  1. Greetings from Novel Tea Games! We've been working hard on our Visual Novel and we're very close to finishing our demo. I assure you that you won't be disappointed! While we wish to be as transparent as possible and share as much as we can, we also believe in saving some of the content for a surprise when the demo launches so please forgive me if at any point I seem a little vague about certain story details. View our trailer! Now on Steam Greenlight! What's it about!? Runeous is a Fantasy Adventure with 'Steampunk' elements. The story follows a small group of heroes in a world ravished by the wars of its past. Runestones possessing magical qualities are what fuel the industry, their secrets long ago lost. Humans research them to unlock their hidden potential. Overpopulation in cities built for far fewer inhabitants. Homes built atop homes with giant walkways connecting the various levels together. While there is a whole ton of lore that's been written up for the world, we're waiting until the Demo before releasing it as we wish to make it as presentable as possible for you! (I may be willing to give a sneak peek to individuals who can offer genuine feedback and suggestions) What do we have thus far? Well, we're almost done with the demo! There are just a few elements left to add. - In the interests of transparency, we have had a lot of trouble with music. This is an issue that has been addressed with the addition of a new team member! - 90% of artwork is done and that includes the majority of the 'main' assets. All we have left to do is a few more CGs, NPCs and promotional art! As for the writing we're miles ahead! From lore and main plot points to full episodes written! Meet our team! While I would absolutely love to wait until our staff 'Chibi' images are ready, unfortunately we've just not had enough spare time to get them done with the development going on, therefore I'm just going to have to throw some unattractive links at you! Earl Grey - That's me! I'm the project manager, Community manager and Marketing. I wrote the initial story line and lore, however our writer has taken over writing the Episodes! Chamomile - She's our Lead Character Artist! She also works a lot on promotional items and tidbits! Chai - She's our Lead Background Artist. She also collaborates with Chamo on CGs! Jasneymon - Or 'Jas' for short. She's our 'Support' Artist. Working on things like Objects, items or Chibis for the website. Vanilla - She's our Web Designer! You probably can't tell right now, but a lot of work is going on behind the scenes which will improve the site a bunch Kagoshima - He's another amazing artist, however he's working on something 'Top Secret' right now so unfortunately we can't show you any of his content right now Peppermint - Our latest addition. Peppermint is working on Music! Unfortunately I don't have a link to share with you at the moment. So there we have it. That's our small, yet amazingly wonderful team! ^^ If you would like to find out more about our project, please check out our Website You can now also support us on Patreon! We post monthly Blogs! Thanks for reading! Please do let me know what your thoughts are on our projects! Also please consider taking part in our community forum where you can talk, interact and ask questions with the rest of our team! Mail us any time: [email protected] 02 Sept 2015 NPC Update No character is too small or insignificant to us, especially the small insignificant ones We've finished all but one of the 'NPCs' so everyone who speaks within the demo has a face! We've also made some progress on music. While we're not ready to share it with the public just yet, we do have a small 'sample' of the music quality you might expect: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bylf1W-RKQ-mZmxGcDRMUUp4TW8/view 05 Sept 2015 Update: Narrator Portraits Since even the NPCs are featured in our VN, it's only fair that our wonderful Narrators be see too. Today we introduce our Narrator Portraits! 18 October 2015 Update: Free Game! We have decided to release Runeous as a Free Game! Check out out blog to learn more and how you can help to support us!

  3. Inna is 22 and a social recluse with a most unusual skillset: assassination. Under pressure of changing her ways, she takes on an assignment very different from what's she's accustomed to. Her new job requires her to look out for a 17-year-old girl while she is in college. What sounded like an easy piece of work – with the plus of turning over a new leaf – turns out to be quite the predicament for Inna... in more than one way. This release features 3 complete endings, and 1 ongoing one. Inna Antonova: The protagonist. Inna generally avoids social interactions, save for the ones with her contacts and clients. Contrary to her "cold" professional image, when relaxing at home she could be mistaken for any other regular 22-year-old girl. Lillian Garland: The romantic interest. Lillian is a 17-year-old, outgoing college girl with a stubborn streak that she most likely inherited from her father, a successful lawyer. Samuil Atonov: Inna's adoptive father. Currently in the hospital, his health waning with each passing day. He's the main reason why Inna feels compelled to change her ways. Ray Garland: Lillian's father. A well-known and ambitious lawyer. He's rarely home, but when he is he tries to make up for lost time by spending lavishly on Lillian. Mel: Inna's primary contact for work opportunities. A mysterious, brusque man with a mind for business. He appears to have multiple underground connections. Writing: DarkSin Art: DarkSin Music: Noyemi K Editing: Shadow Programming: DarkSin, Helvetica Standard UI Designing: DarkSin I'll try my best to get the final release out within the next couple of months! But this isn’t the typical Alice in Wonderland styled story! While A Very Important Date takes a few notes from the Carroll classics, you don't have to be a big fan of them to enjoy this game for its rich dialogue, witty humor, and unique art style! Our story follows Alison Sunderlund, an average small town Ohio girl. By day she can be found working as a server in a local café and by night she takes care of her house and family: her dad and younger brother. Though she doesn't have a lot on her plate, the life she has gives her very little free time. But Alison's life changes one morning when she wakes up sitting under a tree in a brand new world. Confused, Alison sets out to discover more about her