  4. (Whelp...here goes nothing. This is a game set in JP, but I have a good reason for this, I swear to God!) PS: I LOVE YOU (R18) VNDB Website Demo Team: Eunsun Shin, Toxicmilkk (colorist), Lizm (colorist), Red L. Jameson (editor) I’ve never thought about falling in love. I’m not even sure know what that means. My parents divorced when I was seven, but even before then, for as long as I could remember, their marriage was in tatters, both of them desperately hanging on to something they secretly knew was over. ------- College junior Kei Asakawa doesn’t believe in love. After a childhood spent watching her parents tear each other apart, she wants nothing to do with affairs of the heart. But one special day, she meets three men who could change her outlook on life—and love—forever. PS: I Love You is a dating sim and visual novel in the otome “maiden” game genre, featuring over 100,000 words of original story, stunning illustrations, and three swoon-worthy men to choose from: - Naoki Takayama, the happy-go-lucky baseball star who’s been best friends with Kei since childhood - Haruhito Satou, the cold, efficient businessman hiding a heart of gold and an impoverished past - Shinichi Kougure, Kei’s playboy cafe-owner boss with walls of ice around his heart and a boy band history he’ll be forced to revisit Can Kei win over any of the men who’ve caught her eye, and if so, which one? The road to love won’t be easy, between career-ending injuries, long distance relationships, endless paparazzi, and secret meet-ups, but you’ll decide what path Kei takes. ~70,000 - 100,000k word count (including common routes) Multiple Good Ends (Lukewarm ends, no rapey bad ends) Original OP song composed by nostraightanswer and recorded by rubysakura Naoki's route is free to play, Haruhito/Shinichi is an additional $5 each The game, as of 4.6.2018, is about 25% complete. I've been focusing a great deal of my time working on the art (god, there's so much art) and unfortunately, the script's kind of fallen by the wayside. The synopsis/plotlines are all, er, plotted, so it's just a matter of writing the damn thing. I'm a fast writer, though, so I anticipate being able to complete AT LEAST Naoki's route by the end of this month, which is when I'll send it off to my beta testers. But I'm hoping to have a demo of PS: I<3 U available to play by the end of next week. The script is finished; it's about 15k and the demo will end when you get to the choosing scene. I think a May 30th release is wholly possible. Once the assets are complete, it's a matter of finishing the script, sending it off to the editor, and then programming it. (actually, now that I think about it, May 30 is not that far off, OTL) Once I release the demo on itchio, I'll post up a short questionaire for you folks to fill out, if you would be so kind. No questionaire. Just tell me your thoughts
  5. Hello friends I have developed a game. it is called ignis avis venatio and it is about Cain Blanchard is a fifteen year old boy who wants nothing more than to be left to his own devices. When a cute girl said to be a "phoenix" suddenly drops from the sky before him, Cain is thrust into the world of magic. He inadvertently finds himself caught in a game called Ignis Avis Venatio; a fight to the death competition between students and their familiars. The winner of the game obtains the phoenix's powers. What should he do? Who should he fight? And who exactly is this "phoenix" girl? i nearly died working on it and would appreciate if anyone wanted to check it out. cheers http://store.steampowered.com/app/809570/Ignis_Avis_Venatio/
  6. On December 31, 999 AD, the Pope Sylvester II, an infamous blasphemer, who received his post by beating the Devil at dice, solemnly celebrated the last Mass. The bell rhythmically tolled the last moments of mankind before the Judgment Day. “Our Father in heaven, save and protect us sinners from the infernal flames and the hellhounds that bared their fangs to tear our souls.” It didn’t help. The end of the world came right on schedule and showed no mercy. Only a few fortunate managed to escape the cataclysm on a remote and unknown island. This community subsequently spawned the first Pastor, the hierarch under whose government the new state grew and flourished with time. Eventually, new Pastors came, and with them changed the flock. Changed until the handmade paradise was stricken with the deafening thunderclap — a murder was committed. Then another one and another one… At that time arsons, cattle rustling and robberies began. Gradually, the darkness superseded the sunlight… Lambs grew weary of being laid under a hatchet, so they cried and crawled to their Pastor, begging the Father to hurriedly deal with the flayers, restore order in the common house. Thus, the Devoters appeared, the hope and support of ordinary people, their defenders and protectors, making silver linings seen to the hearts tormented by injustices. There is no cold fierce enough, no