Nosebleed
Starless is pretty extreme, but how extreme is it compare to Euphoria that's going to be released soon (don't know the dates, just heard that the translations and edits are finished) by MangaGamer? This is a bit like comparing apples to oranges. Euphoria is more of a dark story and actually has a plot to it. Starless is a legitimate nukige with the intent of arousing the reader and provide copious amounts of porn. As for types of content in both, I'd say Starless goes a bit further than Euphoria and is more varied in general. But euphoria also has some pretty fucked up scenes. Regardless though, the settings and tone of both games are just very different and they're clearly aimed at different demographics.
Decay
Euphoria is still very porn-heavy, it just has an actual plot to go with it. And of course, Starless is for masochists while Euphoria is for sadists.
Kurisu-Chan
I may continue until the end and make a review about starless.
sanahtlig
Just don't get your hopes up about getting it up on FuwaReviews through the community submissions process. The red tape is very red. And thick. And possibly not made of tape.
Kurisu-Chan
Actually i would just post it here, not in the blog.

Regenerate
Yeah... I just played with the uncensored patch and wow... The first half was okay, but the second half, there was poop and pee EVERYWHERE. What an interesting read...
XReaper
4 those who have that sort of fetish its surely a great vn, but me never got into the right mood enjoying such kind of story, cause its bit too overdone for me taste. liked other ones much more, like "fraternite" for example, somehow when there´s no dark element to the plot, something feels incomplete. also no big fan a too much femdon, but thats personal preference. edit: wasnt "shocked" by 80% of the sexual acts either, already seen most of them happening in rl, snobs gone wild is by no means pure fiction, as it only depends on how willing the authorities are overlooking them acts

No dark element? Did you read Fraternite? The family had to move to a new town because the older sister got raped, and so depressed she wouldn't leave her room for months. There's a really strong story of bullying in it too, and the girl is forced into having sex through that, and I haven't even gotten that far into it yet. I don't really know how you can say there's no dark elements to Fraternite. Unless I've misunderstood what you're saying...
sanahtlig
XReaper doesn't give much care to his phrasing, but he's saying Fraternite is dark and suggests Starless isn't dark enough.

XReaper
i did mean starless, as its rather focused on the sexual part, than on others likehumantrafficing, murder etc. The way those "abnormalities" are presented throughout the story made me more laugh, than shocked. same goes for most of the bad endings, to be more accurate i did prefer some of them way more over the best one (or others)where you escape, but loose all your bucks to that sneaky whore. felt more angry than when beeing married to futa-oneechan i mean screw morals, when you get offered a huge amount of money & the opportunity to marry into such a family clan. actually i think a least most men would a least consider going straight for it. edit: & sry for my sloppy phrasing, listening to or spaeking too many different languages a day, sure messes up your head

Arrakis
Don't think I can handle this one. Saw some cgs of Starless posted on the JAST release thread, absolutely terrrifying stuff. I completely understood the need for censorship at that point (even though I'm glad they released the patch for users who like this kind of thing). Now I just need to sand that image off the back of my retinas.
Kelebek1
Don't think I can handle this one. Saw some cgs of Starless posted on the JAST release thread, absolutely terrrifying stuff. I completely understood the need for censorship at that point (even though I'm glad they released the patch for users who like this kind of thing). Now I just need to sand that image off the back of my retinas. Why? JAST shouldn't be releasing it if they refuse to do it in full. It's like some company going to dub the Kill Bill movies, but then saying "oh no, we don't like killing or blood, so we're going to take it all out." Then you're left with nothing. You've butchered the main crux of the movies, and on top of that, you've pretty much removed all hope of a full release by someone else (as you had the license, and other people are less likely to bother after it's been done, even if done very badly etc). You can also say it's a disservice to the original work. A lot of people seem to say about translating visual novels; either translate it well, or just don't translate it at all. They say that releasing things like a machine translation, or a translation by someone who doesn't fully understand it (low Japanese skills), is worse than not translating it at all. Why does that not follow for companies who rip a whole load of scenes out? Here's an idea if you don't like it: don't fucking play it. Same goes for companies who won't release the game in full: don't pick up the fucking license. Now I know in this case they was an "un"official patch to restore them (by the way, were they uncensored as well, or still censored ala JP version?), but that's not always the case, and I'm not just talking about Starless here. I think it's pretty acceptable given everything, to hit the roof when companies pick up games and then go and censor them.
sanahtlig
Art restored by the (un)official patch did not have mosaics. Some weird zooming issues did occur as a result of the localization process, which JAST is currently working on fixing. It took fans comparing the Japanese and English versions side-by-side to catch the issue. I completely understood the need for censorship at that point You're implying that content should be sterilized to meet your standards / tastes. That's a message likely to provoke outrage. The content was censored for legal reasons. Never forget that. It's a title about degradation and sexual slavery. It's not supposed to be pleasant.