new surroundings, accidentally stumbling upon the Arkwright estate, home of Gwyn Arkwright and The Looking Glass Café. With no place to go and a way back home seeming impossible, Gwyn, being the kind soul that he is, gives Alison a job and a place to stay for the time being. Everything's peachy except... now Alison must choose which of The Looking Glass' five employees will train her! Will Alison stick with what she knows and remain a server? Will she a cut a new path as a cook's assistant? Will she wipe away her past burdens as a low-level dishwasher? Will Alison ever figure out what strange world she's in? Will she ever return to her old life? Will she want to? All stories* are written by Noëlle Hyzy, the winner of Voltage Inc.'s 4th Annual International Script Writing Contest for Romance Apps. 6. Mother Nature is dead. And the process to find her replacement has gone horribly, horribly wrong. With half of Mother Nature’s power stolen by the outcast, Morcant, the Seasonal Kingdom’s only chance at defeating him is to find the new, true Mother Nature- You. Sucked into their strange world, and thrust onto the throne, you must take on the role of Mother Nature and bring the kingdom back to stability. Morcant’s bid for the Gaia throne threatens to throw both our world and the seasonal one into chaos. Only you can stop him! By building alliances with the Courts of the Four seasons, discovering your powers, you can bring together an army that will rival any seen before. But, you won’t be doing it alone! Whilst the fate of the worlds may sit on your shoulders, there are those who follow you willing to help carry that burden. -- Courting the Seasons is a fantasy, romance visual novel. It came about from the idea of wanting a great story where the romance was a big part of it, instead of feeling like a separate side quest or bonus material. There are no stat-raising or visible romance points/bar in this VN; this was because I hoped for it to feel as though you were thrown into a story rather than playing through a game. The development of relationships and the story will be based much more on how you interact, rather than through building points. I love Bioware games, the feeling of being a hero in a story, but I’ve always enjoyed the romance part of it too. What I wanted to do was have something similar, but where the romance was an integral part of the story, so as it all felt more immersive and fun. For more information or to keep updated, why not check out the links below? Tumblr- http://seraphinitegames.tumblr.com/ Facebook- https://www.facebook.com/SeraphiniteGames Twitter- https://twitter.com/seraphiniteVN Romances - Listen to those around you- Pay attention to the advice of others in order to better influence the rulers and gain the best alliances. Will you gain strong alliances, or weak ones? Will Morcant steal their alliance from under your nose? Or will the ruler give no alliance at all? - Each Ruler is different- Each has their own idea of what makes a good Mother Nature, and they will be judging the way you act and speak in order to decide if you are worthy of their allegiance. - What type of ruler will you be?- The way you choose to handle situations will influence what type of ruler you will become. Will you inspire the people to stand with you? Will the people’s needs always come first? Will you choose to always do the right thing, no matter the consequences? Will you look to others for advice on how to rule? Or will you rule for your own benefit? - Use your power- How will you use your powers to help in what is to come? Choose from 3 power types, each one giving you different options throughout the story. - Romance routes that are as strong as main story- 5 romances to choose from (the 4 envoys, and a secret romance!). Each romance route is unique to the character and weaves into the main story. - Cast of interesting characters- Get to know a whole range of characters, from the Rulers of the Seasonal courts, down to the people who work for you. Decide how you will interact with them; will your personalities clash or compliment? - Pay careful attention- You never know when overhearing idle gossip or having a chit chat with someone may lead to more options down the line. - Your choices affect everything, not just endings- As Mother Nature and ruler, your choices will affect much to do with the upcoming battle, but that is not the only thing it will change. How you act and respond to situations will affect the course of the game, some having consequences early on or may produce something unexpected later! There are many outcomes to the battle ahead, and multiple, varied endings. Why no stat points or romance bar? I found in games with points I tended to focus only on point collecting, rather than playing through as I want (even though I enjoy those games very much!). But in Courting the Seasons I wanted to minimise that and make it feel much more as though you can make a choice based on what you want, rather than what will net you the most points and have fun with the story than worry about building up stats. I haven’t really put in good and bad choices or ‘true’ endings. There are a variety of choices, which aren’t necessarily good or bad, it’s just different ways of handling outcomes, some of which will be approved of by certain people and not by others and vice versa. Each choice won’t just add to a points bar, it will have an effect and consequence in the story, maybe straight away or maybe later on. Why is this VN commercial? Though I would love to give it out for free, I am self-employed and will be focusing full time on this VN. I'm hoping to move into this as my main career path Are there any warnings for this game? There will be descriptions and images of blood and death, as well as non-explicit, but still heavily implied, (consensual) adult situations both in text and images. When and where will this be released? I'm hoping to have the demo released at the same time as the Steam Greenlight campaign, sometime in February 2016, but this could be later. The actual full game has a goal of being released in mid-2016. I am hoping to release it on itch.io, and (fingers crossed) Steam if it gets through Greenlight once I put it up. How much will it be? It will be around $15. How can I get in contact or ask you questions? You can contact me here via PM, or post on this thread. You can also contact me via Tumblr, or email me- [email protected] I'm always happy to hear from people!

