  1. On life - An introduction: 'Life' is a visual novel created by Rain Dog Studios, which revolves around a young man as he struggles to keep up with life. Does he do that which is expected of him, or follow his dreams? As he further wrestles with these questions, he begins to question the world around him, the people in it, and his own memories. What is his life? What has he done with it? These are questions we all face, but which is scarier, the lies we tell ourselves, or the truth? Origins: 'Life' is an adaption of a series of unreleased novels. The story has been rewritten into a script that adheres better to the visual novel medium. Currently there is a projected 40 plus hours of game play in the various routes. Choice: 'Life' is not a story, life is a world, one which I want to share with you. This world is my dream, one which brings restless nights, and spontaneous shivers. Your choices will have consequences and effect the world around you, the answers are never straight black or white, and perhaps you will never truly understand the weight of your decisions. Understand however, the choice is always yours. Your choices will lead you down multiple paths as you interact with the world and those around you. Each of these characters have their own personalities and goals as deep as your own. Screenshots: Character Artist: Ainoyū Background Artist: Allen Lim Current Progress: Trial version: Alpha Full game: Common-route coded. Thank you for allowing me to share with you my dream.

  4. DOWNLOAD PROLOGUE HERE http://www.mediafire.com/download/as5br ... 283%29.zip Hello everyone! This is an attempt at making a fangame based on the Fate/Stay Night VN and the Fate franchise in general within the Nasuverse. We are a very small team working on this right now, consisting of three people of which two are helping on story only. Most of the coding, writing and art has been left to me. While I can handle it, any aid would be greatly appreciated. Hey, even if you're not interested in helping, your opinion on our main plot would be extremely helpful! Background story behind the project Now this is quite important because it might be a major dealbreaker for most in the western Fate fandom. The original idea for this game/story came from really wanting to see some Arturia/Gilgamesh interaction with Gilgamesh's personality being like it was during life and not messed up due to humanity being messed up during the time he was summoned. Gilgamesh being like he was in Fate/Extra CCC. We wanted to create a scenario that would fit into canon and would allow us to explore the dynamics between both characters, their personalities and their backstories. Of course, we don't want to romanticize it. We are fully aware of how problematic their relationship is due to Fate/Stay Night- we want to take all of this into account- but going further into the exploration of their relationship. Now that that has been taken out of the way, this is obviously not a fanwork solely made to have Gil and Arturia interact, we created a plot that would allow us to explore and create many other characters beyond that. We want to explore the stories of servants in the three first holy grail wars, their lives and legends. Plot During the events of the Fifth Holy Grail War, Ilyasviel von Einzbern, as the embodiment of the Holy Grail, sacrificed herself to close the pathway opened by a corrupted grail. The Greater Grail was destroyed, bringing the ritual of Fuyuki to a conclusion. However, the Grail had been in place for far too long, it held far too much concentrated magical energy; the sudden dismantlement of such a structure, which after 200 years, had almost become a natural part in the mana flow within the region, was bound to fail. The ritual ended, yet the mangled structure slowly begun to regenerate. After a couple decades had passed, the Magic Association began to become increasingly more desperate to reach Akasha. They turned their eyes to the previous ritual held in Fuyuki - and sought to recreate it. The Magic Association took their own path, straying from the knowledge of the three founding families. With the complete eradication of the Makiri/Matou line after Fifth War and the Tohsaka family head, Rin, refusing to help in any way with the recreation of the ritual, the Magic Association followed their own crooked path. The Association’s mixture of stubbornness and desperation led them to take a dangerous shortcut in their new establishment. Due to lack of planification and information, the site where the mangled grail stood was revisited and used as the centre for the newly established ritual. This reestablished Greater Grail was a source of great instability - forcing it to work like a properly built structure ignited the unstable magical energy engulfing it, resulted in the opening of a leak into Akasha. The leak led to the creation of a spiritual reality - a massive reality marble - a realm of spirits and magic with no physical manifestation, close to The Root. This realm, much like Akasha, is a place based on