heat hot enough, no storm or hurricane deadly enough to stop the Devoters from fighting the wicked with seething zeal and ready swords. They live for the sake of their people. And for the sake of their people, they would die. This is their story, unveiled and unadorned, exactly as the Pastorate chroniclers told it over many generations. Howdy, dear ladies and gents. So, that's how it starts. How it ends will depend on your choices made during the game. As of now we're about 80% ready and plan to release the first episode in april. YOU CAN ALREADY CHECK OUT THIS DEMO ON ITCH.IO It's worth giving a shot I promise. Our TWITTER is out there too. To cut is short: you serve in a special force service that resembles both FBI and Inquisition. You're given an elder partner who is really street-smart and has been doing these drug busts and crib raids for too long. Together you gotta figure out who offed the Prefect of the province and why they did it. That's you - Leonard Pinterro That's your partner - Vinnie Boyd That's what the gameplay actually looks like Also we do have a battle system. It's done in the form of a card game. To reveal more info about the setting, the universe we decided to include the Velvet book which is the encyclopedia of the world. It encompasses most important concepts and notions. I would describe this game as a mix of The Wire + Training day + Mad Max + The Wicker man and maybe some "best" parts of GULAG. Please stay tuned for updates and new info for Project Pastorate. Soon we will have other news. Thank you very much for your attention, ladies and gents. ONE FAITH. ONE FAMILY. ONE FORCE. ALL HAIL PASTOR!
  7. Falling Star is an upcoming romance/drama visual novel spanning over 800k words. If you are interested please read on for more details. Summary: A wish; the magnificent enormous tree standing in the center of Okaraka town is said to have the ability to grant a single wish to whoever manages to climb up to the top. Of course only a handful of people actually believe in this age-old Urban legend. Sasaki Jiro is not one of those people. He's never believed it not even as a small child, now he's finally returning to his home and his opinion hasn't changed in the least. Plagued by strange visions as he returns to his hometown for his final year of high school, Jiro's younger cousin, Inoue Sora somehow manages to get Jiro to join the Astronomy Club. Among the two cousins in the club are Fujimoto Shiro, Jiro's childhood friend, Nura Misaki, a mysterious loner, Chitose Akira, the energetic class president, Hasekura Hinako, a preppy seventh grader, and Sendo Yuichi, a perverted honor student. Eventually, Jiro begins enjoying his time with the Astronomy Club but underneath all the happiness and playful comedy there are dark secrets lurking inside everyone's souls. Characters: Sasaki Jiro- "I hate the world. I think it's a really crappy place. That's why I want to live my life to the fullest. I refuse to let the bastard win." Slightly cynical and skeptical to the core. Jiro is the protagonist of the story. He enjoys messing around with his friends to get a reaction out of them, Sora and Shiro being among his favorite targets. However, despite his usual attitude, he can be a generally nice guy when it counts. Inoue Sora- "Will kissing Shiro really mean I can stay...Alright then, I'll do it!" Naive and gullible, Sora is Jiro's cousin and the president of the Astronomy Club. She's a very kind and polite girl who excels at cooking. She is a good leader and can keep Jiro in check despite usually falling for his jokes. However, she has a tendency to sleepwalk quite frequently, always resulting in chaos. She also is immensely strong despite her gentle appearance. Fujimoto Shiro- "You must wanna have both your arms broken, huh?" Brash and short-tempered, Shiro is Jiro's and Sora's childhood friend and granddaughter of the town's founders. Shiro can be easily aggravated especially by the likes of Jiro and Yuichi. She is a lover of all animals and an avid hater of the heat, often doing whatever it takes to avoid sweating. Chitose Akira- "Hahaha! You guys all actually thought I was gonna pull my skirt down! Upbeat and playful, Akira is the class representative. She loves to play around and as such she usually counters Jiro's teasing with some of her own. However, she knows when to get serious about her job. She also has a tendency to accidentally say blunt things. Akira loves to eat and is frightened of birds. Nura Misaki- "It's horrendous." Cold and aloof, Misaki is a quiet girl in the Astronomy Club. She prefers to be alone and is often eating her lunch on the school's roof. Like Akira, Misaki also has a tendency to be rather blunt, however, in her case, it is completely intentional. Misaki has a fondness for poetry and ketchup and hates being touched. Hasekura Hinako- "Fuee~ I'm an adult!" Proud and stubborn, Hinako is a rich middle school student. She is spoiled and has never been punished for anything. As