  8. Name: Criminal Investigations: With Woman's Tears Genre: Crime/Mystery Status: In Development Platforms: Windows, Mac Linux. iPad, Android and handheld (eg: PS Vita) are also under consideration. Release Model: Commercial. Follow development on Tumblr Follow development on Twitter Follow development on Facebook Synopsis: Do you have what it takes to be a criminal investigator? Take on the role of an FBI Special Agent in this contemporary mystery game where your investigative skills will determine the outcome of the case and the lives of everyone involved. Monmouth, Rhode Island: Fourteen year-old Madison Bradley disappears on her way to school. There are no witnesses, no ransom demands and no sightings. Monmouth PD call on the FBI’s Child Abduction Rapid Deployment team to send one of their best agents to support the investigation. But when a second girl goes missing amid suggestions that both girls frequented an occult-themed website, media speculation is rife that the girls have been abducted by a “Vampire Cult”. Use your investigative skills to navigate through a complex web of truth and lies to find out what really happened to the girls and bring them home safely. Explore the fictional town of Monmouth and uncover the secrets that lie within small town America. Interact with a cast of complex characters, each with their own weaknesses and motivations. Utilize an array of tools and techniques to uncover the truth of Madison’s disappearance Experience a dynamic narrative where your every action has consequences Test your investigative skills against one of the most challenging detective adventures ever created. Discover a world of moral ambiguity, where doing the right thing may not necessarily mean getting justice. Characters Gameplay: The game is going to be a classic visual novel in many respects, but there will also be investigation elements. Your role as an FBI advisor gives you unique oversight of the investigation, allowing you to do as much or as little investigation as you choose. If you just want a relaxing visual novel experience, you can simply observe the Monmouth PD investigation and offer little direct involvement. Alternatively, you can get involved in every aspect of the investigation and try to move the investigation in the direction you see fit. There are 10+ major endings and numerous minor variations but there is no "true ending" or correct answer. It's your investigation. It's up to you to determine what's true and what isn't. It's up to you to decide how justice is best served. All possible endings are available on your first play through, although we would encourage you to play through multiple times to explore other endings and learn more about the characters you meet. Screenshots: Progress: Writing : 10% Programming: 50% Backgrounds: 10% Characters: 5% Audio: Not started We are currently aiming to bring the game to Kickstarter in January 2016. Feedback: All feedback is welcomed (within forum rules). Jobs: We're not currently in need of any assistance, but if you have mad skills in art, writing, or audio design, you're welcome to drop a link to your portfolio. How can you help? The game is still very early in development. The art style for characters and backgrounds is pretty much set. Everything else is still very much up for discussion, and we would love to hear your views, thoughts, opinions and ramblings. We also need as much help as we can get spreading the word. We want feedback early and often and we plan on releasing several demos at various stages of production. The more people we can get feedback from, the better we can make the game. What do you like about the game? What don't you like? What concerns do you have? What features are must-have for you in a visual novel? What would you like to hear from us? We're going to be posting a lot of pictures, discussions and features about the game on Tumblr and Twitter but rather than just posting what we want to say, it would be great to know what you would find interesting.
  9. When the self-consumed, all-American prom queen wannabe Kaitlyn gets sent to China as a punishment, she must navigate the waters of the language, the culture shocks... and the boys. It's a West meets East romantic comedy about some of the pitfalls of living in China and struggling to belong. Kaitlyn in Chinaland is an otome, language learning game.

Join Alice to find the answers of the Universe in this Interactive Adventure/Graphic Novel game set in the present world & a Cyberpunk world. Nostalgia is a hybrid between genres such as Visual Novels and Rpgs. We're trying to do our best to mix both genre in this game. Gameplay heavily inspired of games such as Phoenix Wright, 999/Zero Escape: Virtue Last Reward, Snatcher, and classic RPGs like Mother, and the great stories such as Brave New World book. We want to bring new feels to Adventure / Graphic Games. -Features- Unique Characters from each worlds - Even though you may interact/play with your alter ego, every character is different. Everyone has different moods, ideas and even different weapon types. Beautiful Graphics - We are working extremely hard to bring beautiful, stylized and fully-animated graphics to your screen. Full Interaction - In Nostalgia, you will be able to interact with almost everything, and each object will have its own, unique description. Unexpected Outcomes - We want cliches out, simple as that. Solid true twists, no sugar coating. Decision Making - Each decision has it owns outcome. So re-playability is guarantee -Story- You play as Alice, a 22 years old Chemical Engineering student. Alice was one of the 15 children who were captured when they were born to be used as experimental subjects. She spent 12 years of her life being kept in this facility. None of the children met each other while being kidnapped. All 15 children were released around the world when the project totally failed. This project was called Project Nostalgia. All 15 children were separated and has not seen each other since then. Ten years later, upon leaving her school Alice experiences a side effect of the experiments that were performed on her, momentarily causing her great pain and a sudden state of unconsciousness. In her dreams, Alice sees herself locked in a room, with no escape. Alice is being told she has 10 minutes to escape or else, she would die. The game talks about the Multi-Universe theory, each Nostalgia features a heavy, deep and cruel story. There's Violence, Murder, Heavy language, and strong references. This is a game aimed to 16+. -Characters- Both worlds Alices! Please, I'd like to hear your honest opinion so far. This is a professional game, for both PC & Console. A few question that I'd to ask: -So far, are you happy with the graphics? Yes/No? Why? -If we ever release a Kickstarter, you think you would support it? Why? -The game is a Visual Novel, however we're implementing puzzles zones (just like VLR/999) and a 1v1 battle system (complementary to the story). How does this make you feel? -There is high violence, nudes, murder. Would you still like to play it? -As we before, we're doing our best to bring full interactive experience. This mean, most of the object will have some form of interactivity. Do you think this will affect the way you play/read Visual Novels? Thank you so much, and have a good day!