energy and magic, holding no connection to Gaia whatsoever. It is a place brimming with an aura of unfulfilled wishes, hatred and despair. Being influenced by the guidelines of the Grail War, the leak into Akasha serves as a way of summoning Heroic Spirits recorded within the Throne of Heroes. Due not being connected to the world in any direct way, true heroic spirits are summoned rather than emanations, as there is no need to worry for inconsistencies within the world in a spiritual realm. Similarly, the souls of magi are forcibly summoned into this realm to take part as "masters". -Except there is no Holy Grail to fight for. There is no point to the summoning. Any human with at least one working magic circuit is eligible for being summoned into this realm. Their soul will escape their body, leaving it in a coma like state. This results in many inexperienced and confused magi trapped in the place. A magus with enough magic circuits and great skill should be good enough to handle themselves and even be able to communicate with the outside world - but those with poor circuits are bound to get their minds twisted by the place, going so far into believing there actually is an omnipotent wishing granting device to fight for. While Heroic Spirits have no reason to fight each other, magi who find themselves in the realm need to fight for the existence of their soul. Upon the magic association noticing the great swirl of mana at the moment of the summoning of a master, they were able to investigate the potential of the leak in terms of reaching Akasha, and would continue to seek the exploitation of the system. If a soul - let it be heroic spirit or magus - is to perish within the realm, it will be collected by the faulty grail. The more souls the grail collects, the more power it gains to open a proper route into Akasha. Even if one does not wish to reach Akasha - they will still have to fight in order to survive against the vile attacks of the members of the Magic Association. Besides, if one wishes to escape the realm and return to Gaia, they will have to see the war through to the end. Characters ARTURIA PENDRAGON Voiced by: Adoxographist Better known as Arthur Pendragon or King Arthur, usually regarded as a male in history. She is Britain's "Once and Future King" reigning in Avalon until the day she'd be needed once more - or so was recorded in history. In reality, King Arthur was frozen on her deathbed, where she made a contract with the world. The contract stated that she would not die until she acquired the Holy Grail, which would serve as a way of amending her reign- erasing her existence in order to save her country. Despite having unlimited chances to acquire the Holy Grail, her failures in the Fourth and Fifth grail wars of Fuyuki have weighted heavily on her mind. She continues to struggle with herself, while seeking a self-destructive ideal. GILGAMESH Voiced by: Jon Bullock Mankind’s oldest hero, humanity’s first king. Despotic, arrogant and selfish. Gilgamesh was born with immense power, not being fully divine nor human, with his field of vision reaching extents which not even the gods were capable of fully comprehending. His power resulted in great isolation, but his strength of self kept him from abandoning his kingship or fleeing from the mission imposed upon him. He favoured isolation as he believed that by having chosen the path of a king he had to advance through it alone. Enkidu, Gilgamesh’s friend and companion was the sole exception to this rule. Gilgamesh is a guardian of humanity, yet he did not take upon this role by sheltering mankind. Instead, he sees himself as an observer, an adjudicator and sentencer of men. He alone bears all the burdens of humanity, of sin. He has accepted this as his role. JANE BASKERVILLE. Voiced by: Trina Deuhart Jane is a magus trapped within the reality marble, Apophenia. She was born within a minor magi bloodline from Wales specialized in the creation of puppet familiars and automata. Despite great potential and strong magic circuits, Jane seldom practices magic, as she has no control over her own mana, resulting in harmful bursts of power dangerous for both herself and those around her. Upon encountering each other, she forms a contract with Saber class servant Arturia Pendragon. Jane has a great interest on the new world that has appeared before her, and seeks to explore it to her heart’s content rather than focusing on escaping or fighting other servants and masters. ALLEN SAPIENTI CORTEZ. Due to being the son of an important archeologist, Allen has travelled across the world all of his life. He is well versed in different cultures and is very passionate about learning about myths, legends and stories from everywhere he has visited. He has some magic circuits within his body, passed on from his mother. However, as he never did live with her, he was never trained to be a magus. He is summoned to Apophenia and paired up with Gilgamesh. Allen is enthralled with the Gate of Babylon and all the different weapons within it. Despite his lack of talent at magic, he can easily identify different heroic spirits. 