This is for people who like making video games and visual novels. Have you heard about Game Development World Championship? It’s a contest aimed at students, indie developers and new game start-ups who want global attention to their games. The contest has started already and will be running until the 30th of september.
You can basically submit any kind of game you want (of course you should check the rules first). Even visual novels can be submitted to the competition (and it would be really cool if someone would submit a visual novel). The only major rule about submitting a game is that it has not been published elsewhere before 2016, meaning that if you have a game "in the works", it'd be able to be submitted. Or if you've always thought about making a game but just haven't gotten around to it, this could be a great chance to start!
Competition categories are entertainment games and serious games, with 3 finalists from each category winning a trip to Finland, Sweden and Slush 2016 (which is the biggest start-up event in Europe). Everyone who applies to the contest will also get a free e-book bundle (this is not public info yet but I was allowed to talk about it). The books are mostly about 3D modeling and Unity development.
The organizer is the Finnish company called Viope Solutions Oy. They have previously organized the contest in 2012 and 2013.

Rewrite! It is without a doubt one of the best VN's I have ever read so far. All the girls have interesting (and fairly dramatic) backstories, are cute and make the whole thing a blast to read. It has by far the best comedic moments of any Key VN and the drama hits home. It is also a departure from most high school centric romance VN's since the whole thing is just a part of something much greater that really manages to 'get you', no matter what side you actually end up on. Highly recommended.
 
Other than that, I fear you will hate Key's more traditional VN's like Clannad, Kanon and Little Busters because they are very much centered around the kind of dramatic moments you seem to dislike, so yeah...

tl;dr Because of people making fraudulent purchases in order to obtain Steam Keys and re-sell them, MangaGamer has been forced to remove their Steam Key offers for the foreseeable future until a better solution comes.
It really sucks that people pull this kind of shit off.
On top of that, because of the currently existing chargeback policies, whoever is returning the money is always on the losing end no matter what they do.
I totally understand and agree with MG's move here and I even sympathize with them, but it's still sad I won't be able to get a Steam key to give to a friend (or giveaway) whenever I buy a game from them anymore.
Really hope this helps mitigate the damage for them though.

More terrible OELVN's, yay! I even had high hopes for this one too...
So, I was trying to wait for Unwonted Studios to release the 18+ patch but since that is apparently taking forever I decided to publish it anyways. I highly doubt it will do much to improve the overall quality of this hot mess anyways...
