I've been pondering on this questing for a couple of days. Which was the first VN to be released with an opening movie? And as a bonus question which do you think was most "revolutionary" for its time? I've dug up some pre millennium ones (very incomplete list). 1996 Jan 26 Shizuku PC98 (Kizuato op included in video) 1997 May 23 To Heart PC http://www.nicovideo.jp/watch/sm22863985 (Sorry no youtube found of original PC OP) 1998 May 1 White Album PC June 26 One kagayaku kisetsu he PC 1999 June 4 Kanon PC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSHrwX3Ug1k June 25 Kana imouto PC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Khet3t60k_o I leave no guarantees I'm 100% correct on everything.

Does anybody else including those who have a strong sister complex, see this game as being as successful as the anime within the western community? If so how do you think it will go once it is finished being translated (forgive me as I am not fluent in Japanese and can't read the originals). I personally found the anime to be wonderful, though some can disagree, and hope to see this game in action soon.

For those who are interested, you can find it here: http://4NN.cx/153129 I rarely talk about releases and subjective matters, but this one is particular since the game is basically made by former members of the now defunct Littlewitch, I used to be really fond of; known for such great titles as Quartett! and Girlish Grimoire and featuring the art of Oyarii Ashito, that studio made quite an impact on general perception how vn's can not only be good enertainment, but hold some artistic values as well. Unfortunately, I don't hold TENCO in such a high regard as I used to before, mainly due to their skewed approach towards western fans (which shares a lot in common with studios like Minori), bad management and major change in how Oyari Ashito approaches his own artwork so far, after his previous studio broke down. Something tells me this is going to fail anyway, unless becomes a completely mediocre success at all. Meanwhile, TENCO continues to block access to their own services and website for all the foreign IP's.

Hi, I would like to start a serious side project (making a visual novel). I have experience with this. I need someone who is confident in their artistic abilities and is willing to donate time and commitment. I will be writing and coding the novel. I am passionate about writing and I need someone who is passionate about drawing. If you would like to read some of my work I can send you a link. I think this could be really great and fun. No rush as there is no due date, although I would like to complete this project so commitment is a must. This is non-profit. However if it comes out exceptionally well I am willing to try to make a few dollars, which we will split of course. This is unlikely to happen though as I view this as a side project of fulfillment and enjoyment rather than a way to make money. I am open to story ideas, and would prefer we work on the whole thing together as a team. If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to speak your part. Looking forward to hearing from you all! -Rachel

Okay! So Hi guys How are you. its been awhile. since i posted anything meaningful on here. or been on here for more then five minutes lol. Just wanted to share some of my thoughts with you all. Honestly, this visual novel is taking alot, more energy out of me then i thought. Maybe it's because i'm out of my comfort zone. not that it's bad but, It's Defiantly tiring, I'm not even the lead. but, even as a route writer there is a countless number of unexpected responsibilities. I took on a few of those extra things myself. so part of that is my fault to. lol However, so many little details to consider that you sort of take for granted just being a vn reader. Like route lore character cards, and sometimes just getting along with the team when opinions clash or things get to goofy. ugh so much yoai talk and there's not even any of that in our game at least not yet. someone may sneak it in later lol not to mention revision after revision. to match what happens in the common. even though it was added later haha. Still for all the unexpected extra work and silliness. I am thoroughly enjoying this project so far tiredness and all. We got an unexpectedly talented group of people from right here in Fuwanovel. and pretty much, I feel pretty damn lucky to have stumbled upon this group, Yeah there's differences fights. and a lot of hard, hard, work especially for a guy like me who is usually a lazy bugger. However, don't let that discourage you. I think what i am enjoying most about this project. is that i'm accomplishing something i know i could never do alone. I'm going to have to cut this off soon as currently this very group is expecting me to finish my heroine Introduction. and i can't let them down. But. on a final note. Don't be afraid to work on a team. You can do amazing things if your just willing to look past your own ego sometimes and trust people. I hope this maybe inspires some people to consider working on projects together. Afterall as much as i love visual novels and this sites slogan. I think the only way to truly spread them is to Make them ourselves. Sincerly Gahaha.

I completed all the routes (minus Sakura's) and whenever I click New Game it freezes and eventually shuts off my PSP. If someone could help me with this problem and how to fix it, I'd be grateful! Please help! Edit: thanks to Nosebleed, it's solved!

