Japan's response to USA's giant robot duel challenge

Recommended Posts

A quick google returns nothing on the initial challenge.  I'm skeptical enough to call publicity stunt, and too lazy to search for any evidence of this being true.

Do I really care?  No, not really, if it does turn out, both companies get millions of dollars thrown at them, and I get a good show to watch.

Well fuck.  They actually did challenge them.

You too can build Japan's robot by buying a starter kit on Amazon.jp! (It only costs 978,000 USD)

P.S. The questions and answers, as well as the reviews, are pretty funny.

Americans are rolling out a tin can model on tracks that looks more intimidating than the toy guns it's armed with, while Kuratas is a fully operational machine. You can't even expect US to win this, haha.

Just wait, the battle-ready Kurata will be armed with a giant katana made with glorious nippon steel folded 10^15 times. Burgerbot doesn't stand a chance.

Will be fun to see that katana cleave the american bot in half.

Sure we could be solving the world's issues through countless political debates that always end in stalemates, OR we could let countries battle it out with mechas.

This is actually G gundam's plot. I hope this turns out the same. This is beautiful.

Also Robot Jox.
