  1. PLOT Once upon a time, in a fairytale land, a beautiful ethereal being watched over the living beings that inhabited this realm. Some referred to her as a goddess, others as mother nature. One thing was certain about this being; she cared for and nurtured this world. The creatures that had the most potential for greatness were the elves. They were elegant, tall, blonde, magical, and intelligent. She saw these beings that lived docile lives of blandness. It hurt her to see such wonderful creature neglecting their full potential. She wanted to add some diversity to help them. She borrowed the essence of six other species and spread them through the elves to create the six elemental races of elves. Simply put, light, dark, earth, air, water, and fire. It worked for a short time until disagreement turned into argument, and argument turned into fighting. Prejudice spread and the ethereal being cried for her children. To rectify her mistake, she split her soul, she took a piece of it and created an infant with the essence of light and dark. And then she split her heart to create a charm to watch over the child and sent the beacon of hope down to her people. The stress of this act of love put her into a deep slumber. The elves rejoiced at the blessing and welcomed each other’s differences until a prophecy spoke of salvation or destruction, caused by this mixed child. CHARACTERS MAIN CHARACTER Syphethia She is the main character and is a light elf. She is very kind and caring but can be misunderstood and when angered, she can be quite explosive. She is quite quirky as well and tends to be very different from other light elves. She is rambunctious, rebellious, free spirited, and very curious. Not exactly what you would expect from a perfect princess BACHELORS Kita He is a light elf and the princess's fiance. He is very strange and is always disappearing after receiving a mysterious call. He doesn't seem very nice and is incredible smug. He seems to have some sort of disdain for the princess but always tries to hide it behind a fake smile. He smiles often but it never seems to be authentic. He is shrouded in mystery. Korra He is a waiter at one of the light elf restaurants. He is very kind and social and seems to always be there when this princess is in a bind. His signature facial expression is his big cheesy smile. He has a big secret though. Which would explain his unusual appearance. He also seems to genuinely care for the princess and loves her quirks. He loves having fun and can sometimes be a bit if a flirt. Darc He is a dark elf who is fierce and strong. He may sound rude through his voice and actions but he really is a caring person deep down. Not that he'll ever admit to it. He is a bi r of a tsundere lol. His tongue is sharp but his touch is always gentle. There seems to be a strange connection between him and the princess. He also can not leave someone in trouble. He will complain about it but can't stop himself from helping. Fira He is a hot headed fire elf. He is always full of energy and any little comment could set him off but he would never leave a friend behind or let them get hurt. His emotions are very big in every direction. He feels things a lot more than others. Sadness, anger, joy. All of them go to the extreme. But so does his passion for the people he cares about. Loud and wild, he can be quite a handful. Tessa He is a calm and calculating water elf. He is mature and tends to correct people which makes him seem smug and arrogant which was never his real intention. In actuality he is very caring, just misunderstood for the way he shows it. He has a hard time expressing his feelings or anything else that doesn't involve logic. He tends to say the wrong things often and it comes off in a way he didn't intend it to. He is very good at hiding his emotions as well. Nova He is a free spirited air elf. He is quite eccentric and a bit air headed. Its always hard to understand what he's thinking. He is also extremely shy and easily embarrassed. He is very quite but seems to have a very active mind. Always lost in thought. Though seemingly shy and docile, he is very dependable when it comes down to the important issues. He may prefer peace but will protect those he cares for with his life. EXTRAS Queen Alura She is Syphethia's mother, The queen. She is a quiet and submissive woman. She seems to always be worried about something but will not express her worries. She is always kind and gentle to Syphethia though. King Varin He is Syphethia's Father, the king. He is a dominant, commanding man. He is very controlling and aggressive. He is very secretive and doesn't stand for being disobeyed. Hardly seems to genuinely care for the princess. Dina She is the sister of Darc who is even more violent than her brother. She is flirtatious and has a fiery attitude but still love her brother dearly whether she shows it or not. Though she is violent, she doesn't get angry often. Her violence is how she has fun. She jokes around a lot and can be very sexual at times. Her favorite pass time is teasing her brother. Tierra She is a cute and adorable young girl. She is a half breed mixed with a air elf and a water elf. she is a little ball of energy and loves to have fun. She also cares very deeply about the people she comes to trust. The White World was a voluntary project that people worked on in their spare time, between studying and serving the country. DO MIND THIS: Granted we didn't make it very Japanese but Otaku references exist to expose and reflect it's genre. This is the very first version of the VN and so it is the result of the project as it ended. So indeed some things could go better but I can promise you we did it whole heartedly and with almost zero budget (the only budget went into hosting it). Still, please look at it as a finished product with it's own level of authenticity rather then some budgeted project.   