  1. Depending when it comes out, it may get completely overshadowed by Dies Iraes' release. Unfortunate all around.
  2. Even if it's paticularly grating, I leave it on (though I tend to drop the volume to about 50% - 40%). It's typically composed to go along with specific scenes, and helps set a tone. If I read F/SN without the music - I'd be missing out on a huge portion of the experience. Music generally sets a mood in any enviorment in life, and VNs and videogames are no different. a tragic scene without music may not seem as tragic, a fight scene might feel less exciting, a scene that's meant to unnerve you might not even phase you without the tense/creepy music, etc. Nukiges are abit different, and usually have generic garbage playing (with some exceptions). But any real VN worth it's salt? You should allow the music to work into you subconciously while you read~ It's not a VN, but let me provide a good example of music playing a huge role in a scene (you mentioned enjoying W3's music, so you'll probably recognize this right away, heh): (starts at 10:48) It's not just about "something playing in the background" - it's actually a device to help tell the story - and I feel it's the same in VNs. There's typically a purpose behind each track. (obv. with some exceptions)
  3. "shrug" they made it very clear early on in the kickstarter. I admit it sucks, but still looks worthwhile imo. 'Sides, I'm guessing she has some sort of implied route, within either the general route or one of the other characters, as she does have at least one hscene.
  4. I remember how chill they were - the rep they had posting here from time to time seemed pretty decent too. Was disappointed when I found out there was no route for Iris, but w/e, still seemed worth backing. Just glad they more or less kept their initial timeframe.
  5. I've been quietly watching your work for a long time - really happy to see you've found some traction.
  6. It's a polarizing topic. Personally I liked it, I had lots of good laughs from most of it. On the other hand, I hated Rewrites' attempt at humor. Matter of mood and taste when all is said and done. If you don't initially like the premise or characters, you're likely in for a bad time - but if you like them, then all's good, right? (keep in mind I read Fruit of Grisaia when it was still just a fanTL, so any official changes to the script go over my head - though I do own both the steam and the +18 version now)
  7. For those of us with long memories
  8. I normally love chuuni, but I dropped this pretty fast. It was getting pretty angsty - but I may have just been suffering from VN-burnout at the time. Seems to have an interesting premise, at the very least.
  9. Sigh, kinda bored - wishing there was some new H-jrpg out and in english (something like Kamidori). In the mood for sexytime mixed with actual gameplay, but I've played everything that I know of that already meets that criteria. (Rance, bible black, little witch - even Kingdom, lol.)

Meh, maybe I'll just ditch the sexytime aspect and buy Andromeda or something~

Don't do it. There are lots of great games coming out recently and Andromeda is not one of them.

Yeah decided against it heh, from all that I've heard - and a pricetag just abit too high for me. Decided to just dust off something from my backlog, rather then buy something new~

  10. I sound like a broken record, but I'll say it again anyway. Not a dollar more, until my investment in the first three has seen a complete return.
  11. Meh, it's a unavoidable side effect of immersing in any medium. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Even I've been affected by it - and I normally champion that "tropes are fine if they are done well". I've gotten bored with most VNs nowadays - but I cant really blame the writers, its my fault for reading/watching as much as I have, lol~
  12. My thoughts (route spoilers, obv) EDIT: @Kiriririri I hear you In Ayakashibito, Suzu was my favorite character, but sadly her route was kind of weak imo.
  13. Ditto, grabbed a early bird pledge. Still not content with how SP uses Kickstarter - it doesn't exist to pad out profit margins - but that's just me (plus I'd be a hypocrite to make too much noise, since I took advantage of the low cost and all). That or I'm just salty waiting for two other projects under their umbrella to actually deliver what I paid, over two years ago. But I'll stop there, before this gets derailed into yet another war between the shills, moderates, and haters.
  14. Figured I should blow dust off this, and ask about compatibilty. What version are you guys working with? Should a person buy the Getchu version or DMM version? or does it matter? Dug around and saw no mention.
  15. @Darklord Rooke

Figured you might get a kick out of this vid, I'm a fan of the guys style of analysis.

  16. oof...that's really saying something... well, I'll go in with low expectations, but still believe in trying something before judging too harshly, heh. But still, duly noted.
  17. Cant be any more half-heart/bland then Aoishiro - at least, I hope not. Aoishiro was "ok" but fits your description by a close margin. I'll still give this a shot - the premise sound cool, and I like the idea of a yuri/chuuni mix - see how it goes I soppose.
  18. Lol, after watching a few everquest vids for the sake of nostalgia - decided to dust it off and play on a private server... I forgot why I stopped all those years ago~  :sachi:  I might go missing for a few months while I grind out some levels -  tell my family I love them. @Rance or @TexasDice can have my porn.

      dibs on everything with kneesocks.

  19. Its weird, i actually like the bleeps for cencored words, it addsa a certain something~ As for who TL'd it, it was def. koesti (though I'm sure he has other team members - if from the Tlwiki crew though, is anyone's guess.)
  20. must have been a connection issue while d/ling - I grabbed it off denpa pretty much 10 mins after they sent out the notice, and it all worked out fine. I've had to contact Denpasoft in the past for issues - but they are fairly reliable in responding/helping with problems - so if you haven't already, doesn't hurt to drop them a line.
  21. didn't check to see if it was listed above, but Trails in the sky 1 and 2 are pretty solid jrpgs - you can successfully go through both without any grinding (though it'll obv. be a steeper difficulty curve), and it has pretty decent music/story.
  22. I'm foolishly hoping it doesn't take another year for the final unrated version to come out, but I realize that asking a lot I guess I'd be happier about Meikyuu unrated being done, if I was willing to read it now instead of when the third is ready (as I've heard Meikyuu has a cluiffhanger ending). EDIT: actually, I wonder if the releases are staggered on purpose, to capatilze on sales, rather then compete with itself? (unrated versus steam) when I think about it, my steam copies unlocked during the springtime, and the unrated have been fall/winter~