  12. Genre:Adventure, Investigative, Management, and psychological Visual Novel Platforms:PC, Mac, Linux, PS4 Languages:English (Fully Voiced), English (Text) Visual Style: DreamWorks style graphics mixed with dark and mythological themes. Progress:~20% of the game completed. (20 hour game) Estimated release:~Summer 2017 “Whether friend or tyrant, I will become a King!" Welcome to the Rift, a dimensional tear located in Canaan where the ancient gods were created and where you must prove your worthiness to lead the world of men. You have allies and the training needed to fight, but nothing will prepare you for the wonders and horrors of the unstable plains in the Rift. Manage Respect, Relationships, and Mental will when making decisions. Assigning team members to missions best suited for them. Discovering weaknesses to epic enemies through investigations. Collecting real world lore and in game lore by discovering hidden items. Unlocking secrets of the past by collecting memory gems. Making timed decisions and avoiding damage in high intensity situations. Leveling up your characters to specialize in unique skills. Time In the game, everything will cost time to complete and characters may be away, unable to do a task available. Time is managed by the player and he has 6 months to prepare to face Nun. Special events will happen at certain times such as full moon cycles, changing of season, etc. This will give the player a level of management that makes them feel immersed. Leveling Each character has core stats which helps them succeed in feats. Completing certain missions and training will gain you very limited talent points to specialize your character in lore friendly ways. Respect You are a leader. You must earn the respect of your soldiers! Decisions you make and the success of those decisions will affect the confidence your allies have in you. If you fail a lot, they will lose confidence and go rogue during critical decisions. You may even lose command. A true Pharaoh never loses command… Kinship While how successful you are in decision making and your sense in the field affects the way they see you, it does not help one bit on how they think of you as a person. In order to get on their good side, you must appeal to their innate personalities. One cannot please everyone so make your choices wisely. It is worth noting that Kinship affects how allies act when not around you or when not commanded. Stability You are the strongest. Unfortunately, you are also the most flawed… You have an issue with Dementia and you must suppress these voices throughout your time in the Rift. The tradeoff is considerable though because when you were young, and you let the voices run wild, you could do things others could only dream of. In these dark days, will you allow your mind to slip in order to wield more power or will you avoid such pleasures and rely on knowledge of self? The rift has stood for thousands of years, since the day Nun arrived from the planet Nibiru. Located in the barren lands of Canaan, this void was created to keep the outside world uncontaminated while Nun worked on his creations. He spent centuries studying the humans and when he figured out this world, he created ancients similar to the life found on his home planet. They warred with each other inside the Rift until only 3 families remained. When they left the Rift, Nun used a stability gem to alter reality and hide the incomprehensible damage done. But now, thousands of years since the great sundering, Nun has created another race of beings to combat his creations from ions past. In order for them to prove themselves, they must survive the Rift, as it were during the time of the ancients. Stability is no more! Can the mortals survive the Trials of the Rift? There are many different types of quests in Black Sands. We will briefly go through some of them to better understand the gameplay mechanics involved in each. In Black Sands, time, health, and deployment all work against you as you stride to prepare yourself for the final battle with Nun. Scouting - designed to seek new quests exclusively. Minimal danger Investigation - A quest that requires discipline and perception. Player must decipher material and decide what is important and not. Proper investigation rewards secrets. Tracking - This is an extremely heavy skill check category that requires quick decision making and a little luck. These missions are available only once before they go back into the quest pool. Social - This is a quest where you develop relationships with the other characters and learn more about them. Instant Events - Automatically happen when certain criteria are met. May have nothing to do with prior tasks. Group Events - The entire group must participate. Nun will go over your notes and inspect your facility whenever this happens. Epic Events - Storyline Events that are either triggered by actions or chose by the player. These tend to have more decision making then other events. Exploration - A quest designed to explore unknown locations. These quests have no prior knowledge so player must use their wits to move forward. The farther you get, the better the rewards. These missions can be ended at any time but there is no guarantee you can return. This game is directly inspired by Dragon Age and Telltale. Their strong narratives and crucial game changing decisions inspired me to design a visual novel unlike any before it. Additional motivation was found in the way Hollywood depicts middle eastern and Saharan people. We do a lot of research and use annotations in game to teach the actual history behind the fantasy of our world. Future We will be converting all sprites to Live2d and making them look a bit more realistic and 20x more brutal. The goal is to make this like Conan while having the art leveling of pixar, dreamworks. How can I help? Follow us on facebook, Cosplay our characters, Share the hell out of this, and Pay homage to the gods by buying some of our merchandise. Don’t forget to sign up for the newsletter and remember, Nun sees all. We have these posters and more. You can support us while getting something tangible that will uplift both you and your families. 13. Character Trailer Hey everyone! My name is Joy and I'm the director of Spherical Studios, an Indie Game Company just starting out. Our first game is a Visual Novel by the name Wingdaria Destiny. We have a brand new demo right here! It's about 30 min long and gives a good feel for the game. Our Visual Novel is currently running on Kickstarter - The Kingdom of Wingdaria - In a medieval world where technology has only just recently seen the light of day and where no miracles can be created from hands; each and every person has to work hard for their daily bread. Sadly, the kingdom is moving into an economic crisis and the people of Wingdaria fear the worst is still to come. However, rumors say that if the princess of Wingdaria marries the prince of Rosenheim, the nation will prosper once again. Hope still remains, for the kingdom and its people, but will their wish come true? - Plot - Evan, the protagonist of our story, is a young man, who felt little purpose in life, as he lost his sight due to a terrible fate. Although recently, he has found hope again, as he has developed feelings for the lovely Princess Aria, who was kindhearted enough to save him from the streets of Arkenwall. Undoubtedly, they have become quite close, but an arranged marriage between Princess Aria and the Prince of Rosenheim will tear the couple apart. Can they escape their fate and reach the freedom they so wish for? We would really appreciate if you'd help us out and maybe spread the word a bit if you know someone who could be interested in supporting us. For more art and additional information, please visit our home page! Thanks for your attention. Kind regards A.M. Joy J.