6. Hello all! I am currently in the process of making my first visual novel! Introduction "You and six teenagers are involved in horrible accidents. You are found unconscious, but you seem to wake up in a new realm. The ones there call it the Drift. From there, you have to find a way to escape the Drift alive. There are creatures that dwell there called phantoms. With each person having a "talent," this shouldn't be too hard of a task, right? Wrong. The Drift is a dangerous realm with illusions to trick the mind. With danger lurking in every shadow, who can you trust? Are they your friends or foes?" The main character is unisex, so either gender can play and choose their own route, love choice, and more! Characters Liam Valter: Liam is known as, "The scrawn." He is easily defined by his skittish and fearful personality. Liam usually keeps to himself, making him very observant. He is also the strategist, the brains, and the planner in the group. His talent of timed invisibility helps him observe and plan even better. At the age of 17, one would think that he would be a little more.. well-put-together in his scared side. However, Liam's fearful personality has helped the group make hard decisions during fights, incidents, and events in the drift. He is usually seen wearing a white v-neck shirt with blue jeans. He has a pair of glasses that always remains on his face, as he is rendered useless without them. Josh Farrier: Josh is the leader of the group. He had been in the Drift for the longest time of the seven teenagers. His given talent upon arrival was foresight and mind-reading which can prove useful in most situations. His personality is definitely a more rough-sided person. He often compares himself to a wolf - he protects his pack, fights those who dare to stand up to him, and fights when needed. An opposite of Liam hints that the two don't necessarily get along. Liam uses his head to figure out situations, while Josh uses his fists. Josh is known for his black shirt marked with a silver omega symbol. Katlyn Stone: Katlyn is seen around Josh. She was taken under his wing when she arrived in the Drift. He had saved her from a pack of "phantoms," the beasts that lurk in the Drift's plains. Katlyn now owes him her life, so she sticks by him in thick and thin to ensure that she is available for service when needed. She usually calms Josh down and persuades him to listen to the other people in the group. Often, the other group members question if the two are an item, but every time they deny. Daniel Bosner: Daniel is the flirt of the group. He decides to flirt with anyone and anything that is a female. This leads to him being overly confident in the sense that he finds himself, "able to get any girl." Despite this personality, he is one of the best members. His "given talent" is to see into the darkness, and use the shadows. He can sneak through the plains like a spy and guard the group's den. The shadows alert him of an enemy or threat, so his senses are extremely useful. Jarid Ryder: Jarid, or also known as "J," works with Liam as the strategist. In a close tie to Liam, he is known as the second-brain. Whenever Liam is on a supply run, Jarid is in charge of planning escape routes if a phantom rampages through the den. If one does reveal itself, he is able to use his talent to become one of them - he's a shapeshifter. As long as he's seen the creature, he is able to become one. This is extremely handy in battle situations as he can ward off predators by shifting into a creature of immense size and power. Marie Santar: Marie has a special feature about her. She has multiple-personality disorder - she has two different sides. One of which is a calm, loving girl.. While the other, is much less than that. Her "demonic" side is much more violent. She usually goes into a rampage. Her left eye turns red when this activates. This is a positive and a negative - in battle it works well. In other times, it can cause pain and tension in the den. This is an attempt at making a fangame based on the Fate/Stay Night VN and the Fate franchise in general within the Nasuverse. We are a very small team working on this right now, consisting of three people of which two are helping on story only. Most of the coding, writing and art has been left to me. While I can handle it, any aid would be greatly appreciated. Hey, even if you're not interested in helping, your opinion on our main plot would be extremely helpful! Background story behind the project Now this is quite important because it might be a major dealbreaker for most in the western Fate fandom. The original idea for this game/story came from really wanting to see some Arturia/Gilgamesh interaction with Gilgamesh's personality being like it was during life and not messed up due to humanity being messed up during the time he was summoned. Gilgamesh being like he was in Fate/Extra CCC. We wanted to create a scenario that would fit into canon and would allow us to explore the dynamics between both characters, their personalities and their backstories. Of course, we don't want to romanticize it. We are fully aware of how problematic their relationship is due to Fate/Stay Night- we want to take all of this into account- but going further into the exploration of their relationship. Now that that has been taken out of the way, this is obviously not a fanwork solely made to have Gil and Arturia interact, we created a plot that would allow us to explore and create many other characters beyond that. We want to explore the stories of servants in the three