  1. Welp... We ran into another error that's now coming from a .bin file, related to one of the patch files...  B)

Editing progress will cease for awhile, might as well slow down anyway to let translations go further ahead.

If anyone has any knowledge to share, feel free to do so.

  2. I tried doing some of them.. sorry if they aren't accurate though!

#1) It's unthinkable to do something such as touching a girl, but I shouldn't break team cooperation either.

#2) "Ah--- Just like now, Tae and Setsuko are handling the kitchen knife dangerously/uncertainly like we did."

#3) "I..." (seems like she wants to explain but holds back?)

#5) Frankly, I thought I had changed my clothes yesterday, but some chest fabric remained.

#6) "For now, let's change clothes." (saying the people who are able to change, can change now)

#7) "I see... I'm sure what Tae says is probably right. Perhaps, I got a little carried away."

#11) "The lead actress has arrived/appeared."

#12) "Kyaaaa, I got to hear her voice."

#13) "Onee-sama, you belong only to me, right?"

    "I've already said no."

#15) "After all, I want to go outside once in awhile~"

    #17) "Well c'mon, choose carefully~"

I will re-read the conversations again and compare, thank you Cyrillej :3

    Bow to Krylan, huehuehue.

  3. Are there any openings for an editor or proofreader on your team?

I plan to finish the editing myself, but we will need some betatesters sooner or later. We need them to play the game while proofreading/QC'ing(quality checking) at the same time for me when a certain point in translations come to pass. :3

  4. 「重いって言ったら、承知しないわよ」

「If you ever tell me I'm heavy again, I'll kill you.」
    ...or.....
「If you ever tell me I'm heavy again, I won't be as forgiving next time.」

Are these translations accurate? The one above is the original translation, and the one below is my own translation. xDDD
  5. I advice you to read it, and if you like it you should try the sequel: Majikoi S, the original heroines aren't translated but there are some new heroines (I think 5 routes correct me if I'm wrong) that have been translated. Also the third game Majikoi A-1 has Yukie's sister Sayaka translated. Hope you have fun reading

    < 4 of the 5 routes for the new heroines (Tatsuko's route isn't translated.) + 2 side routes >

  6. I read the continuation of the heroine's routes b/c I wanted to find out what happens to them afterwards.. it was pretty average but enjoyable. As expected of side-stories though. I think it's worth picking up but it'll be pretty boring at times. :3

There is also Houzuki's backstory if you're curious about the guy's past and how he turned out that way losing all emotion.

  7. My list of vn quotes i've noted down just because they were that memorable:

"It's hard to continue believing you're right when everyone around you disagrees. It's far easier to change your mind, and decide that you were the only one in the wrong. Sometimes... it's easier to accept then it is to fight it. It hurts a lot less to accept people's misunderstandings than it does to try and fight it."

    — Kotarou Tennouji (Rewrite)

"Good and evil don't matter. To me, what's right is simply what's most precious to me."
    — Kotarou Tennouji (Rewrite)

"People can't change, they merely learned how to live smart. People can become stronger or smarter. It's form may alter depending on the environment or situation. But you can never change your true nature."
    — Yuuichi Yusa (Wanko to Kurasou)

"Nobody had appreciated me before because I wanted them to like the real me. Problem was, the real me wasn't any good. So I might as well just pretend. All I had to do was act out the most convenient role. Force out the most convenient emotions. Become someone who put a smile on people's faces. Even if that meant the real me to disappear entirely, I didn't care."
    — Michiru Matsushima (Grisaia no Kajitsu)

"When you're a brat, running fast is enough to make you popular. When you're a middle-schooler, the guys who can fight will be popular, and after that it's the guys with brains who get the girls."
    — Yuuji Kazami (Grisaia no Kajitsu)

"Essentially speaking, people's lives are meaningless. For that very reason, man struggles to find something in life to cling onto: promises, friendship, vengeance, a curse, or fate - it doesn't matter. Anything will do. Through binding our fate to another, we find meaning in our own lives. No doubt this provides us with an immeasurable amount of security. And so, from time to time, man comes to depend on such things, believing it to be an eternal, unchanging entity birthed by the gods: all in order to secure an endless supply of the drug we call "bonds"."
    — Eris Floralia (Aiyoku no Eustia)

