  1. Otogelib is an otome game translations text library for all. Visit: https://otogelib.tumblr.com/ This project is made possible by [DC] @viethoagame.com (Hacking and Programming.) How it works: - It's a library of Japanese otome games texts in google sheet format, for you and/or your group to easily edit and translate. - All projects currently don't have any project leader. You can form a team to take the project or just contribute by translating things here and there as a hobby. Sample of a google spreadsheet: Link What makes it special: - All game texts from this library provided in google sheets format, so you can translate on the go with your mobile device. You can also view who are translating what in real-time, no longer to assign a script/scene to somebody, or translating things while afraid there are people working on it already. - You can save revisions and revert changes someone made if it's harmful. - There is a name table that syncs across all sheets, you only need to translate names of the characters once, and it will automatically sync across the whole file. You can: - Translate various Japanese otome games from the fully extracted game scripts provided in Google sheets format. Translate anywhere, anytime with a mobile device. - Freely post your part of the translations onto your blogs/websites. - Step up to take the project leader position for these projects. If you ever completed a project (either by yourself or by a group of people that you lead), you can request me to make a fan translation patch. Join the community and get edit access to the google spreadsheets: Apply as a translator: GoogleFrom Apply as a proofreader: GoogleForm Discord: https://discord.gg/GtGK9ZG Available google spreadsheets: STILL UPDATING, if you want any games to have spreadsheets (idea factory/otomate games only), you can request it And be sure to participate when the sheet you requested become available. 1. 2. Hello, I decided to perhaps try my hand at translation after reading several untranslated VNs. I added the "tl project" and "recruiting" tags, since I hope to turn this into a project. I've tried using various xp3 tools and even GARbro, but there seems to be some encryption I can't figure out. Games made by the same developer before and after this game released do have encryption schemes in GARbro. Could someone lend me a hand at extracting the scripts? Thank you! Oh, and here's a download link for my xp3 file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HSQwMDiMJj96CAAMZCGEQ3SCspKPuARu/view?usp=sharing
  3. Hello, I've recently started to translate Toradora! Portable in French ( https://forums.fuwanovel.net/topic/22082-recruiting-toradora-portable-french-translation/ ) and I need to know how to pack the .so files of the translation into the game. The only thing we found is this compiler on Github : https://github.com/xyzz/taiga-aisaka but we don't have any idea on how to use it ! If someone does please contact me on Discord : 123321mario#1337 or on this forum ! If you know something else on this game that can help us, please let us know !

Hello, recently I discovered the solution to a problem that did not allow me to repackage the .pak files of Discipline, in which the dialogues of the game were found. The question is that in the absence of time I would like to know if the Latin community of the forum would be interested in contributing to be able to translate the VN because it is too long for a single person to finish it, and more if she is busy doing other things such as studying or working . If anyone is interested in participating, just say it and pass the corresponding files and software to be able to translate. Screenshot del proyecto: http://imgbox.com/NNIN3s8h
  6. I'm no translator but I'm looking to expand this project and break its chains out of Hongfire because things are going slow and Full translation with the current team seems impossible so since no one will make this project known i figured Id spread the word. 7. Hello everyone, I am very new to Visual Novel Reader but there is a visual novel I have wanted to play for years and I finally got my hands on a copy. I know there are plenty of others out there who would enjoy it as well and so, seeing as I'm consulting my Japanese dictionary every two seconds anyway, I thought I'd use the 'subtitle' feature in VNR to translate it for people. However I'm not sure how to get it to work properly. Everything is working fine up until the first choice, then it's like the text forgets it needs to branch out and either doesn't appear, or appears at the wrong place. Am I doing something wrong? And is it easier to do the translation via VNR's soft subs? Or would making an entire English patch be better? But I'm very new and not technical at all so while I could do the translation, I have no idea where to even begin with patching it and making sure everything goes in the right place. Please help! :3 animeXalchemist

  9. Since we still didn't have page for this project, I decided to made the thread in regard of HatsuKoi translation. So what's you're comment about this game and the project here. Personally, I think that HatsuKoi was interesting because it's Tone Work VN even though it's quite rough and the translation was quite fine imo. That's all for now and have fun for discussing this project. PS - Hopefully this is not wrong section for discussing this.