6. Four years after the Motherworm’s death, a masked AI known as Program X is threatening to throw cyberspace back into chaos. With virus numbers back on the rise, the unhacker decides to open Smash Security once more. This time, a new AI named Neonya is there to battle by his side. Victory should be guaranteed with a superior AI like Neonya, but with signs of malfunction showing, the risk of her going rogue is ever present. She merely wishes to be accepted as her company’s official AI, yet the unhacker finds himself unable to crown her. After all, doing so will mean dethroning his former companions, the ones he still thinks about to this day. But there is one thing that terrifies the unhacker above all else—why do Program X and her minions look so much like friends from a distant past? Hello people! I still remember sharing Unhack 1 with everyone here back when Fuwanovel was new. Some of the folks from back then are now my closest mates on social media. You know who you are. Thank you for always supporting me through the years. A few months after I closed off Unhack 1, the idea for this second game had in fact already crossed my mind. I held off on production to avoid sequelitis, and to tell the truth, I wanted to keep people waiting for a bit as well. I feel like now is a good time to at last unveil this project. Unhack 2 will have no gameplay like the first title did. I tried so many times to blend story with gameplay, and despite my best effort, the results were only average. Some of you who are kindly following me already know I am moving away from gameplay in general. With that said, Unhack 2 will feature password puzzles that will at times require players to break out of the 4th wall. For instance, there might be a passcode hidden on Unhack 2's webpage. These puzzles can be skipped for those who prefer to focus on the narrative. Here is the game's website: http://unhack2.invertmouse.com There is a demo build available, so please feel free to have a look: And as always, I could use your support on Steam Greenlight: Thank you so much everyone!
  7. Hello guys! Our first VN, The Butterfly and the Apple Tree, is a short fable about a magic apple tree that was not happy with who it was. It is a short linear story you can complete in no more than 5 minutes. You can play the HTML version here (Firefox or Chrome recommended) Butterfly & Apple Tree If you're having problems with your browser you can download a windows version here: Butterfly & Apple Tree (windows) I used Tyranobuilder because it is the easiest program to use and I like the 2DLive support which I'm trying to learn for our next project. Cheers!

The only clue he has is an unfinished entry in his uncle's notes about a mysterious cathedral in the middle of the sprawling Dead Plains... When he arrives at the cathedral, Kymil has no idea what he's searching for or where to go. But something in him presses him forward, and he's determined to figure out the cathedral's secrets, no matter how dire the cost. 13. We at Retro Sumus are currently developing Ameba, a detective adventure in the form of a western-made, western-set visual novel. The story takes place in Madrid, Spain, as the main character is a veteran senior officer from the Policía Nacional. Here is the teaser trailer for the project: And here is our first interview with SegaZine last year showing some character sketches... http://retrosumus.com/2014/11/our-first-interview-character-designs-revealed/ ...and our second interview, with the Dreamcast Junkyard, where we showed the first screenshots of both Ameba and Xenocider, our 3D on-rails shooter also in development (nothing to do with VN's at all). http://retrosumus.com/2015/06/ameba-xenocider-screenshots-interview-dc-junkyard/ We have been sharing our progress (on both projects currently in development) in a series of videos we call the Dev Diaries: Also, we showed our first very early demo a few days ago at RetroBarcelona, the biggest indie/retro event here in Spain. Not a great video but, for now... So, why the Dreamcast, a 15+ year old console? Well, we're developing the game for PC as well as Dreamcast and Saturn This is my second thread here so I hope I'm doing this right! 14. A Visual Novel set in Space. Fulfill your duty. Fall in love. Betray your friends. Get murdered by an A.I. Welcome aboard the Everett. OVERVIEW Quantum Suicide by Cotton Candy Cyanide is inspired by story-driven Japanese Visual Novels such as Danganronpa, and the Virtues Last Reward series. In Quantum Suicide, you play as a researcher aboard a spaceship on an epic mission to find humanity a new home. You have the ability to choose your name and gender, a choice that can change your destiny from the very beginning. Quantum Suicide contains 6 courtable options (3 females, 3 males). With their own hopes, desires, personalities, and sexual preferences, you will have to move carefully to earn each character's affections. Each courtable character has at least three posed sprites, each with multiple facial expressions. In addition, all characters are partially voiced by professional Japanese voice actors. Boasting over 50+ hours of gameplay, you must navigate your way through over 30 different endings, including bad, good, and true endings for all courtable options. Each week, you are thrown into The Deletion Game where you must battle for your survival through a series of puzzles and strategy mini-games as you attempt to see the Everett's mission through to the end...alive. Quantum Suicide is a commercial game scheduled for sale on Steam late 2017. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cccn/quantum-suicide-a-visual-novel-in-space-kill-or-be http://www.mediafire.com/download/7x9xbsqzhjgsscs/QuantumSuicide-all.zip http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=556943619 STORY The year is now 2117. You are a second generation ship-born researcher studying inter-dimensional travel. Your choices change the fortunes of all aboard the Everett. Friendship and love lay waiting at your feet, but you should be wary. The road to the stars is full of hardship. A malprogrammed A.I. dedicated to preserving resources pulls you into a twisted, murderous game. When tensions are high, who knows what even the kindest crew member will do? How will you protect those you love? Will you betray friends to save yourself? Will you be slaughtered in cold, empty space? Will you slaughter? It's time to ask yourself: what would you do to survive? CHARACTER ART Quantum Suicide's lead artist is Ygor Lisboa aka Danzzila. We were drawn to him for his wonderful, expressive Japanese style and he is responsible for our character design, sprites, and CG art. Each main character has three poses, with three expressions per pose. Supporting characters currently only have one pose, with multiple expressions. BACKGROUND ART Ah, background art. You are hardly given the credit you deserve but as soon as you are lacking, it becomes apparent. The interior of the Everett was designed with a sparse, military practicality in mind, but we also wanted it to be atmospheric and vivid enough to be visually interesting for the player. To get the best art, you have to go to the best artist so we went to background extraordinaire, Owen Carson. The scenes capture the beauty of the ship, the wonder of space, and the eerieness of a closed circuit situation. With at least 20 variations for the background to date (with plans for a few extra for the few game), the Everett will come alive, even if you don't stay that way! GRAPHIC USER INTERFACE Our Game User Interface (GUI) is designed to be intuitive, and add to the overall science fiction tone of the game. Further screens such as CG Gallery, Music Player, Mini-Games, Archive Files, and Bonus Content are to be added as the game is created. The Quantum Suicide Logo and the GUI were designed by the talented Luna Chai Li. MUSIC What would intergenerational space travel be without a great soundtrack? Quiet. No one wants quiet. Quiet is scary, and cold, and sad. To ensure that your travels among the stars is not a quiet affair, we've had a soundtrack lovingly crafted by our talented musicians. We've been lucky enough to be given permission to use the song 変異個体-ГЕNЕ- by SEVERUS WAND for our atmospheric trailer currently in production but we also have a complete Original Soundtrack by Wojciech Wojnowski. ABOUT US Cotton Candy Cyanide (CCCN-) is made up of two people: Ashley Pearson (Nyx) and Tina Richards (MoltenCherry). We often go by our gamer tags. We created CCCN- to create games that we, ourselves, wanted to play. Both of us greatly enjoy games such as Dangan Ronpa, Virtue's Last Reward, and Persona; games that challenge us, make us fall in love with characters, and then break our hearts. Unfortunately, we found these sorts of titles scarce in the Western gaming market. While Steam has been exploding with visual novels recently, we wanted to create something a little darker than a slice of life, romantic novel. We've got 'Cyanide' in our name for a reason. WHY ARE WE POSTING ON FUWANOVEL There are a multitude of reasons that we are posting on the Fuwanovel Forums. Firstly, we are hoping that by posting here we might gain some support from people as passionate about Visual Novels as we are. As many of you know, creating a game isn't always rainbows and butterflies. We find it really comforting to know that we have a community behind us. Secondly, we've put a lot of money, and time, and love into Quantum Suicide. This is our first project and we are trying our very hardest to make Quantum Suicide the highest quality product possible. Now that we are approaching the end of our initial 'concept' phase, we are simply bursting at the seams with excitement to share our project with you! If you are interested, it would truly mean the world to us if you would back us on Kickstarter or upvote us on Steam Greenlight. And finally, if you would like to stay up to date with the progress of Quantum Suicide, please follow us on Facebook and Twitter.
