About Me

CAUTION: I can't guarantee your safety if you read this. Beware of TLDR

First of all I would like to say that I am not at all good at talking about myself or describing myself, but I will do my best :P

Note: After reading what I wrote here, I thought I'd say this... Be prepared for my life story

Note 2: I'm slightly colorblind and I'm not sure if this bit in the beginning has the same color as the rest of the text. I couldn't really find the right color.

Note 3: A lot of the links I've tried to make probably don't work. At least I couldn't get them to work. So yea sorry about that, but I don't feel like updating them atm

My username is, if you can't tell, Onlineglax and my real name is Max, so you can call me any of those.

I'm a Danish guy, who is in what would be equivalent to high school in Denmark, and I enjoy watching anime, reading manga, and reading visual novels (even though I haven't read a lot yet).

Except for my love for anime and all that, I enjoy being a gamer playing various games.

I'm also a big football (soccer for the Americans and Australians) fan.

I started watching anime around the age of 8, with my first anime being Inuyasha, which I watched with my older sister.

I didn't really start becoming a huge anime fan before August 2011, where I started watching anime regularly. I had watched some anime before that, but this was when I started doing basically nothing else and I started watching ongoing anime

I then began reading manga about the same time as I began watching anime regularly.

Visual novels was also something that I had heard of before, but I first tried it around September 2012, because a friend of mine suggested it. It was quite enjoyable, but I never finished a lot... mainly because I was so sad that Dracu-Riot was/still is only partially translated (at least it's the best heroine that is translated).

But I do enjoy to play them, and I picked it up again after a break over the course of 2013-14, because I went to a "boarding school" (There's not really a good equivalent in other countries than Denmark) for a year and my focus got set on something else. But after getting into 2015 I again had a hiatus from VNs, because I was overwhelmed with school and the enjoyment of other games.

Update December 2015: Over the holidays my cousin talked me into watching "Shingeki no Kyojin" (Attack on Titan), which made me miss the enjoyment of watching anime, reading manga, and playing VNs. So right now I have again decided to pick it up for who knows how long.

Visual Novels, which I have finished:

Deardrops

Hoshizora no Memoria

I have finished the common route and Elina's route in Dracu-Riot! I really hope the translations get finished at some point, and if they do, then Dracu-Riot will take top priority over everything else.

Just finished the common route of Noble Works, which was suggested to me by Eclipsed. So sad that all the routes aren't translated. Such a shame. It's Dracu-Riot all over again (not in the it takes a very long time department, but just in the I really want to finish it department). I hope it gets translated soon. A fun detail, which I found very interesting is that the characters turn their backs towards the protagonist if they're talking to someone else, I'm not sure if this is common, but it is the first time I have seen it. It is a nice touch.

Update: I completed Sena's route in Noble Works, now that it has been fully translated. I plan to get the other routes done (except Hinata's!) in the near future.

It is worth mentioning that I have a document with some VNs, which I have been suggested, and telling me who suggested them. If you have a VN, which you think I should try, then feel free to tell me. I will be sure to try it out at some point :D

Ok I  decided to add some more information:

Favorite Anime:

  • "Code Geass". A very enjoyable show over 2 seasons. A nice story with some nice characters and deep characters.
  • "Tokyo Ghoul". An amazing "gore?" anime (is that what you call the genre). The character development of the protagonist is great and the story is quite good as well.
  • "Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso" or "Your Lie in April". This is a music & romance anime with great and deep characters. The music is great and makes for a nice experience and the story is good. The anime follows the original manga closely, so it leaves close to nothing out.
  • Also a lot of other animes could be listed, but it's been a while since I've watched those, so I wouldn't know what to write.

Favorite Mangas:

  • "Horimiya". Just a nice and relaxing Slice of Life & romance manga
  • "The World God Only Knows" or "Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekaiif you prefer the Japanese title.
  • "Pokemon Adventures" manga. It's amazing, or at least the first 29 volumes are amazing (Thats the story from the RBG arc to the Emerald arc).
  • "Kimi no Iru Machi" or "The Town Where You Live" (I think). This anime gave me so much feels for the first 140 or so chapters, but then I had a realization that I didn't really like the protagonist and I stopped reading. I'll finish it at some point. So even though I stopped and didn't read it for around 2 years it still deserves a spot on my favorites list. Also because even though the protagonist might not be perfect that is something that makes him more humane and makes the manga a lot more 'feely' (couldn't think of the right word for it)
  • "Tokyo Ghoul". I love this one, really worth checking out, especially if you liked the anime.

It did leave me with a lot of questions though

  • "Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso". This manga is very good, but the anime follows it very closely and has the music part, which makes the anime a lot more preferable to me. But put on some classical music and read the manga. It's great.
  • "Tokyo Ghoul:re" This is a continuation of Tokyo Ghoul, so that's cool.

Other stuff I like, which has some connection to anime/manga/VN's:

  • the "Sword Art Online" light novels by Reki Kawahara. They are amazing. So if you like SAO go check them out. So far 6 out of 16 have been officially translated and 15 have been unofficially translated. I started reading them before the official translation was announced, so I still read them unofficially, but I plan on getting all of the official translations.

Video games, which I tend to enjoy:

World of Warcraft (Yes people still play it... I know right :o ) (I stopped playing it though...)

Fifa (You know the football game)

Borderlands (1 and 2. Haven't picked up the pre-sequel... I want it!!!)

Heroes of the Storm, Diablo and generally any Blizzard game tbh (And I'm looking forward to Overwatch, stopped playing Hearthstone)

Elder Scrolls series (Not Elder Scrolls Online. I was in the beta and I'm not going back)

League of Legends (only really if I'm playing with friends and I never hit lvl 30)

I could keep going, but tbh I don't play the games  I would metion (not anymore at least)