  14. "Life is a game of luck and chance. You win some, you lose some. But what do you do when the whole universe is against you? Some people say if you wish upon a star, your dreams will come true. One thing is often forgotten though. A nightmare is also a dream." -Neil Doune Hello! I am Rok Abiel, and as of right now, I am the Character artist, CG artist, Animator, Story writer, Script writer, and Programmer for Galaktika Gamble. I've almost 7 years working on the story, and I've been working on making it a VN for about half a year now. As of right now, the only other people working with me are voice actors, and an awesome musician(Amajor). Auditions for voice acting are over for now, although another casting call may pop up later in the future for the second visual novel. Basic Plot Neil Doune could easily be labeled the most unlucky man in the world. He see's life as one big game of luck and chance, knowing that at anything could happen at any moment, with any choice he makes, any move he makes, or even any word he speaks. Followed constantly by death, the world is literally trying to kill him off and he doesn't know why. He's escaped many natural disasters and other deadly situations, but just barely, causing other people to die in his place. During his childhood, his mother went missing and his twin sister was murdered shortly after. However, no one was able to find his sister's killer. As for Neil's father, he never met him or heard anything about him, and everyone he's known never talked about him either. After another deadly event, leading to the death of a mother and child, Neil yells at the sky in anger. He yells that he wishes to figure out what happened to his family and how it connects to his deadly situations. By accident, he summons a Stellar named Alhena, claiming to be there to help him obtain his wish. However, Neil and Alhena, along with Neil's best friend Ivan and more friends they make along the way, soon realize there are a lot of dark secrets hidden from them, and things are a lot more serious than they realized. Stellar Info I don't have all character sprites drawn yet, but I'll add a short description about physical appearance too. That said, moving on.~ Characters Neil Doune Age: 21 Hair: Straight, brown, upper/mid-back length Eyes: Black pupil, yellow irises Often appears to be a jerk to new people he meets, but he's actually quite nice on the inside. He acts cold and standoff-ish because he's afraid of new people becoming involved with him, afraid that more innocent people will die. He would love to have more friends and be around them, but he thinks that being a jerk and hurting someone's feelings to keep them away is better than that person dying. Neil does enjoy to be with those close to him though, but lives in fear that he'll see them die. Neil also enjoys a little humor from time to time but often leans towards sarcasm and pranks, which just make him appear to be even more of a mean guy. Though he's a bit socially awkward, he does truly care for people and will listen to them if they come to him to vent. He's been picked on before due to his name(Pronounced like "kneel down"), his long "Jesus" hair, and slightly feminine features. However, he's gotten so used to it that it doesn't really bother him anymore. Ivan Voronkov Age: 21 Hair: Curly/wavy black hair Eyes: Black pupil, blue irises Ivan has known Neil for as long as they could remember, and has been with Neil every step of the way. Somehow he's survived living around Neil for so long, he's learned to laugh at situations if it just involves him and Neil without any injuries. However, Ivan is a very anxious character, and though he attempts to keep his anxiety hidden, Sometimes he fails miserably. Even so, he's a loyal friend. Ivan enjoys video games, anime, the internet, and technology in general. During his free time, he's usually playing a game, watching online videos, or posting on his blog. He also has a fairly decent knowledge on astronomy due to his activity in the astronomy club back in high school. This proves him to be fairly useful when Stellars begin appearing in their lives. Ivan is very kind at heart, and naturally would prefer to not hurt anybody. Ivan also sees a "shadow" throughout the story, causing him to question his sanity. Alhena, "Gamma Geminorum" Age: ??? Stellar type: White star - Gemini Hair: Ankle-length, braided white hair Eyes: Gray pupil, light white-gray eyes Alhena is the Stellar summoned by Neil. She usually has a fairly bubbly personality, loves making people smile, and has a strange obsession with macaroni and cheese and bells. However, this does not mean that she's all about fun and games though. She gets frustrated easily, and can become quite intimidating if pushed to that level. She used to go by the name Almeisan, but due to specific reasons(spoilers), she started going by Alhena. She is completely dedicated to seeing Neil's wish fulfilled that she is willing to turn against her own kind for his sake. Kion Takemoto Age: 19 Hair: Black(natural), purple(dyed), pink(dyed), and green(dyed). Eyes: Black pupil, brown irises Kion is a fun-loving guy, known to be the "life of the party". Unlike Neil, he summoned his Stellar(Which he calls "Narki"), at the very young age of 7 with the wish of being rich and famous. Continuing to follow that wish, he found his love for music and decided to attempt the path of a rock star. Kion is often refered to as a crazy kid with childish dreams, but he doesn't care what others say. Though he appears to be a complete spaz and full of comedic relief, he has a few secrets of his own. He can make a very good leader if put in that position, but prefers to be the follower from laziness. After he meets Neil, Alhena, and Ivan, he talks with his Stellar and they decide to help Neil with his situation. Shurnarkabtishashutu, "Zeta Tauri" (Narki) Age: 22,500,000 (Estimated) Stellar-type: Blue star - Taurus Hair: Long, blue ponytail Eyes: Blue pupils, light blue irises Narki takes life quite seriously. Because of this, she often treats Kion like a kid even though he's 19. She doesn't care much about what happens to people in general, but she does care about Kion's view on things. Though she is serious, she doesn't mind a good joke every once in awhile, and absolutely loves food. She finds Alhena's "happy acting" to be annoying, and has a mutual respect for Antares. She's one of the stronger Stellars in Neil's main group. Antares, "Alpha Scorpii" Age:12,000,000(Estimated) Stellar-type: Red star - Scorpio Hair: Red, layered, bottom layer in low ponytail Eyes: Red pupils, light red irises Antares first appears to kill Neil. This leaves everyone in confusion and fear, causing them to question what's really going on, as a Stellar would never harm a human for no reason. However, he was just following orders. After a lot of thinking, he decides to change his mind and help Neil instead(Even though Neil absolutely refuses to trust him). His decision may(or may not) be influenced by his guilt, and the fact that he's reaching near the end of his life anyway. Kullat Nunu, "Eta Piscium" Age: Stellar-type: Yellow star - Pisces Hair: Blonde, curly pigtails Eyes: Dark yellow pupils, yellow irises Kullat Nunu is Alhena's best friend, who eventually makes an appearance and joins the group in their search for answers. She's a little bit of a derp and does really weird things, but no one seems to mind as long as it isn't harmful. However, Neil notices that Nunu has blonde hair and yellow eyes(similar to his dead twin sister), and doesn't talk with her often because of this. Sadalmelik, "Alpha Aquarii" Age:53,000,000(Estimated) Stellar-type: Yellow star - Aquarius Hair: Blonde, somewhat messy Eyes: Dark yellow pupil, yellow iris Sadalmelik is a mysterious Stellar that joins Neil's group after hearing "rumors" about a Human-Stellar war starting over Neil's wish. He barely talks and is a tad bit socially awkward when he's around Neil, but his only interest seems to be training Neil to make him stronger. For awhile this makes Neil quite angry, but eventually he realizes that Sadalmelik is actually very helpful to him. Sadalmelik knows answers to many secrets involving Neil's situation, but doesn't reveal them to the group for specific reasons(Partially his own fear, along with thinking it might keep Neil safe). Though Sadalmelik appears to be completely emotionless and stone-cold on the exterior, it's actually quite the opposite on the inside. Shaula, "Lambda Scorpii" Age:??? Stellar-type: Blue star - Scorpio Hair: Blue, long and short Eyes: Blue pupils, light blue irises Another Stellar that shows up to kill Neil, bringing other Stellars with her for backup after hearing he has a few Stellars protecting him. Kion absolutely falls in love with Shaula's appearance, despite her being an enemy. Of course, that's the type of reaction Shaula enjoys, because "love-struck" enemies are fairly easy to defeat. Kyna Doune Hair: Brown, length varies Eyes: Black pupils, brown irises Kyna is Neil's mother, who went missing when he was 8 years old. Neil loved her very much, so he's naturally upset by her disappearance. She's an odd mix of traits. She likes being lazy and staying indoors, but she also enjoys going outside to play basketball if people challenge her. Her children mean everything to her, and she's very protective over them. She's very introverted, but she doesn't mind hanging out with close friends. Sally Doune Hair: Short, blonde Eyes: Black pupils, yellow irises Neil's twin sister, murdered shortly after their mother went missing(By shortly, I mean like within 24 hours after the disappearance). In a few flashbacks, she's shown to be a little bit sassy, but polite to elders. She spent most of her days playing with Neil and Ivan, and leaned a little towards the tomboy side instead of girly girl. She was also Ivan's childhood crush. There are more characters, but I can't really reveal them without revealing who is behind all the attacks. Therefore, I'll stop it there for now. If you're very curious though, more characters are listed in the casting call for auditions. I'll update the character section again once I get specific sprites done for those that are missing theirs at the moment. Visual Novel Features Multiple endings, including Good, Bad, True, Chaotic, "Too Early", and a hidden ending. CGs and Animated cutscenes Battle System(Hopefully with isometric elevation maps and attacks unique to each character if I'm able to figure out how to program it.) Progress Sprites- 25% Backgrounds- 5% CG's- 10% Animation- 10% Writing- 95% Coding- 20% Music - ??% Here's a screenshot! I do plan on changing that text box though. -Extra Questions- 1. Does the story sound interesting? 2. Is my art okay? Do you like it? 3. Which character seems interesting to you so far, if any? 4. Would you be interested in playing this game even though it isn't a dating sim kind of game?(I know being a dating sim isn't a requirement, but I know a large amount of visual novels are so I didn't know if it would have an effect on whether people want to play) Sorry if this post is too lengthy.
  15. Purrfectly Ever After is an original English language visual novel (OELVN) for girls. This dating sim is filled with side-splitting comedy, over-the-top drama, and of course, heart-melting romance. This first game from Weeev aims to bridge the gap between Japanese-centric otome games told in a not-so-Japanese point of view and storyline. Purrfectly Ever After focuses on a food-loving burglar cat who gets herself into a series of unfortunate events which ended up feeling sorry for herself. Luckily for her, she also encounters kind strangers who rescue her along the way. She wished that she could become a human so that she could earn food honestly. Her wish is overheard by a fairy godfather she didn’t even know she had. And so begins her story. 16. Our Kickstarter is now live! Please, check it out! The Kickstarter has ended, thanks for your support! The Demo for our game is released! We hope you'll enjoy it~ Hi everyone! I'm one of the members of an English VN project that's been going on for a while, and with our demo coming out hoooopefully next week, I wanted to go ahead and post about it here! (You might also recognize me from the other project I work on, the yuri VN Starlight Vega). My team is called AlienWorks, and our game is called The Human Reignition Project, and it's a bishoujo VN with some sci-fi elements. You play as a guy called Ken, who attends a lecture on "The impacts of technology on society," which is just what it sounds like. See, in our setting, communication between people is almost entirely digital. Text messages, instant messaging, or even phone calls; the element of face-to-face interaction is mostly gone. A lot of jobs have vanished, too, being replaced by more efficient robots that don't need a salary. Kojo, the guy organizing the lecture, comes from an older generation, and while he knows his little group isn't going to change the world, he'd at least like to try to change a couple lives. So far it all sounds pretty slice-of-life, I know, but there are some action-y, thriller-y elements that come into play later on. Can't spoil those quite yet though. What we wanted to do was create a bishoujo game with the romance focus that we all love without setting our game in a school. Yeah, there are a couple similar elements to, say, Grisaia or what have you, but for the most part we've tried to steer clear of a lot of the plot and character tropes native to the genre. That said, the game will still include 18+ content in the form of H-scenes. Real quick, I just wanted to mention a couple quick notes about the game. First off, like I said, our demo for the game should be out soon. Like, very soon. It's probably 90% done right now. The demo is all of our Act 1, which is about 30 scenes and I think somewhere around 40,000 words? We're going to launch it at the same time as a Kickstarter for our game. I know, I know, another VN on Kickstarter. Because we work with such talented artists though, we need the funding (we're talking a few hundred dollars per CG). Of course, you'll be able to play the demo without pledging money to the KS. Once the demo's done, we'll be putting in on Steam Greenlight. We're published and also somewhat funded by Sekai Project, so you'll see it under their name, not ours. Same for the Kickstarter. At the moment, I'm not entirely sure what the final price of the game will be, but I do know that if you pledge for a digital copy on KS, it'll be cheaper than buying the game off Steam. No other pre-order bonuses though; sorry CoD fans. Finally, most of us are gonna be at Anime Expo. I'll be at Sekai Project's table in the vendor hall for a lot of the time, and I might be at their panel, too. We're going to be selling a few prints done by our artists, as well as one guest piece by Doomfest. Here are previews for a couple of those: If you're interested in following along more with the game, you can follow me on twitter @Raithfyre or the team @AlienworksDev (though I also run that, heh). Also, our website is reignitionproject.com, and we post major news to blogs there. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy our game~ Just below, you can check out the character cards for our six heroines, and get an idea of what they're like. Yukino best girl, though.