a result, she takes this as being treated as an adult and thus thinks of herself as such. For some reason, she has a habit of saying "Fuee". She has a strong bond with Akira who she looks up to like a sister. She also is quite addicted to playing crane machines. Hinako loves stuffed animals and hates cats. Sendo Yuichi- "Misaki, my dear. I can see your panties from here. It is truly a lovely angle." Perverted and intelligent, Yuichi is at the top of the third year class. Despite his status of being an honor student as well as a pretty good athlete, he makes no attempt to hide his more indecent qualities. However, somehow he is always there for his friends when it counts the most. Inoue Yoshi- “I LOVE YOU JIRO, MY BOY!!!!!” Loud and hammy, Yoshi is the supervisor of the Astronomy Club. He makes the most out of every day by having as much fun as possible. He cares deeply for Jiro and Sora and is always ready to calm down when he knows they need it. He is completely oblivious to his terrible cooking and music skills. 10. Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share with you the VN I've been working on with some friends. After that, i wanted to share the peculiar history behind the development, as we've had many questions that can only be answered by asking you directly. It is important to us that you give us your feedback, whether you like the project or not (especially if you don't!): “Rejoice, brothers and sisters, for The Answer has been proclaimed. Blessed be those who know how to listen.” -Nova City foundation chronicles In a world torn apart by crisis, war and hunger, our old leaders faced a dilemma: either find an answer to the conflict or leave humanity to its imminent destruction. They chose the answer. But this answer was not found, it was built. Nova City, humanity´s new hope Nova City is a vibrant symbol of hope and progress. It stands over the ruins of the war-torn world we left behind. Bursting with life and commerce, it seems unthinkable that the city itself is also a massive computer built to house “The Answer”: a system created to govern in the most rational and optimized way, excluding humanity from the exercise of political power. The Answer has brought prosperity to Nova City, and its citizens have lived devoid of major conflicts for over two centuries. Inside an apartment of this city, you wake up to find a tarot card that someone must have slipped under your door. The message is clear: The Fortune Teller has chosen you as the next victim. Afraid to leave your apartment, you rush to your computer to make a call that will change the lives of many people (or even end them) as the delicate balance of power in the city begins to shift. Embark on this noir tale of mystery and intrigue that will pit humanity’s reason against our own inevitable emotional nature. Game & Features From the start, you have locked yourself in your apartment to hide from the serial killer called "The Fortune Teller". In such a predicament, you’ll be interacting with Nova City and its people through your computer’s screen. From your computer, you’ll be able to make calls, tap into people’s phones and gain access to confidential information. You’ll also be able to hack into security systems in order to, for example, tail someone through traffic light’s camera feeds. During the course of the story, you’ll be able to create alliances with Nova City’s most important factions, gaining powerful friends (and enemies) in the process. Hacklist is currently being developed for PC/Mac. Features: Emotion Compass: Allows you to see how people feel, and how their emotional state changes as you touch certain topics. This will allow you to call bluffs, understand people better, push them to act in certain ways or set the mood for intimate conversations. Profiler: You'll have access to police reports for everyone you speak to. The profiler updates itself as new events unfold, and will give you some insights and hints about your contact's personality, letting you know how people may react differently to the same emotions. Hacklist also presents some new mechanics to the usual VN structure in the form of Apps you can use at any time during your experience: Skall: A videochat app where most dialogues/scenes will happen. Watermelon News: A social network where you'll be able to read people's posts and Nova City News. Remote.hack: Access networks, hack into security cameras, tap phones, and get into other people's computers to reveal their darkest secrets. The story behind the story... (and how your opinion will decide the changes we'll make) So! We're a team of 6 living and working in Caracas, Venezuela. This is a project born a couple of years ago in a itch.io game jam, back when it looked like this: (and yep... that's me!) After the jam, the project leads wanted to continue the project. I couldn't at that time because of my job, so they formed Caustic Games to do it. That's how the second version of Hacklist was born. It