first holy grail wars, their lives and legends. Plot During the events of the Fifth Holy Grail War, Ilyasviel von Einzbern, as the embodiment of the Holy Grail, sacrificed herself to close the pathway opened by a corrupted grail. The Greater Grail was destroyed, bringing the ritual of Fuyuki to a conclusion. However, the Grail had been in place for far too long, it held far too much concentrated magical energy; the sudden dismantlement of such a structure, which after 200 years, had almost become a natural part in the mana flow within the region, was bound to fail. The ritual ended, yet the mangled structure slowly begun to regenerate. After a couple decades had passed, the Magic Association began to become increasingly more desperate to reach Akasha. They turned their eyes to the previous ritual held in Fuyuki - and sought to recreate it. The Magic Association took their own path, straying from the knowledge of the three founding families. With the complete eradication of the Makiri/Matou line after Fifth War and the Tohsaka family head, Rin, refusing to help in any way with the recreation of the ritual, the Magic Association followed their own crooked path. The Association’s mixture of stubbornness and desperation led them to take a dangerous shortcut in their new establishment. Due to lack of planification and information, the site where the mangled grail stood was revisited and used as the centre for the newly established ritual. This reestablished Greater Grail was a source of great instability - forcing it to work like a properly built structure ignited the unstable magical energy engulfing it, resulted in the opening of a leak into Akasha. The leak led to the creation of a spiritual reality - a massive reality marble - a realm of spirits and magic with no physical manifestation, close to The Root. This realm, much like Akasha, is a place based on energy and magic, holding no connection to Gaia whatsoever. It is a place brimming with an aura of unfulfilled wishes, hatred and despair. Being influenced by the guidelines of the Grail War, the leak into Akasha serves as a way of summoning Heroic Spirits recorded within the Throne of Heroes. Due not being connected to the world in any direct way, true heroic spirits are summoned rather than emanations, as there is no need to worry for inconsistencies within the world in a spiritual realm. Similarly, the souls of magi are forcibly summoned into this realm to take part as "masters". -Except there is no Holy Grail to fight for. There is no point to the summoning. Any human with at least one working magic circuit is eligible for being summoned into this realm. Their soul will escape their body, leaving it in a coma like state. This results in many inexperienced and confused magi trapped in the place. A magus with enough magic circuits and great skill should be good enough to handle themselves and even be able to communicate with the outside world - but those with poor circuits are bound to get their minds twisted by the place, going so far into believing there actually is an omnipotent wishing granting device to fight for. While Heroic Spirits have no reason to fight each other, magi who find themselves in the realm need to fight for the existence of their soul. Upon the magic association noticing the great swirl of mana at the moment of the summoning of a master, they were able to investigate the potential of the leak in terms of reaching Akasha, and would continue to seek the exploitation of the system. If a soul - let it be heroic spirit or magus - is to perish within the realm, it will be collected by the faulty grail. The more souls the grail collects, the more power it gains to open a proper route into Akasha. Even if one does not wish to reach Akasha - they will still have to fight in order to survive against the vile attacks of the members of the Magic Association. Besides, if one wishes to escape the realm and return to Gaia, they will have to see the war through to the end. Characters ARTURIA PENDRAGON Voiced by: Adoxographist Better known as Arthur Pendragon or King Arthur, usually regarded as a male in history. She is Britain's "Once and Future King" reigning in Avalon until the day she'd be needed once more - or so was recorded in history. In reality, King Arthur was frozen on her deathbed, where she made a contract with the world.The contract stated that she would not die until she acquired the Holy Grail, which would serve as a way of amending her reign- erasing her existence in order to save her country. Despite having unlimited chances to acquire the Holy Grail, her failures in the Fourth and Fifth grail wars of Fuyuki have weighted heavily on her mind. She continues to struggle with herself, while seeking a self-destructive ideal. GILGAMESH Voiced by: Jon Bullock Mankind’s oldest hero, humanity’s first king. Despotic, arrogant and selfish. Gilgamesh was born with immense power, not being fully divine nor human, with his field of vision reaching extents which not even the gods were capable of fully comprehending. His power resulted in great isolation, but his strength of self kept him from abandoning his kingship or fleeing from the mission imposed upon him. He favoured isolation as he believed that by having chosen the path of a king he had to advance through it alone. Enkidu, Gilgamesh’s friend and companion was the sole exception to this rule. Gilgamesh is a guardian of humanity, yet he did not take upon this role by sheltering mankind. Instead, he sees himself as an observer, an adjudicator and sentencer of men. He alone bears all the burdens of humanity, of sin. He has accepted this as his role. JANE BASKERVILLE. Voiced by: Trina Deuhart Jane is a magus trapped within the reality