  17. Hi there! It's been a while, I come back with my new project, a visual novel series named (weirdly named) Dragon and Weed: Origins. First of all, please note that English is not my first language, the VN scripts has been translated and we'll hire a professionnal and native proofreader, as soon as we succed our Kickstarter campaign. DWO is based on the original eponymous comics which was released in 2009 and have 77 chapters. It is a three-season series that mixes comedy, epic action and adventure: Season 1: OutBreak Season 2: The Fallen Season 3: Nemesis Faction We are currently working on the first season that is made of 5 volumes (~50 episodes). In this season, Dray and Lushian two young soldier who, having completed the extremely difficult military and spiritual program “Professional Assassins” will join an ancient secret organization. In OutBreak, events mainly take place in the organization training center where the trainee and instructors will have to face the unusual temper of our two protagonists. Features: - 1080p/Full HD Max resolution - Epic Action/ Adventure story - Fully voiced - Full color traditional and animated CGs - Awesome Original Soundtrack - Bonus and Hidden scenes The series will be available first for Windows, in English and French languages. World of Dragon and Weed: We're in 2053, few years ago, the world was ruled by war, conflicts and a conglomerate that manipulated it. Right now, political entities are trying to keep a fragile peace, the United-Nations of Europe (also called United-States of Europe), the Africa's Joint-Nations Alliance (AJNA) and the Diplomatic Alliance of the Asian Pentagon (DAAP) are the most influential. Characters: Here are the main characters of Season 1's Volume 1 - Alexander 'Dragon' Drayzaai: He is a lazy guy, a pervert and womaniser who enjoys driving the people around him crazy. In addition he has that Chibi personnality that makes him more childish, although he can sometimes be serious. - Lushian 'Weed' Nicolier: Lushian is really clever and professionnal person that can be touched by hardly anything. He's that cool guy who seems to be bored by everyone and who has lost his faith in humanity. Lushian have a limited trust: he would trust his life in a very small circle of friends, Alexander being one of them. - Rose: Former member of a private police force, she's now a lieutenant of the European Army (UNECA) as excellent that she hold a captain position by ruling a whole section. She know Dragon and Weed for a while and have a very conflictual relationship with them. - Amanda Hidejirō: Amanda is a scientist who have been kidnapped by a terrorist group. She's not custom to field work. - Benjamin Denarg: Also know as Colonel Quasar, he's a hi-ranked officer in a shadowy ancestral secret organization. Oh and is as perverted as Dragon. - Mobius: He's a Commando trainee of the Organization, a little too sure of himself. - Lucifer: She's also a Commando trainee of the Organization, cold tempered, she try her best not to kill Dragon. - Theodore Gregson-Mitchell: Lieutenant-General of the UNECA, he's a former intelligence officer of a powerful private army. Cold, merciless and result focused, he's linked to an other secret organization. - Galindo-Gomez: Known for being a sadist, he's the captain of the actual most powerful private army, the Favelas Brothers PMC. Screens: Conclusion: The Season 1 is currently on Kickstarter and Greenlight so if you like the project, please support us. A short demo will be available in few weeks, meanwhile, you can watch the Volume 1's teaser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4y3ODSdrA4 Follow OG-ZONE on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
  18. Walkerman is an Adventure Game/Visual Novel about hunting supernatural creatures. These creatures follow rules similar to old folk tales about vampires and garlic, or werewolves and silver bullets; rules that must be exploited to defeat them. Each act of Walkerman centers on a creature and the process of investigating it. Players will study the monster in order to ascertain its weaknesses, gather the necessary items, and then confront it in battle. Combat takes place on an isometric, pseudo-board game in which the player selects actions from a list of options. These battle sequences have multiple solutions, depending on the player's collected items and their knowledge of the monster. Players also steer the protagonist through his personal life in a similar fashion: deciding whom to trust, where to borrow money, etc which alters how the story progresses. We've released the Steam page for Walkerman: Click Here We are also on itch.io: https://scalemail.itch.io/walkerman We also have a twitter at: https://twitter.com/Scalemail_Vox And our game is also available at our main website: http://www.scalemail.com/ And here is our vndb entry: https://vndb.org/v16907
  19. Project Introduction Hello there. Here is my first ever VN project/ I have been working on a story of mine for about a year and recently decided to get involved seriously about it. I have been working on several parts of the project, being a director, developer, scenarist, writer & game designer at the same time. I like it though. The team has been working a lot since we got together & we're lacking a GUI designer. We're planning on advertising our project at Japan Expo in Paris (3 to 5 of July), and we are working on a promotional video for it. "In a world where nuclear energy has the upper hand in everything and the sky has been obstructed by pollution, a part of humanity still hopes in finding happiness. As the country is being cracked between the military forces of the police and the mafia, a new social class is born. Neo Aristocrats, as they call themselves, pretend that the current reality exists only because of humanity's love for evolution and consumption. Imprisoned in gigantic cities made solely for themselves, they keep refusing reality and focus their whole life on