was a much more polished product, and it had a new cyberpunk/vaporwave style. This version was approved on Square Enix Collective, where you can still play the demo. (That's Kentai on the center. They grow up so fast! *sniff*) (A screenshot of our pseudo-antagonist Clive Jackson. Remember the name, we'll come back to him in a bit!) The campaign was successful, and we received a lot of feedback that helped us detect some flaws we had. Around this time, 2 of the main artists left the project, and the remaining artist and myself (i had just joined the team) couldn't accurately replicate the previous artist's style, so we were forced to abandon a style we liked in favor of making a new one that we could handle better. Eventually, we rewrote the whole story, keeping the same characters and archetypes mostly intact. But this story was to be set in a futuristic utopia, rather than the bleak future from the previous cyberpunk setting. After some time, we decided that a futuristic Art Deco setting was perfect for the mood of future, progress and empowerment we wanted Nova City to irradiate. ...And then we hit a pretty hard roadblock: none of the characters we were designing were aesthetically cohesive with either the tone and setting, or the environment itself. So we started to make some tests on styles for the characters... ...then we made some more... ...and MORE... We finally set out to define the style and technique we would have for the in-game art, and it went down to these three versions of Clive Jackson (the guy i told you to remember from the previous version!): Aaaand that's where we stand now! we decided internally to go with the third option, as we felt the technique blended better with the background and the character was designed to resemble an Art Deco statue, from the volumetrization to the edgy style from illustrations of the 1920's, 30's and 40's. The thing is, we kind of went open minded about changing the anime style to something that better reflected the world where the story is taking place, but none of us has seen more than a handful of non-anime visual novels, and have no idea if this art style is actually appealing or if it is, on the contrary, something that would disuade readers. Here's where you come into play! We need your feedback and opinion about the project, as asking you guys directly is the only possible way for us to know we're on the right track. We would love it if you took the time to watch the concepts, mockups and screens and tell us, honestly, which images do you find more appealing, and if the current state of art style is something you might want to see in a VN. Do you think non-anime style in VNs is something detrimental? or do you think it-s a welcome change of routine? Please let us know what you think! Thank you for reading through the end! Anything you can comment on the project is a HUGE help for us! -Jorge Veloso AKA "Vel", Artist at Caustic Games Our Team Hacklist on Facebook VNDB entry still in progress...

After a long year of treatment without any positive results, Yuuki asks for his final wish: to return to his hometown and fulfill his promise to meet again with his childhood friend, Saki Nishimura. However, as always, things are hard for him. Saki no longer lives where she used to, and no one knows her whereabouts. The last hint Yuuki got was from the high school Saki had said she wanted to attend—Shimizu High School. Together with his adopted little sister, Mary, and his new tomboyish neighbor, Chihiro, Yuuki keeps searching for the girl, only to meet Asuka Fujimoto, the most popular girl at school, who happens to look like Saki. 12. Turmoil of the Seven is live on Kickstarter now! Please check it out and play the demo if you're interested! Link to the demo: https://files.fm/u/x7gtdtye In the distant future, humanity embraces the end of the Crusade of Man an intergalactic war that left the entire galaxy unbalanced. The most weakest population, the humans, have now became the most powerful and dominant race in the galaxy. Xenophobia for many humans is a thing of the past, but now as a new era is ushered in, this encourages much nationalism and free thinking for many humans. The Alliance of Free Systems which is the most powerful nation out of the now emerging seven, no longer has its firm grasp on the universe. For many, it was perhaps the end of the Crusade of Man that caused humanity to split, but for others it was during the conflict that instigated a division of humanity. As this new era of revolutions and ideologies dawns, what are the chances of the full unification of humanity like in the past? Or perhaps humanity will be chastised by the other races of the galaxy, once the humans finish fighting among each other? Here are the main characters of the story: For more information on the characters and factions please check out the Kickstarter! Thank you all for taking time to view this post! I tried to make this post short and simple for everyone to read.