marble, Apophenia. She was born within a minor magi bloodline from Wales specialized in the creation of puppet familiars and automata. Despite great potential and strong magic circuits, Jane seldom practices magic, as she has no control over her own mana, resulting in harmful bursts of power dangerous for both herself and those around her. Upon encountering each other, she forms a contract with Saber class servant Arturia Pendragon. Jane has a great interest on the new world that has appeared before her, and seeks to explore it to her heart’s content rather than focusing on escaping or fighting other servants and masters. ALLEN SAPIENTI CORTEZ. Due to being the son of an important archeologist, Allen has travelled across the world all of his life. He is well versed in different cultures and is very passionate about learning about myths, legends and stories from everywhere he has visited. He has some magic circuits within his body, passed on from his mother. However, as he never did live with her, he was never trained to be a magus. He is summoned to Apophenia and paired up with Gilgamesh. Allen is enthralled with the Gate of Babylon and all the different weapons within it. Despite his lack of talent at magic, he can easily identify different heroic spirits. This involves artists, composers, web producer/designer, sound designer, programmer, writers, graphics designer, producer, and a co-director. Please take your time to fully read each project pitch and determine for yourself if either are of any interest to you. When you have done that, follow the google form URL located at the very bottom of the post to complete the following application. The application is one of two parts, the second part will come to you individually according to which position you applied for. Think of the first part being interview questions, and the second part is for you to show me what you are capable of bringing to the project. Once the second part has been sent, the results of whether you have been selected will come to you through email after all applicants have been reviewed. *Should you decide against joining the production after you have been selected you are by no means obligated to commit. However, please make that decision before officially taking part in the team.* The projects I currently have planned may be considered within the "concept" stages. However, I have envisioned how each story will progress and made a few outlines for portions of a common route. Island Rakuen(18+) Genres: Mystery, Drama, Romance, Horror It is summer break and college students Shougo and Kyouhei have big plans for vacation. Together, they rent a yacht with the money they saved and invite their friends into the pacific. It would be their last trip before they graduate from students to full-fledged adults. It is also a chance for Shougo to confess to his long-time crush, Toujou Tomoyo. The group sets sail from Tokyo Bay and into the Pacific Ocean when they happen across an uncharted island. Seemingly uninhabited with the exception of heavy vegetative and tropical growth, and a sea teeming with fish the group anchors their yacht and makes camp. Everyone pitches in, building cabins out of branches and leaves, fishing in the ocean for food, gathering the tropical fruits, and hunting the unusually large population of aggressive birds from within the island. They take tests of courage, roast food over a campfire, share dreams and hopes for the future. The place is like a paradise for them. It was a paradise until a tropical cyclone sweeps away their only means of returning home. Stranded, and without means to communicate with the outside world the group of friends' long sought after vacation has become a nightmare. The test of time begins to take its toll on the island's newest inhabitants, and one by one they begin to lose hope of ever returning home. Tomoyo quickly becomes a burden, failing to hold her end of her tasks and earning Maehara Ryouko’s ire. Finger-pointing turns to shoving and opinions to arguments, solidarity crumbles and the group splits into two. Ryouko, having grown impatient seeing Tomoyo pampered for her mistakes and never owning up to her failures takes her own group and leaves. The separation brings temporary peace, but strange things begin to happen at night. A cacophony of howling and laughter sound throughout the island, and each group faces a danger worse than isolation—themselves. Wraiths of Ivarholdt Genres: Drama, Fantasy, Action, Kael Craster is the leader of the band of sellswords called the Wraiths of Ivarholdt. Seven years ago when the clan was originally called the Ivarholdt Raiders, Kael was but a junior member in the clan having been taken in after he was orphaned during the Michar-Forissimo War. He had known bliss and love from his fellow clan mates until one day the Wraiths were indiscriminately hunted and slaughtered by orders of the king himself. Kael and Darrik were the only survivors, having been absent from the camp for a hunting trip. Present day, the war has ended in an armistice and Kael has peacefully rebuilt his clan, naming it the "Wraiths of Ivarholdt" in honor of his former comrades. However, that peace is short lived. News of the hermit King Michar leaving his castle to negotiate a treaty with King Forissimo reaches Kael’s ears. It is an opportunity he would not let go. Revenge begins to stir in Kael's mind and little do his new clan mates know their lives have now become a means to commit regicide. Enter Wiles Tressante, the protagonist of our journey and the Wraiths’ newest member. He is a spy from the neighboring kingdom and ward of King Forissimo tasked with kidnapping the daughter of King Michar. Life with the Wraiths becomes like a dream