  15. Since we're approaching the deadline of our Kickstarter (6 days left!), we thought we'd share about our background process. That's right. We'll walk you through and through as to how our dedicated, talented artists spend sweat, blood and tears into breathing a magnificent BG art into The Letter. Don't feel too bad; it's actually their pleasure! [:D] The Letter's Background Process 2D Thumbnails We start off by planning our background composition and layout with thumbnail sketches. For the Ermengarde Mansion parlour, our lead artist (Eko) drew four quick sketches for us to choose from, putting only the larger objects that will be present in the scene. We decided to go with the fourth one for our next step. 3D Layout After picking a thumbnail to work from, our background artist (Czar) will now start layouting the scene in 3D. While we can certainly manually draw the scene line by line, using a 3D program to construct the scene helps speed up the process and allows us to easily add smaller objects to enhance the atmosphere. In this case, we added the wine table, candelabras, vase, and a clock to fill the empty space! Now that the basic layout is done, we now move on to the lineart! Lineart This is a pretty straightforward process: From our 3D program we now switch to Photoshop and start drawing our lineart based on the scene we created! We also modified parts of the lineart such as the window and the door, and drew it consistently with the design style of our mansion. Smaller details are also drawn manually such as the embellishments on the tables. Flat Colors Next we start planning our colors! Since our mansion is mostly consisted of warm colors, we decided go with the same ambience (notice how in the image the walls were originally supposed to be of a green color?). Once that is done, we can now finally start rendering the whole background! Rendering This is the process that took the most time in the entire background drawing process. Here we start to paint everything in the scene and slowly bring it to a detailed finish that is still consistent with the other backgrounds’ style! (Those patterns on the walls are actually made from our background artist’s sketch of Saitama from One-Punch Man! Cool, huh?) Lighting Many hours and three cups of coffee later, we can now add the lighting and make final adjustments to the illustration. Final Adjustments Lastly, we make adjustments to the whole picture to keep colors harmonious and bring out certain parts of the picture. Congratulations, you now have your background! What do you think? If you have any criticisms or suggestions, please feel free to comment them down below!

Download the Beta Demo via Itch.io | Beta Demo Patch Notes | Beta Demo Survey The Letter's Beta Demo (V0.2.0) is finally ready for public consumption! Thank you so much for patiently waiting, and we sincerely hope you'll enjoy the game! The beta demo is a testament to what we've been doing these past couple of months, and we're proud of how much the game has evolved since its alpha phase. This is more or less how the final game is going to look/feel like, and covers the same scenes as alpha. Except for that, every element from the first demo was changed. Beta is now feature complete, but we're continuously enhancing every aspect of the game in preparation for the full release. Please take note that not everything you'll see in this demo is final. After you finish playing the game, please answer this short survey we've prepared. We value your feedback, so please don't hesitate to tell us what you think! We'll use the data gathered to further improve the game. And as a token of our appreciation, all survey respondents will receive a special wallpaper! Questions about this new demo: 1. Do you like it? Hate it? 2. What do you think of the characters currently presented? Do you have someone you like in particular? 3. What do you think of the art style? 4. How do you find the writing style compared to the alpha demo? 5. Any other suggestions, comments, critiques? Thanks so much for your time!