  13. Hey everyone! After a few months of delays, I am proud to finally release my first full-fledged visual novel. https://alonsobetancor.itch.io/so-long-summer-days (Description taken directly from website) "So long, summer days" follows Enrique "Pan" Domingo on his quest to actually do something. Through a potent mixture of laziness and a somewhat inspiring determination, he's managed to live a jobless life in a nameless suburb since before he even got married. It's worn on his wife and he's not really sure if he's tired of it either. There's something a little sad about this life. Between scrounging for cigarettes or nothing at all, you can't help but wonder if there's anything else. But these dog days will end. Thousands of them lay dead on the shore. He knows he can't linger but he has to watch. Summer can't last forever. Featuring -A valid use of a half hour -Full voice acting and an original soundtrack -Fully illustrated (and entirely hand drawn) Starring Vaughan Farrar Ashley Harrah with Julian Bane Wyatt Manieri An original score by George Buccino with samples from One True God and Xavier Cugat Art by Kelley Karlok Diego de Miguel Ally Godsil and a script by Alonso Betancor (also it's my first post here)
  14. Hello! My name's Luther, I'm the game designer on a new game that combines elements of Visual Novels and Roguelikes called 'Ambition: Minuet in Power'. We launched on Kickstarter a few weeks ago and we're already 71% funded. In Ambition, you play at Yvette, a woman of fashion in France right before the revolution. Yvette wants power, wealth and love, by any means necessary. Attend parties, charm guests, seduce powerful people and snub your enemies. However, the revolution is approaching and you must be careful, in order to survive, you'll need to end up on the winning side of history. Some random thoughts about the game: Every playthrough is different! Characters that appear in one playthrough may not appear in another. History is a mystery! The revolution might win this time, or it might not, carefully observe political events and adapt as they unfold, in order to avoid the guillotine. Revolutionary fashion! All the outfits worn in the game are based on actual paintings and fashion plates from the period. Strut like a queen, or march like a Jacobin! Both male and female romance options will be available (hence the GxB&G tag). The game won't be fully voice acted (way too expensive), but we'd like to have voice overs for some of the main story points. Thanks for reading! If any of this sounds cool to you, please check out our Kickstarter and our hi-res story trailer.
  15. Hello everyone! Our two-person team at Woodsy Studio is excited to officially announce Echoes of the Fey - Episode 2: The Last Sacrament. It's actually pretty far along in production right now (about 75% complete), but we're running a Kickstarter to help us to the finish line and fund all of the features we want to implement (such as more CGs and voice acting). The Echoes of the Fey series mixes a high fantasy setting with the mysteries and conspiracies of pulp detective fiction. Play as Sofya Rykov, a private investigator with a secret of her own: she is the only Human able to wield unlimited magic. Her country of Oraz is recovering from a 30-year war between Humans and Leshin (elves) over the use of Fey energy, so her unstable magic is best kept secret. Sofya herself is an unusual protagonist. For starters, we gave her personality traits typically given to the male leads of hard-boiled mystery tales. She sports a sassy, optimistic attitude that laughs in the face of danger, but this is a cover for the fear and helplessness underneath. As a result she sleeps around, drinks heavily, and knows she could die at any moment from the strange magic trapped inside of her. In The Last Sacrament, Sofya’s childhood love and the Emperor’s daughter, Katerina, seeks her protection from threats near the border. Meanwhile Katerina’s rival, Nikolai, needs a dangerous drug stolen from the powerful Krovakyn Church and uses blackmails to force Sofya’s assistance. Nikolai wants a dose of the Sacrament, a mysterious substance from the Krovakyn Church that can cure illnesses and extend lifespans. But repeated use of the Sacrament causes strange side effects, such as hallucinations and physical deformities. Nikolai wants to give the Sacrament to his grandmother, who has already received the maximum dosage allowed. It’s up to you, the player, to solve each case and determine its outcome. Can you track down Katerina’s enemy? And if you manage to steal the Sacrament, what will you choose to do with it? You also have several romance options in The Last Sacrament. If you proceed carefully, you can develop a romantic relationship with Katerina, Arkady, Nikolai, or Heremon. Most of The Last Sacrament consists of traditional VN scenes with choices to direct the story. You can also roam the town of Vodotsk freely as a side-scrolling environment, which opens up side quests and optional investigation opportunities. But the most experimental aspect of Echoes of the Fey: The Last Sacrament is a complex mini-game called RiftRealms. This is a tabletop game that exists in the world of Echoes of the Fey, and as Sofya you can play with other characters. We thought this would be an interesting way to showcase each character’s personality based on how they treat you as a Dungeon master. It also explores the question: