  1. It won't be announced here. Besides, the translation isn't even finished, and it would probably around 3-4 months into next year at the earliest before it will be.
  2. I remember hearing about some Japanese article talking to various developers about English localization and Regista said they were planning something, and combined with the whole Lemnisca website redesign thing, I'd imagine those two are doing something.
  3. The reason none of the other minori games are getting licensed is probably because it'd be difficult to edit out all the porn in them to make a steam version. That and since they're already doing supipara there's no real reason for them to rush and try to get as many of minori's titles as they can right now. Also I don't know where you're getting that he somehow made the announcement without telling mangagamer anything at all. They knew about it, as they'd discussed it with minori before, but they may or may not have known he'd be announcing it there.
  4. 1. The word she says is やほー, which is just a slangy, friendly type of greeting. Terrible translators put it is as yahoo, yoohoo is something I've seen it translated to often, and while I don't really care for it that much (I'd never use that word period), it's not wrong or necessarily bad. 2. I hear it plenty enough to justify it being used. The fact that one may be slightly more common than the other doesn't mean the other should never ever, ever be used. People say all sorts of different things. All in all, I feel like most of this discussion is pointless to begin with. Why are people even talking about literal translations vs liberal? The translation for this was actually fairly liberal despite what anyone says. One or two examples don't really change this fact.
  5. Meh, the screenshots posted don't even seem terrible to me, nor did I think the translation of the game was bad. If I were to stop and document things like this throughout every single translation, official or not, I've played, I doubt there'd be a single one that didn't at least have a few of those issues.
  6. Okay? What's your point? Meikyuu doing meh doesn't mean magically it would've sold more copies had they delayed it's release to coincide with the 18+ release.
  7. No, there are no all-ages PC releases, only vita versions which usually come anywhere from months later to years later. The delay in release for Grisaia over here is because there's extra work that needs to go into the 18+ release, such as translation stuff.
  8. There's a big difference between pirated shit and this. If you want to pirate the game, then just pirate the whole damn thing. Literally what is the purpose of offering this? For people who aren't cheap enough to pirate but can't be damned to pay 10 more dollars? The only thing these do is dissuade steam users from actually buying from denpasoft, which isn't a good thing for anyone. Not to mention this persons "excuse" is a giant joke. " If you don’t know how I work on my patches, it’s quite simple: if there is a Steam version and a japanese version (priority is disc > download), I usually make a patch for the Steam release. Some people, like me, prefer also to directly support the developers, so even though you are holding two copies of the game, you cannot transfer the content between them even though they’re the exact same game with the exact same files. I’ve been always pretty vocal about this stuff and how it’s terrible to make you buy a third thing (usually the patch) to use the content you already own. " Apparently they're for people who have the steam version as well as the standalone 18+ version? That makes 0 sense at all, and ironically enough I find it funny that all these 18+ patches are for Sekai games, and you find none for Mangagamer steam titles. Oh, and they even apparently have an affiliate link to buy off Mangagamer's store. All of that, on top of the fact that this person takes donations. Sorry, but that's pretty scummy.
  9. The steam version gets dropped in price so the patch actually has a price, the only result of this is that steam kiddos get the game for cheaper. There's nothing for you to complain about.
  10. Well, I mean, it's not like that statement's actually wrong...
  11. Yeah, I've played the previous stuff (supposedly edited) and part of the new stuff in this patch. Quality isn't really different whatsoever.
  12. Adding them back in is probably too much work because the h-scenes were replaced with new scenes. Example, there's a scene in Mai's route where she says she'll give you a reward for helping her do gardening work at the school. If you look at the galleries you'll realize what that reward ends up being, but in the 15+ version it ends up being something entirely different.
  13. You're just looking for shit to get angry over. Grisaia has tons of perverted jokes, and a lot of them get pretty dirty, talking about genitalia, sex, whatnot. What Frontwing did was likely because sony asked them to, or because they wanted to be on the safe side. Sony's requirements for publishing on PS Vita are more strict than Valve's. Since you seem to be so stuck on this notion of them "cutting what they didn't have to", maybe you'd like to know that most publishers cut things that don't necessarily need to be when they make a PS Vita version? Panty shots are regularly changed, despite them being acceptable. If you look at the CGs in Princess Evangile, you'll notice they changed CGs that involved the girls in their underwear, and made the top part longer to cover most of the stomach area. Why don't you go cry about the steam version of that? The problem with IMHHW isn't the fact that they cut things, but the fact that they cut things that had no legitimate reason to be cut. The only group of people you'd appeal to by cutting out mentions of female breasts, and kissing aren't people that play visual novels in the first place.
  14. I've never played it and I doubt you have either. It's still rated 17+ so I'd imagine there's a decent amount of sexual stuff, just you know, not things that probably wouldn't fly on a vita release?
  15. IMHHW censored pointless things like kissing, and comments about breasts. The censoring in Grisaia was nowhere near that bad.
  16. Also note that Japanese high schoolers don't speak English. I guess we should just stop translating altogether now because it being in English would break immersion.
  17. Saiya walkthrough doesn't mention it, so yeah it must've been a troll. http://seiya-saiga.com/game/eufonie/koiken.html
  18. Stupid and idiot mean the exact same thing, literally what the hell are you complaining about??
  19. Which is something you should never, ever do, unless you absolutely have to.
  20. https://vndb.org/v1474 https://vndb.org/v1322 https://vndb.org/v18131 https://vndb.org/v1306 https://vndb.org/v10304 https://vndb.org/v17376 this too if you consider the twin-tail a loli
  21. There's a famous line in the three little pigs, where a character says "not by the hair on my chinny chin chin". Same principle as what was done here, and this is something small children read all the time. The line you're talking about isn't hard to understand. Grinnity grin grin, all of them contain grin, so it should be clear as day that "grinnity" is a modification of grin. So then all you need to understand as what the "ity" is. If you know English, you'll know that when you modulate a base word and have it end with a y you change it to an adjective. Example, the verb fidget you can change to fidgety. So in here they're taking grin and changing it to an adjective (though the word grinnity isn't an actual word).
  22. Here's an idea. If you come across a word that you don't understand, type it into google. You can't expect the translator to dumb down the vocabulary of the game to specifically pander to you.
  23. Whoever added that tag was an idiot. It's literally just her legs and arms being constrained by vines.
  24. Get ready to be disappointed. (spoiler: the scene is shit)
  25. Many times? You provided, like, two examples. If writers were so adamantly against writing erotic scenes they would leave writing eroge for more profitable writing positions, like for LNs and anime. The same goes for artists too. Many of them actually, you know, enjoy drawing pornography. So much so that they participate in doujin circles. Technically, you can't grow a customer-base if you only focus on your existing customers. Also, I don't really think die-hard fans want anything chuuni besides maybe some of light's titles. Tokyo Babel was basically unheard of at the time of it's announcement, so it's not super shocking that it wasn't a hit.