  10. Id like to know what route everybody would like to see translated first. Information about progress can be found here Hikari has been selected as the first route to translate
  11. Hello, I don't know if I should write this here... Ehm, the point is... I'd like to extract Honeycomb Bingo Deluxe's and Umisen Yamasen's, both bara novels (Muscular BL), scripts but I'm unable to do so because I don't have enough knowledge. My main problem is the encryption in both of these games. Honeycomb Bingo Deluxe is a 2008 Kirikiri VN with a *.tpm encryption. Whenever I try to extract the files inside, out of 19,193 I always get around 18,500 files. This is done with: KrkrExtract, kiri_sm.exe and GARbro. Most of them are the images. KS files, a few have few lines, but I believe those are for events, rather the main files and the configuration files. Because of the year it was published, I don't think it's the new kirikiriZ engine, so I guess I'm safe from that devil (which I've read is a nuisance). But the encryption. The damn encryption it's nowhere to be found... yet. Basing myself out of this comment made by morkt in May, I believe the encryption for this game is only a filter. And although I've tried to follow his steps on to how to get there, I don't really see any patterns in the HEX viewers... Not even found the Function he talks about in the DLL, using Dependency walker... But it seems easy, or at least that's how he paints it. There's also Marcusacana's posts in LionCash's Github, he removed or at least got the hands on a clean extraction of Nekopara's script. But I haven't contacted him on how he did it. Umisen Yamasen, in the other hand, is a FamousWriter0191 VN. The SDK is lost, I couldn't find anything of it... not even the SDK or manuals... Instead, I found some extraction tools for FamousWriter0310 made by lennylxx for Handsome Academy. When I tried to use them, well, I got hit immediately by a wall. I didn't even knew which way to divide the src.fwd file. And so I asked. Which let me even further. I divided in six parts, and I was able to distinguish the offsets. And I was even able to parse out the voice file list, which got me excited! But when I had to parse the file... Well... nothing good happened. The parse.exe would hang and it'd create a bigger and bigger file. Thinking that maybe I had mistakenly compiled the .cpp, I remembered Hatoful Boyfriend was made in the same engine, and sadly (for me) the same version. So when I tried to run the parse.exe with the trial src.fwd it worked, without problems! (Or it seems, I think the scripts are aren't really complete... But I don't really know, I haven't read Hatoful or Handsome). And now, well, I can't get past this encryption either because even though I know where the scenario file starts... I don't know what's the offset, padding, encryption key, etc. And so, I made this post because I wanted some help. I wanted someone to do it, or help me do it, teach me how to... I even tried reading both of Nakamura's articles about visual novel hacking. But I couldn't really follow it, not even for the simple UmiYama VN. I got to the part of entities, but because the src.fwd file is encrypted I didn't saw anything he did, all I saw was gibberish, and got stuck. I'm still trying, but without a real sense of direction... I don't know what steps to take... That's why I want some help. Thank you for reading.
  12. Yes, it was happening. As for my opinion here, this VN was look quite interesting especially it was came from the same company as Majikoi. Since here we had one dead project here, I thought to just start over with the new thread here. Anyway, just like back at HatsuKoi I'll using this thread to report Tsujidou progress from when the project begin. PS - By the way, here's the news from Tsurezure themselves.
  13. I'm looking for folks to translate some old vanilla nukiges by the (now renamed to Milk Factory) group SQUEEZ. If you are interested in giving these VN's a proper translation, send me a DM or reply in the thread. Lets make the dream come true.
  14. First up, thanks to anyone reading this. I am fairly new to the world of translating VNs, but hopefully this can change soon enough. Now, my problem: I've decide to try and translate Saimin Class wonderful and am trying to get the script which has its own folder in the game files. Inside, there is a .pak file and an .idx file. I have tried mutiple methods so far (quickbms, online-services, 7zip) in order to open the file, but to no avail. Is there something else I need to pay attention to? Is it important that the game uses the EAGLS engine? Like I said, I'm rather new to this, so detailed explenations would be appreciated. Thank you in advance iambobokay
  15. Hello. I'm a new member and this is my first post so I'm extremely sorry if I'm doing something against the guidelines. There's hardly any good yuri eroge visual novels and most people are just stuck with Sono Hana. But here's a VN with not just eroge but actual routes and choices and a plot , to say nothing of the beautiful art but it has remained untranslated since its release several years ago. I had been waiting for someone to come and translate it but I remember reading a while back that there's so few yuri visual novels to go around that any people find gets translated very quickly. So I'm assuming this gem just fell into obscurity after an abandoned translation attempt back in 2014. I figured it'd stay like that unless someone made people notice its existence again so I made this post. Anyone willing to translate Seisai no Resonance? It would be a worthy and very meaningful addition to the fairly short library of yuri visual novels. The few English reviews I could find of Seisai no Resonance are absolutely glowing. I don't mean to sit lazily while others work either. I am very weak in Japanese and have little to no skill with hacking but I'm ready to help in any way I can. Just give me a task and I'll do everything I can to see to it. I'm very good at English and can help with stuff like keeping the writing style, descriptions or dialogue be as beautiful in English as it was in Japanese. If I'm not needed with that, I could try gathering people who are needed with whatever is required. I've been keeping an eye on this VN for quite a while and would hate to see it sunken forever in obscurity. I once again apologize, I know asking for visual novel translations is useless. No translator will dedicate himself/herself to the work if they're not personally interested in it. It requires some serious time and effort after all. But after keeping an eye on this one for so long, I felt I just had to give it a shot, in the hope that perhaps it's just not been translated because people aren't aware it exists. I realize that the visual novel is a niche medium and has few active members in the community, even less so when you focus on a single genre within the already obscure medium, so it's easy for things like SnR to just be forgotten, but I figured it wasn't truly forgotten if even a single person remembered.