what do people fantasize about in a fantasy world? What I'd love to hear from you: 1) Feedback about RiftRealms Via the download-able demo, you can see the first few scenes of the game and try RiftRealms for yourself! We'd love to hear what people think of the mini-game and whether you feel it will be an enjoyable addition to the narrative experience. If you have any other specific feedback about the game right now we'd love to hear that, too 2) Feedback regarding technical game performance Due to the fact that we're building this game in Unreal Engine 4 and implementing some fancy 3D environments, we realize that playing the game will require a better graphics card and CPU than most visual novels. You can set the Overall Visual Quality to LOW in the Options menu if you have a lower-end computer. Either way, we'd love to get a general feel for how the game performs for the average player. PROGRESS The Kickstarter sadly wasn't funded, but we promised that we would stay hard-at-work on the game and ensure it released, though perhaps without all the features we hoped to fund. We anticipated an early 2018 release date, but the unsuccessful campaign and a Steam release of our latest game, miraclr: Divine Dating Sim put us a few months behind schedule. A few months later, we're excited to be ready to give an update on The Last Sacrament. The script is finished and 95% coded into the game. Almost all the art assets are complete and incorporated into the project. The soundtrack is complete except for a couple of remixes that we hope will be a fun surprise for our players. What's left to complete? First off, the remaining portions of the script we've yet to implement in the game. That last five percent is chronologically near the end of the game and (as a result) has more branches/possibilities than most scenes. Second, we're hoping to implement a dynamic version of RiftRealms, the RPG mini-game, so that if players enjoy it they can experience it at any time, not just when the story allows. Finally, the not-insignificant testing and optimization phase, where we'll iron out every bug we can find over the final stretch. So, when will you be able to play The Last Sacrament? As long as there aren't any more unexpected delays, we're aiming for a late May or June release on Steam/itch.io for Windows PCs. Console versions will likely be later this year. Thanks to everyone who signed up to back the project last year. We're looking forward to finally making the game available to you and everyone else!

  18. Story: Find someone else is a visual novel about the ever-changing nature of relationships, the hardships of dealing with loss and the unfair inevitability of illness and death. Gameplay: Step into the shoes of Noah, a tired protagonist, trying to cope with his girlfriend’s worsening illness. 1+ hour story with many different paths to follow. Explore the darker sides of Stockholm in the company of complex and lost characters. Is love unconditional? End: This game comes from a very personal place and was in many ways necessary to make, storywise. That said, I've still modelled the gameplay after my own preferences for lots of choices and complex characters in games. The graphical style is a mix of the two pools of inspiration I'm raised on: expressive, japanese manga and dark, nordic comic books. Hopefully you'll find something different in this game. It's available here on Itch.io. Free to download.
  19. Hey everyone! I made a post here a while back about a Kinetic Visual Novel series I'm working on called Viridescent Dragon. 20. Panzer Hearts is a visual novel filled with romance and adventure. The setting is an alternative WW2 where the Third Reich is replaced with a war mongering “Empire” that is terrorizing its neighbors. The Empire has been in existence for a long time and it’s architecture and mythology combine European and ancient Egyptian themes into a unique concoction. The young men and women born and raised in the Empire see the war of aggression as justified. In our protagonist’s case, a chain of events and a cry from his past make him question his loyalty and his side on the conflict. The game contains a minigame where the player gets to build WW2 tanks. In Panzer Hearts you take the role of a young soldier, Bastian. Wounded in battle, Bastian gets a second chance to serve the Empire in a factory producing tanks. Some of the people in the factory are linked to Bastian’s past and some to his future. They say love is blind, but in this case love and where it leads our young protagonist can completely change his future and the course of the war. Progress 78/100 % We are developing our character art from Western Cartoon style to Anime style! Otherwise the game is pretty closed to finished! Director's Notes Hello, everyone! Thank you so much for your interest in our game. The goal of this game is mostly to bring awareness to some very dark and sensitive topics that many high school students face today. Of course, there are so many issues that our youth struggles with, so we only tackle a few of the bigger topics that are sometimes swept under the rug (like bullying, sexual assault, gender crisis). This may offend some people, but overall, I hope to bring light on these topics. There are so many very. real. problems that people around us continue to deal with. I would like to dedicate this to those who struggled, are struggling, and will struggle with these things.
