  1. Playing Vampire the Masquerade: Bloondlines for the first time. HOW HAVE I NOT PLATED THIS UNTIL NOW??

This game is amazing, even if it is dated. Playing a Malkavien amd loving the quirks that go with it. :sachi:

Agreed, really good game rpg, there is nothing out there quite like it. (but full of annoying bugs xD)

I just argued with a STOP sign, can't get better than that :)

Havent run into any bugs yet, tho I'm using a mod that claims to fix a bunch of stuff.

  2. (Goes to crack his fingers - remembers too late that two just recently healed from being broken) :komari:

You need more precious calcium to prevent Skeleton-chan from bursting out from inside you.

  3. Was more just trolling Zaka Though I do have a dislike for the stylistic choices made by the editor and translator for Tokyo Babel - but that's a matter of personal taste. I did feel there was a fairly large disconnect between the characters though (within the initial concept writing) - the pacing felt off - like the whole thing was slightly rushed, and thus none of the characters really had "time" to grow on each other in a believable fashion. That aside, the mythology in Tokyo Babel was very well researched, and is used extensively throughout.
  4. I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to (sopposedly) bad TLs, to the point I can completely ignore some of the flaws unless pointed out to me - but the TL in the screenshots (and all of Chapter 1) are pretty shameful for an official release. And knowing how things typically go, they'll blame the fanbase for the low sales. If they can't be bothered to offer a educated, professional translation (or at least written in proper English without spelling errors), I can't be bothered to invest money into it. Spelling errors are kiddie level - zero fucks are given if they can't even bother with those.
  5. Having read all of Ayakashibito and all of Tokyo Babel I would definitely recommend Ayakashibito here. Tokyo Babel has quite a few infuriating flaws Ayakashibito does not suffer from. (@Zakamutt ) Jokes aside, it's the same author for both, so you can more or less expect a similar feel, even if the separate localization teams used different methods. But as for deus ex machina - there's no escaping that in most chuuni For my personal standpoint, i found the relationships built in Ayakashibito much more personable, as a reader I grew much more invested in the cast. Plus all the lore behind Japanese mythology provides some cool insight on several occasions.
  6. Hey all, Been eyeing this update ever since it became available last year: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3086255 Been trying to reinforce my security, as time requires - but I don't know how extensive the fallout would be in terms of gaming (standard games, and VNs in general). Anyone have any 1st-hsnd experience with this causing issues?
  7. I use manual saves as checkpoints, and mash quicksave out of habit from years of games crashing/powerouts/etc.
  8. A whole lot of nothing~ Good time for me to drop some hours into that new civ game

  9. If you don't mind end-game spoilers, here's one of my more well-liked jrpgs, Lost Odyssey. Shows off just how much this game had to offer, and how ahead of it's time it really was. One of the rare few I didn't mind the dubs (esp. Jansen).
  10. God, I miss this game. Should never have given away my 360, lol ;~;
  11. He's a "nice guy" but he doesn't mess around if someone seriously pisses him off. He's the sort to try and show mercy when possible, but I wouldn't call him a wimp. He's quick to make up his mind on matters, and acts quickly. A bit dense though at times and doesn't always read the mood very well. Personally I liked him well enough - at least compared to alot of the typical anime protags.
  12. I hadn't heard of Desert Punk until now, I'll have to look it up. Though I did have a brief "love to hate" moment with Subaru - I took a guilty pleasure in his suffering in one of the lives (I'm not normally a vindictive person, but it was a "you reap what you sow" type feeling).
  13. Rem best girl - the rest are at a even tie for 2nd place. (though Beako might have a slight lead >_>)
  14. Just started Re:zero - I suspect I'm in for a long, painful experience - based on what little I've seen of Subaru's personality. I really just don't find him funny - i find him stupid. Gonna stick with it tho - a buddy of mine says it gets really good, so I'll hang on. But man, what I'd give for a likable protag - not the typical spaz's we get stuck with. EDIT: Ok, finished episode 3 - He's not that bad - at least not as much as I feared he would be. Still a bit too goofy with the 4-wall jokes though, those turn me off bigtime. Still, show seems interesting enough
  15.  note to self, ahoge and ahegao are two very different things - boy did I ever learn that fast.

  16. Options have a fairly clear leading bias in how they are written, hidden as humor - but meh, made my choices anyway
  17. Not a chance Actually, it was a gift from a coworker of mine (lent him my copy of f/sn, got him into VNs) - it's actually the first piece of merch I owned, and propelled me into buying the Saber figs~ Sometimes I consider getting a daki, but just don't have the balls for it, or the money
  18. I mostly avoid it, but I do have 3 Saber figures (alter, traditional, and white), and a artbook of Tohsaka.