  16. Good evening people! I am currently translating Demonbane into portuguese, and unfortunately it uses Shift-Jis in all of the text. And this coding does not accept any of the special characters my language has (ç, á, à, ê, ã, etc). I have already been told I can modify a font to make another character Shift-Jis accepts to look like one of the special ones above. Demonbane also lets me change the font in one of its 'sys' files. Well, the thing is I managed (at least I think I did) to change a few characters to look like the ones I need. I saved the modified font, instaled it and set it in Demonbane configs. But it simply does not work. I used FontForge to do it. Can anyone give me any tips on how to do this? Edit: Oh, I tried changing characters in MS Gothic, the game's original font, and also Meiryo, which is pretty much the same as MS Gothic, but none of them worked.
  17. Good afternoon, my dear VN readers/translators. I am not too cocky to actually call what I am doing a real translation project of sorts, but please bear with me for a few minutes of your time. I am messing around with nss files, containing the scripts for Demonbane, JAST USA version. My mother language is portuguese, and we do have acute accents, cedillas, tildes on top of vogals, and circumflex accents (in order: é, ç, ã, ê). I am no programmer, but I learn fast. While I was able to extract nss files from the nss.npa, change the english text to portuguese, and recompile it back into nss.npa, all these characters simply disappear. Here's an example: Lets say, the word "Operação" becomes just "Operacao" in the game. I am editing the nss files using Notepad++, BTW I believe french has almost all of these special characters, but I am at a loss on what to do to make those characters appear, since I already tried formatting the nss to OEM 863: French, to no avail. Thanks in advance to whoever bothers to anwer this humble thread of mine.
  18. I want to translate Baku Ane, and its sequel. I've been looking for the tools to extract the scripts. Can anybody help me, or give me a general idea of what to do?
  19. Yeah, the main translator from Ate the Moon (Katahane, Ayakashibito) is back and right now he she ask for the help. Or to be specific he she asked for hacker to hack one of untranslated VN (If possible a dedicated one), because he she was about to translate one VN there. The VN in question was Tsukiyori (Or Tsuritou just as the translator said) in which was had translation project here before it's stalled. I'd quite interested with the VN itself, although to tell the truth I didn't had any skill here. Here's the post from the translator himself herself if you curious. Requesting hacking help – Tsuriotsu Hope some hacker from here could help him her if possible, and I hope that it'll be translated in the future. Edit (7/15) - Now that the project was officially started, I decided to change the title to reflect that (Former title 'Request from Ate the Moon Translation').
  20. あるいは恋という名の魔法 - Arui wa Koi to Iu Na no Mahou (Translation Project) ================================================== VNDB - https://vndb.org/v21121 Engine - 2XT - Pencil Adventure Engine (4.5.5.0) [PJADV] Trial Edition Download on Mail Cloud or Getchu ================================================== Hello, guys! I need your help for engine work to paste the text and adapt trial version. I translated the whole demo version (in Russian), and I really don't know how to paste the text. I used arc_conv for extracting data, but it helps only for graphics and music, can't extract the scenario and translated it with separate text file with VNR extracting. I can't find anything on that site about Pencil Adventure Engine (PJADV). Seems like no one to work with that. Can anyone help me with that? Don't want to paste the translation with VNR. That's not good. Thank you very much! I know that trial version includes more that 5000 lines of text, I made a scenario file of that (not included H-scenes). You can download that and check, as a proof. Thanks again!
  21. As seen in the title, I'm planning to translate Golden Marriage, a VN by Ensemble. However, due to my lack of knowledge and experience, I'm looking for any advice for TLs. I've read https://forums.fuwanovel.net/topic/2254-how-to-translate-a-vn/ before, but I would like to see a detailed step-by-step explanation. Golden Marriage uses .arc files(Like If My Heart Had Wings) and I have successfully extracted the files(I think). Extracting Rio.arc gave me what I think is the script. But, I can't comprehend it. Example:・ 往 }MA9 1eI}=II 往 I would greatly appreciate it if anyone can explain. https://vndb.org/v14264
  22. Hello everyone (first post), Recently i found a way to extract the .arc files from Ao no Kanata no Four Rythm. I managed to change script lines from JP to EN, but now i'm having trouble getting the scripts back to its original state. Is there any Tool that can help me? or maybe i'm using this tool incorrectly. I also don't know how to repack to an .arc file. So i would like someone that can answer these questions. used tools: BGIKit: https://github.com/Iriasu/BGIKit arc_unpacker: https://github.com/vn-tools/arc_unpacker Screenshot of the problem of BGIKit Encoder: https://plus.google.com/u/2/photos/photo/118265057851582390751/6426530936915918482?icm=false&authkey=CNaD87qkyfqO3QE Thank you for your answers,