  22. Hello! So this is my debut VN made with Ren'Py. It started development since 2015 but will only be seeing its First Chapter after a few days because of some difficulties. I also had to rewrite the entire plot. If you can tell, I'm a one-man crew. Only the writing and programming is 100% me. The rest of the assets are CC. What will be releasing in a few days is the first of ten chapters that will span until mid-2018. Call it 0.98 for now; it just needs some polishing. Release will be on itch.io. Death Roulette focuses on ten students from Maria St. Claire Institute, all of whom are graduating from high school. Everything seems normal at first... until a strange "link" is uncovered. Conspiracy theories circulate around an incident the previous academic year, when a mass murder occurs at Sacred Heart Village. One by one, a student is killed each month, and the mastermind is never unmasked. To top it off, one of MSCI's alumna is involved, but even she is proven innocent... or is she? Come one morning, and the students of MSCI find out that even they have been compromised: someone is re-enacting the Sacred Heart Murders through a long-running game of deadly roulette. This time, they have a chance of unmasking the culprit, but how many lives will the effort cost? The time has started, and the game is on. It draws a lot of inspiration from Higurashi and Corpse Party, but the plot's basis is on semi-true events. Expect to see some neat references there... or not. Parallelisms, maybe? You can follow updates through my Twitter account or Facebook Page (I post my updates and teasers there), though you'll be seeing some images from the VN at this very post (if I can figure it out, that is). I'll be updating this throughout the entirety of the development. It's gonna be a long trip ahead! UPDATE: The game is now available on itch.io! Follow this link to the VN: https://jamiedw-offc0728.itch.io/death-roulette-chap-01

  24. Hi there! I'm developing my first ever visual novel called The Cold Case of Noella Bejerot. It's a detective story about a girl named Grace Sinclair who gets kicked out of high school, kicked out of her house, and wanders the streets in search of a home. Things start to look up when she gets offered a job as a detective! The only problem is... how can a girl who faints at the sight of blood solve murder cases? If that sounds interesting, feel free to look at exclusive sneak peak into the actual writing of the game here: https://thecoldcaseofnoellabejerot.wordpress.com/2017/09/27/short-excerpt That's a pretty basic of the synopsis I have on the story. Here's a more detailed version of the story here: Grace Sinclair is a less than stellar student. In fact, she’s flunked out of her high school at 20 years old! That’s not even the worst of her problems. Her dad kicks her out, and now starving and homeless, our hero bravely steals a snack from the convenience store on the other side of town. Just then, a masked man comes in! He holds up the store, waving a gun around and demands for all the money in the register or there’ll be consequences. The police show up and out of luck, Grace is able to help them find out the identity of the robber. The head detective, Delilah Araceli, is so impressed she offers Grace a job. Feeling that this may be her chance to make a true difference in the world, she accepts the job! The only problem is, Grace does NOT have good reasoning skills and on top of that has a condition where she faints at the sight of blood! As you progress through the story, it’s up to Grace to solve cases from homicide to domestic abuse to the legends of the mysterious and murderous serial killer known only as “The Banshee”. All while she’s hiding her secret from her quirky co-workers, who I remind you are DETECTIVES, before she ends up back on the street! She’ll have to solve her hardest case yet when she faces, The Cold Case of Noella Bejerot. You'll meet some interesting characters that I will be posting about next week on my wordpress. I post a blog every Wednesday. Next Wednesday, is the start of character spotlights, so you won't want to miss it! Please feel free to check it out here: https://thecoldcaseofnoellabejerot.wordpress.com For more real time updates on the development of the game, I post them here: https://twitter.com/CCNBdev I would love to here feedback on your thoughts about the story! Our demo will be released late November/early December!