to Wiles. He finds within them camaraderie he’s never shared and a family he’s never had. His mission becomes a distant memory to him. How you act and respond to situations will affect the course of the game, some having consequences early on or may produce something unexpected later! There are many outcomes to the battle ahead, and multiple, varied endings. Why no stat points or romance bar? I found in games with points I tended to focus only on point collecting, rather than playing through as I want (even though I enjoy those games very much!). But in Courting the Seasons I wanted to minimise that and make it feel much more as though you can make a choice based on what you want, rather than what will net you the most points and have fun with the story than worry about building up stats. I haven’t really put in good and bad choices or ‘true’ endings. There are a variety of choices, which aren’t necessarily good or bad, it’s just different ways of handling outcomes, some of which will be approved of by certain people and not by others and vice versa. Each choice won’t just add to a points bar, it will have an effect and consequence in the story, maybe straight away or maybe later on. Why is this VN commercial? Completing certain missions and training will gain you very limited talent points to specialize your character in lore friendly ways. Respect You are a leader. You must earn the respect of your soldiers! Decisions you make and the success of those decisions will affect the confidence your allies have in you. If you fail a lot, they will lose confidence and go rogue during critical decisions. You may even lose command. A true Pharaoh never loses command… Kinship While how successful you are in decision making and your sense in the field affects the way they see you, it does not help one bit on how they think of you as a person. In order to get on their good side, you must appeal to their innate personalities. One cannot please everyone so make your choices wisely. It is worth noting that Kinship affects how allies act when not around you or when not commanded. Stability You are the strongest. Unfortunately, you are also the most flawed… You have an issue with Dementia and you must suppress these voices throughout your time in the Rift. The tradeoff is considerable though because when you were young, and you let the voices run wild, you could do things others could only dream of. In these dark days, will you allow your mind to slip in order to wield more power or will you avoid such pleasures and rely on knowledge of self? The rift has stood for thousands of years, since the day Nun arrived from the planet Nibiru. Located in the barren lands of Canaan, this void was created to keep the outside world uncontaminated while Nun worked on his creations. He spent centuries studying the humans and when he figured out this world, he created ancients similar to the life found on his home planet. They warred with each other inside the Rift until only 3 families remained. When they left the Rift, Nun used a stability gem to alter reality and hide the incomprehensible damage done. But now, thousands of years since the great sundering, Nun has created another race of beings to combat his creations from ions past. In order for them to prove themselves, they must survive the Rift, as it were during the time of the ancients. Stability is no more! Can the mortals survive the Trials of the Rift? There are many different types of quests in Black Sands. We will briefly go through some of them to better understand the gameplay mechanics involved in each. In Black Sands, time, health, and deployment all work against you as you stride to prepare yourself for the final battle with Nun. Scouting - designed to seek new quests exclusively. Minimal danger Investigation - A quest that requires discipline and perception. Player must decipher material and decide what is important and not. Proper investigation rewards secrets. Tracking - This is an extremely heavy skill check category that requires quick decision making and a little luck. These missions are available only once before they go back into the quest pool. Social - This is a quest where you develop relationships with the other characters and learn more about them. Instant Events - Automatically happen when certain criteria are met. May have nothing to do with prior tasks. Group Events - The entire group must participate. Nun will go over your notes and inspect your facility whenever this happens. Epic Events - Storyline Events that are either triggered by actions or chose by the player. These tend to have more decision making then other events. Exploration - A quest designed to explore unknown locations. These quests have no prior knowledge so player must use their wits to move forward. The farther you get, the better the rewards. These missions can be ended at any time but there is no guarantee you can return. This game is directly inspired by Dragon Age and Telltale. Their strong narratives and crucial game changing decisions inspired me to design a visual novel unlike any before it. Additional motivation was found in the way Hollywood depicts middle eastern and Saharan people. We do a lot of research and use annotations in game to teach the actual history behind the fantasy of our world. Future We will be converting all sprites to Live2d and making them look a bit more realistic and 20x more brutal. He started practicing jujutsu(an old kind of martial art) and kendo together with his childhood friend Kogara Sachi at the age of five, but stopped after breaking a bully's arm in a fit of rage. It is not to be though, as Sachi has made a habit of waking him up and dragging him off to school whether he likes it or not.