Animes and manga that you wish to be produced as a VN?
Tadayoshi posted a topic in Visual Novel Talk
I don't know if this would be in the anime discussion area or here, so since it involves visual novels (albeit a bit) I shall place it here. I was wondering who sees some of the anime out there as potential candidates for a visual novel. If you have any thoughts please do share, and why do you think it deserves it or how it should work? My recent anime that I thought deserved some visual novel love would be Campione! Of course there is a lot of work needed to create a visual novel, (and a large thanks is in order to not only the production teams but translators as well.) not including the work needed to share these things with the community in the west (Fuwanovel being a great cause, a thanks is given to them in the form of a super, double jump, high-five). This was just a quick topic I thought of, forgive me if it already exists or I have it in the wrong place (and do correct me if this is true and I shall remember not to mess up in the future). I hope you enjoy, oh, and how about I share a picture of a harem just so you can ponder that in style (this one being of Kusanagi Godou in Campione!). -

Period Summary “Dear God, I now make this, the single request of my life…” The near future, Nagasaki. Into this city, with its long and checkered past was born a rarity: a child with wings. I don’t know when it started, but the school overlooking the town came to be known as hallowed ground and that is where we met. Though summer comes closer, there is nothing new, and a boring day just rolls on. But his boring life suddenly ends. He is forced to look for a key of the observatory. He reluctantly accepts it, but gets a little bit excited. An exciting feeling.... A hunch that something will happen. Just before the summer holiday, he meets her... Ending Guideline / Suggested Route Order Period is based on a point system that awards points to each character depending on the choice you chose. For simplicity's sake I compiled all of the point choices into basic choices for each character. With the exception of one choice no points are taken for different choices but the choices will affect what summer you have and what heroine you get at the end. The choices below are only the ones that give points, anything I left out will have no impact on your route. Also note that some choices below may not appear depending on some choices beforehand. ★ means the choice doesn't matter in that specific route. There is no route order required to understand the story, but to get all the routes you have to play two characters at a specific point. Asahi will need at least two other girls AND Miyu's route completed for her route to appear. Koto's route will only appear after you complete ALL of the other routes. if you do wish for an order I suggest: Miyu/Yukina/Rin/Aoi/Kohane/Tsuzumi/Asahi/Koto Route Guideline Yazuki Miyu Good End Kawasaki Yukina Good End Kagamiya Rin Good End Sawatari Aoi Good End Koishikawa Kohane Good End Mizuhara Tsuzumi Good End "True" Route *Note that this requires at least two routes AND Miyu's to be completed* Onodera Asahi Good End Bonus Route *Note that this requires ALL routes to be completed* Sawatari Koto Good End Attribution This walkthrough is based on info attained on gamefaqs.com and tlwiki.org with some adjustments made by me.

Hi everyone, I was just curious about playing VN's on mobile devices, as I don't own a PSP currently and I'm going to purchase a smartphone soon. Is there anyone who plays VN's on their cellphone a lot? I was thinking of getting either a Samsung galaxy or an iPhone, so I could play VNs without being in front of a computer. Is one better suited for VNs over the other? I know the galaxy has a bigger screen, but is that the only advantage? Also, are there more visual novels available for Andriod than iOS, or vice versa? Thanks -Kaede

Hey guys~ I've been dying to play Silver Chaos: Artificial Mermaid for a while and therefore, I've also been looking for an english patch, since I can't read kanjis and all, but in vain. There doesn't seem to be any, much to my displeasure... I'm sure i'm not the only one who wish to play this visual novel, so here I go: I was wondering if anyone was interested in working on an english patch for this game? I can do the editing or proofreading, I do know how to read hiragana and katakana too, but that's all, unfortunately. If anyone is willing to help and start/lead this project, I will be more than happy :3 Btw: It'll be my first time working on a project like this, so I'll try to do my best, hehe.

Hello! My name is Damonkala I've just joined these forums no longer than an hour ago. I've been a fan of visual novels for nearly 2 years and I had only just discovered the wonderful site of fuwanovel in June! I hope to read many topics and make many friends, as I am very happy to discover such a large group of visual novel fans. I've watched anime as a child but I have only been an otaku for the past 3 years. My first anime was Fooly Cooly and my first visual novel was Katawa Shoujo. Since then I've played Clannad, Kanon, Rewrite, Wind: a breath of the Heart, Steins;Gate, Chaos;Head and many more. Currently I am playing Air. Little Busters is my favorite visual novel of all time, and I am currently watching the anime adaptation. Once again I hope to make some friends and have a fun time here. Thank you for reading my introduction. *bows*
