laughable :wafuu: ).

Hopefully this thread won't result in a flame war, like all the other ones :amane:

I tend to gravitate towards 18+ VNs.  I have a few all-ages titles, but the greater are by far 18+.  Some of that can be attributed to my wanting to get the original version and not the one that was modified later to increase sales (usually going from 18+ -> all ages, but occasionally can go all-ages -> 18+), but I'm not gonna lie, I like h-scenes, as shitty as they tend to be.  That's probably never going to change.

I Generally don't mind either way.

The most inportant parts are the characters, world building and plaot. (not neccesairily in that order)

And during most routes in a vn I am neutral regarding sex scenes, i do somtimes think they fit and somethings think they should have been left out.

Here is an example from Grisaia.

During Makina's route i really wished they left the sex scenes out they did not fit and fekt akward in my opinion, but during Amane's route i think the scenes fit and in some sense complimented the route.

So generally i dont swing either way.

But i would like so see vn's focus less on the every herione needs a sex scene in the case of a 18+ vn.

Use them for routes that suit then and don't use then for routes that don't suit them.

Don't care one way or the other as long as the focus isn't on h-content. They can add as much erotic fluff as they wish. I generally skip all of it if it isn't pertinent to the story. Even in love stories, characters tend to act like whatever sexual act never took place for the remainder of the route, so it's not as if we're missing out.

I think this is at least my 20th post on the subject on this board alone. Got to love repetition. Popluar topics such as these should just get stickied and be heavily moderated instead of going through this endless cycle.

I mainly read 18+ VNs, and if there's two versions, I'll always get the 18+ one. Part of the reason is of course that I like H scenes, but another big one is if you've already got sex in there, you can't market it to anyone <18 anymore, so there's one less reason to pull any punches in areas other than sex.

I won't skip a VN just because it doesn't have any sex, though. I don't think there's any need to force sex into something like Higurashi, for instance. It just wouldn't fit the atmosphere.

Well, i'm definitely an exception. I am asexual, and a love story without sex, actually is a dream for me, so I always play the all ages version. When there's only the 18+, i play it anyway if I like story and characters, but sometimes I wait for an  All-ages version.

Personally I don't ask a vn to be real.I play VNs(and other games) not for reality, for the opposite. There are times when the story is just too stupid and and unrealistic, but it rarely happens with Vns I play.

factum est i would definitely buy more all ages games IF they were more numerous in terms of actual quality, beacause i´m not so keen on those halfbaked stuff related to animes etc. (though there are exceptions). thing is as stated before, i´ve no problems with buying all ages as long as i will get the full experience ergo the complete story intended by its author to be read - no censored bullcrap - which sadly isnt normally the case, considering most vn´s in which i´m interested in are beeing released as 18+ and their all ages pendant is derivated from them - means their explicit content got cut out in the process, where the reader wont know if he´s missing plotrelated stuff or not, unless he buys both versions. of course the other way round is also sometimes abit shady, when non plotrelated h-scenes are simply added to an former all ages version - often destroying the reading experience through feeling alienated, or making the whole thing suddenly unhomogenous.
either way, i buy most of my novels in the version they are released originally for reasons stated above - if having my doubts then i´m reading through lots of comments before deciding.

edit: skipping h-scenes is cool, but without reading them at least once, you never know if you miss some important lines in between, as i know loooots of novels where that could happen.

Personally prefer 18+ versions, or at least games with 18+ versions, since they *seem* to tend to have better content.

Then again, I haven't played much games without sexual content, so I'm probably not qualified to state as such.

I honestly don't mind having games with no sexual content, though.

I generally just ctrl through the H stuff, though I might actually "read" through them on the 10th replay or so.

There's the rare occasion when not having certain sexual content does annoy me though...

I swear there should have been a 3P scene in Haruka ni Aogi with Lida, Miyabi, and Tsukasa.

Or at least a scene between Lida and Tsukasa.
