  1. uuuuggghhh.... Ordered "The big breakfast" this morning (2 eggs, 2 slices of ham, 4 strips of bacon, 2 sausages, Hashbrowns, and toast), and had the bright idea I could also handle an order of hotcakes (3 giant ones at that)...

I've always been a underweight guy - but holy hell I think I just grew another foot in all directions :komari:

    never again~

Nope, just don't have the stomach for it - you could say I'm fed up~ :sachi:

      eh? eh?

      I'll see myself out

  2. It's not the style, culture, or origin that matter to me - it's the personality, depth of characters, and immersive storytelling that win me over. I admit I favor anime artstyles over western styles, but for me its a secondary concern. Many would disagree with me - but I'm fine with "tired" tropes and cliches - as long as it's well executed. Beyond that, I feel you should create it in a way you have fun doing so - a labor of love often comes across as sincere, and typically has higher quality then a labor of profit. You'd be surprised how often a reader can tell the difference in the authors intentions. best wishes with your work!
  3. @WinterfuryZXAssuming he can stomach the ear-bleeding dubs. Great suggestions so far. Depending how far back in time you are willing to travel, I'd also reccomend FF9 (psx version - steam version is trash). My personal pick would be one of the ones you are already working on - Trails in the sky. Starts off slow, but builds into something really satisfying. I hesitate to reccomend it (as it's pretty weak as far as stories go) but there is romance within Fairy Fencer F. Just don't go into expecting anything amazing. But it does have likable characters~
  4. My two favorites. The music was the best part of this game.
  5. Thought I'd try watching Date a live, I'm going in with low expectations, based on random pics I've seen - but I won't mind if it takes me by surprise. EDIT: also, 1k posts, go me~
  6. Torn between Dracu-riot and Root double - just finished I am Setsuna, and was llooking to play a VN to mix things up~ That or wait a few more days for Himawari.
  7. @ConjuerorI can understand choosing Kohaku - she was my favorite as well. @Eclipsed 3 out of 5! They def. rank high with me (Rin, Sayaka, and Kazuna) I personally really liked Kazuna's bubbly nature in Cartagra - it really left me guessing, and kept me on pins and needles wondering what to expect from her/the story. (was it an act? was it real? etc) KnS spoiler:
  8. There are three that have stuck with me over the years, to varying degrees. 1. Suzu (obv.) 2. Tohsaka Rin 3. Hanako (Katawa Shoujo) Bunch of small and large reasons, could write a full-page essay -but to sum it up - they each possess a certain strength of character I am drawn to. And yet they are not "perfect", as they still possess times of weakness/doubt. Makes it easy to empathize with them and feel personable. That, and Suzu has the best smile in the world
  9. <Looks at the new FF.....

    "Final Fantasy: Justin Bieber edition"

<....goes back to I am Setsuna.

  10. Only thing I disagree with really. Takeru started off as an obnoxious, self-absorbed douche, and ended as an obnoxious self-absorbed douche. I might've liked the story tons more with a different MC - though hard to say.
  11. Did you do all the endings, including True lucifer? can't say you've actually finished it until you are the new lord of hell
  12. looking forward to the eventual release of the 18+ version of Grisaia (3rd chap) - then my kickstarter investment will have paid off and I can unfollow SP/Denpa, which can only seem to acquire lowbudget stuff, or sucker Fan TL teams into selling their efforts for faaar less than they are worth.

People like to say the VN scene is booming - but it isn't, it reeeally isn't. It's basically an echo chamber of indie devs stroking each other off, trying to convince themselves their work is successful and relevant. And SP encourages that mentality, which only breeds more lowbudget works, saturating the market further with fan-fiction level writing. If you think even half those "devs" have an education beyond highschool, you're sadly mistaken.

You can argue education is irrelevant- but I would counter that higher education tests a person on more than just knowledge - it tests self-discipline, professionalism, and dedication.

All the "bigger" stuff that SP has announced? I doubt we will see it within the next 5 - 10 years. Basically Jast 2.0. But who knows? Time will tell~ SP might just collapse in on itself and all those acquired projects will turn into a puff of smoke. :sachi:

I'm just feeling cranky tonight :P So that's my random bitch for the time being.

  13. Just had a flash of inspiration on the best way to explain the context of that fluffy stuff - think of it as a exercise of mild stockholm syndrome on the MC, and viewer - humanizing Yuno. More than that, I should stay quiet about until you've watched it all.
  14. I guess it's about time for a yearly change, time to pick out another Suzu shot~
  15. cliches and tropes are only boring for those that get bothered by that sort of thing, i say go nuts and enjoy it for what it is. Besides, if it's done well - execution > originality. EDIT: not that I know what the quality is like for 2heart - its been sitting in my backlog for ages
  16. It might feel forced in, but there's an odd chemistry at work behind the scenes with that stuff - when paired with later episodes. ...It's hard to describe, but it feels like it fits once you get further in~ And yeah, Yukki is utter trash. He has a handful of cool moments, but don't get your hopes up
  17. It was pretty good overall, though what really makes it shine is Yuno. The actual MC is kinda meh.
  18. Installing Enigma as I type, see how it goes - from what i've seen so far, it looks promising.
  19. That NZ Eqrthquake was pretty brutal, based on what they've shown. Hope the casualty count is low.

  20. That post title is so desperate sounding it makes it abit cringy Anyway, to clear up some misunderstandings, recommendations and general discussion is fine. Nsfw pictures or discussing matters that clearly sexualize lolis IS taboo on Fuwa though. But think about it, we have a ton of projects here - both past and present - that have loli elements involved, that we openly discuss. Comyu, Dracu-riot, Wish upon a star, Ayakashibito, IMHHW, Noble Works, Majikoi - and many others as well. Point is, there's no harm discussing/recommending the various works with loli content - just don't be creepy and/or explicit.
  21. It does. There's a difference on Vndb of "only bad endings" vs. "high amount of bad endings".