"In the world, there are things that are "doable" and things that are "not doable".
Following that logic, there are also things that one "should do" and things that one "shouldn't do".
It is easy to separate the things which are "doable" and which are "not doable", however things which one "should do" and things one "shouldn't do" is a different story.
The answer changes based on how one thinks.
Which means that by their actions, a person is revealed. "
    — Licia de novus Yurii (Aiyoku no Eustia)

"If you hesitate when asking a question, you're probably better off not asking.
When you feel the time is right to ask, they'll tell you of their own accord."
    — Mare S. Ephemeral (Hoshizora no Memoria)

"The only thing waiting for you after giving up is regret."
    — You Kogasaka (Hoshizora no Memoria)

"If that other person doesn't find the lie unpleasant, then it isn't a lie."
    — Sora Shigure (Devils Devel Concept)

"There are rare moments of goodwill shown by evil men. There are bad intentions shown on a whim by saints. The contradiction. The coexistence of good and evil is what makes people human. Life is a crime by itself, and there are punishments because one is alive. Good exists with life and evil exists with life."
    — Kirei Kotomine (Fate/stay night)

"It's not an easy balance to reach, but you have to learn to cherish the past at the same time you let go of it."
    — Ayumu Shirabe (Sweet Fuse: At Your Side)

"Don't throw away your future... by saying you're cursed to live alone.
The thing about the future is... if you believe, something's sure to happen.
Don't reject everything by assuming nothing will ever change.
That's just too sad... It's not that no one could accept you.
You weren't trying to accept the world either..."
    — Kotarou Tennouji (Rewrite)

"If you really, really feel strongly about someone, and want to make them happy...
You need to doubt them just as much as you trust them."
    — Kaine Hirata (A Profile)

""Becoming stronger helps you gain more choices, you won't be able to do anything if you have too few choices. But don't be too obsessed about becoming strong. If you become too strong then you might gain too many choices. Many have ended up regretting choosing the wrong choice along the way and strayed from their original path. Aim for strength in moderation. Even the weak can overpower the strong exactly because they have fewer choices. It all comes down to the strength of the resolve of the individual.""
    — Kuki Youkou (Ayakashibito)

"When you change yourself, the world changes with you. For example, say there's someone you hate. You never greet them when you meet. In fact, you get into fights when you do meet. But then one day, you try smiling at this person you hate. Then you don't get into a fight even though you always did. One single action you take causes something different than usual to happen. That's one of the little things meant by the world changing. Everyone lives through their relationships with other people. So if one of those people changes, then the other is forced to change too. So if you change yourself, then the world changes too. I think the simplest way to change the world is to change yourself."

  8. Game of the Month Announcement: March

The winner for non-action is: Hikoukigumo no Mukougawa

My main reason for choosing Hikoukigumo was the enormous effort put into Eiri's path, which is worth a VN in and of itself.  While both of the other paths had their down and dirty drama moments, Eiri's was a work of art, and for once I didn't feel something lacking from a game made by Flat.  I also considered Alia's Carnival, but it just didn't possess the level of depth and thought that went into Hikoukigumo.

    Clephas Choice: Hello, Lady

My reason for choosing this over Endless Dungeon (despite how hilarious and cool that addendum to the Tiny Dungeon series was), was simply the usual Akatsuki Works genius.  Hello, Lady did for me what even the chuuni games of the last few months didn't quite manage... it made me have hope for the future of story-focused VNs.  The incredible decrease in the number of quality titles over the past two years has been depressing, quite frankly, so I was happy to run across so many in such a short period of time in the last few months.  Hello, Lady proved to me that a VN could still end without the story turning into just another moral lesson, where the bad guys are somehow forgiven for everything in the end.  Shinri's unapologetic pursuit of his own goals, regardless of the cost to those around him and his determination to retain his humanity while doing it made him a singularly compelling protagonist.  The fact that his everyday actions were hilarious was just a nice bit of topping to the cake.

Time to start reading these two vns; I already had a feeling these two vns were the best releases for March. XD

Thank you for putting the time on writing this up!

  10. It's good to hear that you are still active. There were quite a few groups that just got bored and dropped a translation project :<

If would be cool if you could post an info every month or two that you are alive. It's not even about the percentage, just saying that you are there going on your own pace.

  11. I'm not dropping this even if I have to replace a whole new active team. I'll finish this to the end! You can consider this pretty inactive though. We're keeping the progess for the editing % amongst ourselves since I can't come by and update it every chance I get. As for the translation side, I don't actually know what's happening with the translator but he told me that he'll get it done. Not sure if his life is too busy yet.