studying ancestral traditions and cultures. Ethan, an average yet shrewd Neo Aristo student, lives a happy but unnaturally repetitive life with his friends. Weeks pass with no change. Everything gets overwhelmed when he meets the likes of Alice, a beautiful yet mysterious girl. Ethan will learn that his life has never been what he thought it was and will eventually discover the true face of it." 20. What is Chloe? Chloe is a point and click horror game with puzzle elements. A dark story about family, choice, and consequences. Featuring a non-linear story and exploring family life without secrets. It's based on Y;N, another visual novel styled horror game, taking the point and click elements from it and also partly based on Those without Names as the main character explores her past. "Chloe is trapped in her own home, and what starts out as a way to find a key to get out soon turns sinister as she realises something -or someone- is out to get her. Will she get out safely and find out the mystery? Or will she be consumed by the past? That is up to you." Join them in an adventure on the barren lands filled with myths, nature, and love. #Update: Our demo is out now! Check it out: Windows Mac Linux Hi everyone. It is our first project and we have just launched a campaign on kickstarter to fund the game. Check it out: Click here for kickstarter! It's also on Steam Greenlight if it piques your interest. Click here for Steam Greenlight! After my trip to Iceland I have always wanted to write something about it, and I believe visual novels are a great platform that can aid the text with wonderful visuals and sound. It is going to be a 2-hour game with around 10 backgrounds. Instead of trying to incorporate every highschool niche character, this visual novel will focus on the interaction between the protagonist and one female character. We hope you would like her. Here are some screenshots. Our progress so far: Script: 35% Sprites: 100% CG Art : 10% Background Art: 30% Programming 35% Music: 30% We have a dev blog for updates: http://purinproductions.blogspot.com As well as a facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/purinproductions I want to give a big thanks to all those who have helped me, especially Jackalico, Lexyvil, and Luna Chai who are also in fuwa. Also thanks to Eclipsed for moving this to ongoing projects.
  22. THE NEXUS PROJECT Hello everyone! I checked in with you just a little while as a writer looking for projects to work on. Somehow I stumbled my way into an accomplished programmer and designer named Helvetica Standard who is currently working on the famed OELVN Violet Hill. We got to talking and came up with an idea for a visual novel. A project of sorts. One we believe has a lot of potential. The Nexus Project tells the story of Keiji Nakamura, a childhood prodigy. He learns at an extremely fast rate and his prowess with technology is second to none. But you wouldn’t know that by just looking at him. All he does is sit around on his computer all day, doing nothing. His parents, thinking that he's wasting his potential, transfer him to a prestigious boarding school. Thinking he's finally got some peace and quiet after a stressful move, a cyber terrorist cell codenamed 'The Nexus' begins to attack the people of Japan. Keiji, being one of the only people in the world who knows how to stop them, has to make a choice to either sit there and possibly let his world plunge into darkness or take a stand against this threat and realize his destiny. So far we have two people on the project that will be sticking with it the whole way through. Sammeh: The one and only. I will be the project leader and the head writer for the VN. I am more than willing to hear all ideas when it comes to story as I wish this to be a collaborative project. I have been writing for eleven years and have received numerous awards and have been approached by different publications during that time. Helvetica Standard: The master programmer. He designed the logos for this game and studio that you see in this thread and he will be doing the entirety of the design. He’s currently heading up an OELVN project of his own called Violet Hill and has a lot of experience in the field, having been programming for two years and has been designing the entirety of his working life. Genre: Thriller, mystery, and romance. It takes place mainly in a highschool in the present day. Why did we start this project?: Honestly, I just love visual novels, so I put out a casting call and Helv was the first person to answer seriously. After that I found he was very serious about the project and obviously so am I so we clicked immediately as a team. We want to contribute to the industry as another OELVN that makes its mark. Is it free?: It’s free. While its overall length and the work put into it might indicate otherwise, we will be releasing the project as free. Length/Scope of the Project: The project will be a massive undertaking for this team. We are aiming for a story that will be 35+ hours in length with five routes and a couple bonus routes. The writing for the story is not even close to being final or finished, but this is the plan thus far. What We’re Looking For: Anything, honestly. However, particularly, the one thing we need most of all is an artist. Unfortunately, until we actually have an artist on the project with a decent amount of skill and can make the commitment of working on a VN we can’t really move forward with development. This means any CG/BG artist is welcome. This is a top priority at the moment, to find an artist. What we also need is a composer for the project, Q.C., and editors. Contact Information: The easiest way to reach us is through the following outlets. Email: [email protected] Skype: Weskron Fuwanovel: Sammeh or Helvetica Standard LemmaSoft: Sammeh So in essence we are in dire need of an artist, BG or CG, and we can use anything else at the moment right now. Please contact us if you wish to know more.
