  1. Belated happy new year, man! Have seen you around here or on Twitter from long while, hope you're doing alright out there~

    Wishing you the best :mare:

thanks man, but yeah various stuff happened, leaving me in a heavily depressed/self-destructive state.

Glad to hear from you bud :wafuu:. Take it one day at a time, nice and easy. Personally, what keeps me living is to just enjoy the little things in life~

  2. Just waxing nostolgia~ I like the guys style though, thats for sure
  3. Can't speak for chronic migraines, but am close to someone with advanced PTSD. It's pretty rough on them - everyone reacts differently to it - sometimes with ease, and sometimes with great trouble - it really depends on the depth of the trauma. she takes a lot of meds to keep aspects of it under control, and will likely never lead a completely "normal" life.
  4. The choices are kind of random, but I put my money on Enigma - turned out to be a really decent read. Def. a underrated gem by Fruitbat. EDIT: Ah, the next poll is out already. Not really surprised Enigma came second - Kindred Spirits had most of 2016 to circulate, and Engima had very little time and publicity.
  5. I'll have to see the final work before I start hating it.
  6. somedays, you just want to light a box full of puppies on fire

(disclaimer, no puppies will be/have been harmed)

  7. lol. so judgy over trivial matters. If you think this stuff is bad (artistically) then you clearly never bothered reading the original versions of "when they cry" works. And as for it being "copy paste", I'll never understand people that think the only good works are the ones completely original - breaking all tropes and cliches. 'Cause I hate to break it to you, cupcake - but everything is a borrowed idea if you dig deep enough. Hell, if your looking for originality, the VN scene is def. not the place to look. Except for the odd gem, most generally follow a familiar recipe to one extent or another. Persoonally I'll keep an open mind until I see the final release. I can't say KS's writing was ever brilliant - but it was engaging - so if it's inspired by, and can manage to get me invested in a similar way, I'll call it a job well done. Certainly cant be any worse then some of the shit that sells on Steam.
  8. tfw you want to skip an appointment, but cannot/should not :amane:

  9. They were part of the kickstarter when I pledged, that's for sure. Paid 40 - 50 extra to have it added to my final pledge. So, I'm guessing we won't see the 3rd installment until the end of 2017/early 2018? sigh~
  10. TBH, MG has come a long ways from what it used to be like, imo. I admit I was a little butthurt when it DMCA'd the fanlation, as well - but bygones be bygones and all that~ I've developed a strong respect for them in recent years - faaaar beyond what I feel for its competitors. As far as I'm concerned, my subjective opinion is that SP (and its horde of indies) managed to spark - and then overmilk (kill), mainstream interest in the medium. And Jast? well...
  11. Cool, been waiting on this one for years - the release date is kind of iffy though, it's right around the same time as Tales of Berseria. Gonna have to do a coin toss to decide which to go through first.
  12. That ending probably had the strongest impact on me out of many endings. It did a great job of making me feel like utter garbage inside, lol~ I still rate it as one of the top bad endings.
  13. Shame best girl didn't have her own route well, she did kind of in Lilliths route, but still~
  14. Lucky for you, Steam has a ton of content that fits that bill. On a side note - gotta say having all these neutered eroges is getting kinda annoying. I mean, can't speak for anyone but myself, but I originally got into VNs for the porn - story-depth was discovered after the fact.
  15. Started up Shadow Tactics - its actually pretty good, I like the dubbing - they even handle the honorifics with a natural feel (which is rare). Gameplay itself is pretty fun too.
  16. Wizards 1st rule: "People are stupid." -Zeddicus

    (Terry Goodkind series)

Man, haven't read that stuff in almost 15-20 years, I should see if I can get it on CD/digital

  17. I just read the desc. on vndb - I don't really see any similarity. incidentally, I wasn't a big fan of Comyu but 11eyes sounds pretty interesting. Probably will pick it up when I have some spare cash - assuming the getchu version works with the eng patch.
  18. 1. if there's commentary and/or analysis, I'm ok with it. But if it's just a silent LP - I dislike it - it's really no different then if you are seeding a torrent, except you host it on YT rather than elsewhere. 2. I doubt it would have any positive or negative impact tbh. It's not the sort of LPs a random person will just stumble across - it's something you'd have to actively search for, so its really only appealing to the core base - those that plan to buy will buy anyway, and those that will pirate will pirate~ Having said all that, I do like some of the LPs that have "active" discussions/reactions, like one FSN Lp I dug up a little while back - hearing his imput while going through it was interesting in it's own way.
  19. Bleh, I need a button that let's me turn off my higher thought processes.

    Overthinking sucks.

Not exactly a 'button' but this usually does the trick. Enjoy :)

Hahaha, good ol' Jack Daniels and I have a mixed history :makina: we call each other from time to time, but decided it's best not to hang out too often.

Still, it's been awhile since I had a good drink, might not be a bad suggestion, as long as I get some buds to come over and partake~ :sachi:

  20. During my 1st playthrough of Ayakashibito, I didn't have any real issues going through other heroines' routes - but that was mainly because the storytelling was really well told, and Suzu remained an important part of the MC's life - even if not romantically. Basically, regardless of any empathy I develop for the characters, I know how to "go with the flow" in most cases. (with some exceptions) minor spoiler in her route: Though strangely enough - the heroine I've been most attached to isn't even in a VN, but rather a jrpg - Wild Arms 5 - Avril has had a bittersweet place in my heart for years and years. The only fictional character I actually think about from time to time~ I don't really mind if people think that's strange - I like to think of it as a side-effect of being a sensitive, caring soul.