  18. Hello. Its Manuel from Black Sands. I am looking for feedback regarding our new sprite models for Rah and Nun. We are developing a new demo during our KickStarter campaign and wish for community input a long the way. Here are the sprite rough sketches Be Critical. Thanks!
  19. Summary/Plot Sickness is a Visual Novel following the life of Koro, a high school student turned violent criminal. Following the deaths of his parents, Koro is left without a home or source of income. All he has is his twin sister, Sara, who he promises to provide for, even if doing so means throwing his life away. Using the entirety of their savings, the two move to another city, wherein Koro quickly finds work. Sara commutes to her old school, Koro works long, physically-demanding hours, and the two survive off instant food, barely scraping by. It isn't a happy life, but they make it work. Or at least they did, until a violent outburst set into motion a rapid descent. Amid a physical altercation with his boss, Koro blacks out, waking up to find a corpse laying at his feet. His knuckles bloody, his muscles aching, he realizes that he has just murdered his boss, the person responsible for his continued well-being. But rather than lament the loss of life, all Koro can think of is how badly he needed the money, and what he'll do next to get it. Drawn by the scent of blood, one of Koro's coworkers, a young man with criminal connections, offers him a not so legal revenue stream, one encouraging violent behavior and rewarding the capable. And from there, everything spirals out of control. As it turns out, Koro has a knack for crime, and the petty reservations he had about such acts don't last long. For the well-being of his sister, as well as his own self-interest, he becomes a killer for hire, taking out people anybody his new boss tells him to. He quickly adapts to life as a killer, adopting a double life his sister can never know about. But his new life is not without trouble. Facing death on a weekly basis is only the beginning; between avoiding police detection, eyewitnesses, and even the malice of his fellow professional killers, Koro's new life looks to be the death of him. Will Koro manage to survive long enough to keep his promise to his sister? Will he turn tail and escape from this life of crime, finding solace in the company of someone or something else? Or will he be hunted down and killed before he ever gets the chance? Main Characters Sara Tesla - Koro's twin sister Sara is a high school student who harbors complex feelings. To her brother, Sara is an angelic sister with a loving nature and endless affection; an image she cultivates and builds on daily. To everyone else, however, Sara is narcissistic and thoroughly two-faced. Family aside, Sara doesn't care for other people in the slightest, and as a result of her desperately trying to hide this fact, her family mistakenly believe Sara to be bipolar. Karasu - An up and coming crimelord Karasu builds his wealth through a variety of "services", including, but not limited to, gambling, corporate espionage, and organ trafficking. Above all, however, Karasu is most famous for providing "waste disposal" for neighboring towns, whether they request his services or not. His ultimate goal is to build an empire he can share with his beloved "children"; interesting individuals he has taken under his wing and granted a new lease on life. Though many view him as a sadistic narcissist who will stop at nothing to obtain what he wants, Karasu is ultimately a simple businessman who displays affection only for a chosen few. Sai - Karasu's right-hand man Sai is Karasu's most trusted and capable employee, responsible for overseeing his most lucrative business ventures, despite always working in the shadows. He is also responsible for “breaking in” new recruits, and as such becomes Koro's teacher. Unrivaled in what he does, Sai is a ruthless killer who feels no remorse; those who get on his bad side seldom live long enough to realize it. The only things more important to Sai than his work are his daughter's well-being and happiness. Misa - Sai's daughter Misa is a teenage girl who wishes for a normal life. Being the daughter of a professional killer (and protective father), however, Misa has trained from a young age in order to protect herself from the dangers of the world, and in doing so inevitably became aware of her father's line of work. As her father's work absorbed her life, Misa adapted her skillset to match those of a killer, using her youth and small figure to become the youngest and most discreet killer among her peers. Outside of work, Misa is still just a young girl. She's very friendly, once she warms up to someone, and is protective of those close to her. 22. Hello! I'm Viridea, and I also use the name, Viridea Productions just to refer to every project I will work on in the future! I'm working on an original series called, Viridescent Dragon, and it's a kinetic visual novel that is divided into individual chapters. Download it on Gamejolt and itch.io: Gamejolt: http://gamejolt.com/games/viridescent-dragon-chapter-1/92223 itch.io: http://veedragon.itch.io/viridescent-dragon-chapter-1 indiedb: http://www.indiedb.com/games/viridescent-dragon-chapter-1 Hey guys! This is my first Kinetic Visual Novel, called Viridescent Dragon. It's about 50 minutes long if you autoplay the text. I originally had an earlier version of this game called "Charlit Chapter 1" But I updated that game and renamed it to Viridescent Dragon Chapter 1. Yes, this novel is gonna be in chapters as you can see. Here is some info about the game: After waking up in a forest, meet Charlotte, the smack-talking, amnesic dragon girl who travels with her friends on a quest to regain her memories... Who is she and where did she really come from? The journey won't be easy, as she will have to conquer many obstacles and find out the hidden truths about the world she travels through, the friends she makes, the reigning monarchs, and the deities that are worshiped... This is the first of many humorous and drama-filled chapters to come. Press the "A" key to Auto play the text. This game is in 1920 x 1080 resolution, in window mode and full screen mode. Sorry, Windows only. Unless you can find a way to play .exe files on something else. Also, be careful, as the game can crash when you close it, as Novelty, the program I used to create this game, is still in its Beta stages. Be sure to save often, just in case. This is the main reason I consider this game, "unstable". My name is David, and I’m one of the writers for the visual novel A+ Switch. (You may have also seen me stalking around the Fuwa forums) Also, forgive me if this isn't the place for recruitment. I'm still unsure how the Creative Corner works, exactly. What we're looking for: A+ Switch is still in the very early stages of development, so we are in search of writers who are able to assist in creation of the characters’ backstories, routes, world lore, and overall plot—we are always open to new and interesting ideas that can help better the story. We believe that writing is the fundamental core that dictates all other aspects of visual novel creation. That being said, we are hoping to find individuals who are as passionate about storytelling as we are. Synopsis: A+ Switch tells the story of Kouhei and his struggle to cope with his younger sister Iori’s fatal illness. With Iori’s condition only worsening by the day, Kouhei wishes to do something special for her before the last autumn leaf falls. Obsessed with accomplishing his goal, he completely disregards his own deteriorating health; his nights are plagued by dread of his sister’s death, his appetite gradually wanes from the lack of sleep, and social interaction at school becomes a chore. Concerned about his state of mind, Kouhei’s school counselor advises—or rather, “forces”—that he visit her office regularly for psychological evaluations. It’s during one of these sessions that she recommends he be tutored by a selected group of upperclassmen to prevent him from falling behind in his studies while he deals with his issues. With not much room to argue, Kouhei halfheartedly agrees. He begins to realize, however, that the people around have their own fair share of problems, and that life may just be one big test to try and solve them. How will Kouhei fare? Title Screen Concept by Piichimi A+ Switch Opening Song (Produced by Outbreak, Sagisapon, and Geiky) https://soundcloud.com/davidaacosta-1/outbreak-shuuren-autumn-love-ft-sagisapon-geiky/s-grMbH Genre: A+ Switch will be a mix of Comedy, Slice of Life, Drama, and Romance. The visual novel also contains some adult themes. Some basic requirements of becoming a writer: ~ A good communicator who actively seeks participation in development or just random group chatter. (Communication is key with projects). It’s also encouraged to have Skype. You can find the program here: http://www.skype.com/en/download-skype/skype-for-computer/ ~ Being open-minded to new ideas and concepts. ~ Promptness and good time management to work on a regular basis. ~ An excerpt of previous work. ~ Willing to volunteer for free, as our project is a non-commercial visual novel. ~ Has fun. (The most important, I say) We do hope our project is able to interest you enough to apply for a writing position. If so, please feel free to send me a private message or leave a post down below. I’ll be sure to respond as soon as possible. Thank you so much for reading our request! We look forward to having the chance to work with you.
